Harried

Seth Brown had a popular magic act
everybody in town knew that fact.
But his rabbit got sick
with a display of I C K.
Seth fired the rabbit and got a new hat.

Premium MemberThis Harried Life

The day my life became harried
was not the exact day I married
but, the stress turn is deeply storied
in all things wife and mother varied:

While it is piling up,
I attempt bearing up,
patience blows up
and discord shows up;

Known as routine,
it makes one mean,
it creates pressure,
it makes attitudes lesser;

not a mustang of emotion,
not of magical potion,
not made of total reason
sometimes I am not pleasin’;

fury grown from resentment,
fury needing contentment,
fury of blinding confusion
longs for harmonies intrusion;

so my mind sorts its pain,
my body absorbs its strain and
my heart seeks its inspiration
as my housewife desperation

attacks

the cleaning vocation.

Harried Society and the Voice of Nature

Society demands, upends
Threatening the loss of voice
Burying the vitality of self

Society wants your disease, craves it
Needs you to submit in belief
That society is the only support

Nature quietly pushes its roots
Or sudden adjusts itself
Marked by essential movement

The water, the land, the fire of the sun
Are made for man's bounty
Are assembling constantly to provide

Living in sync with the sky
You are never forced to lie
To cheat, to steal, or to renege

Nature knows itself in the love of days
Calling for us to follow its ways

Premium MemberResponse of a Harried Housewife To Her Spouse

“The
children
are always
interrupting.
You never have time
for me,” her husband whined
as he dropped his dirty clothes
right there on the floor by the bed.
Trying not to roll her eyes, she gave
this quick response to her disgruntled spouse:
“The kids, chores and mishaps have me spinning,
and you tell me you feel rejected.
To have a blissful home takes two.
Consideration is key.
I’m also missing you!
To be successful
in our bed, take
time OUT of
it. . . for
ME!”

A Harried Life

Life is lived in one breath,
especially when it is demanding,
through the rush and melee',
we miss the things that are
so beautiful and carefree,
One day rolls into the next,
The years go by so fast,
which leaves us wondering
if we lived life fully, or knew
how it felt to really have
a "blast".

Harried Hurry

Slipping and sliding along
Downhill days of later life
Rushing headlong madly
With nought to do I think of you
Keeping busy haphazardly sadly
Frantic antics slowed reactions
Thoughts awry with flustered bluster
Like swarm of bees in rumble cluster
Piling days of constant wrath
In aggregating piles
Neath slews of good intentions
And aggravating smiles
Stocks and stacks of special moments
Crammed in black holes of ire
Frustrations out in flashing torments
Of all consuming fire
Swimming through this world of red
I stumble up the stair to bed
To dream again of us
