Greediest Poems | Examples

Premium Membersucking it up

An empty leader can feel like a king
And every waking minute without pause
Seek small brain rewards and shun self-made flaws
Expressing great thirst for some bloody bling
So what if the weakest lose everything?
Steal stuff from the tables of Santa Claus
Suck up wealth faster with industry’s straws
Make each transaction end with a ka-ching
From whom every last drop of gold could spring
Take bigger bites with the greediest jaws
Justify the cause by chewing up laws
Stop all redress, sting the needy and sing:
“I can’t get no satisfaction near here
So I’ll grab all action others find dear”

Welcome To the Time Warp

Welcome to the Time Warp

Does it seems that history seemingly repeats
Where the simplicity of life is so rare to find
And the kindness of heart finds no retreats
No sharing of wealth, greediest of mankind

Where fear amongst the masses abound
Perpetrated by forces designed to protect us
Where human rights are lost without a sound
Our way of life changed, forever superfluous

Freedom of speech is silenced by the stroke of a pen
Unsure of what we’re told, will these lies never end
Being controlled by the wealthiest of businessmen
And our losses of freedom too much to comprehend

Welcome to the time warp, once again we all fall prey
We become just pawns to an unjust power once again
Perhaps it’s time to take a stand, one voice have our say
The time has come to speak freely, if not now, then when

Lilac Orbs

Words silent turn at the melodic tunes
Oozing from the lush lilts of your eyes;
Telling of stung lover’s anthems warm,
Of the rapt poet whose scribbling dies.

Windows into realms old lyricists laud,
Whereon Love and Truth twain thrive;
Each by doubtful duplicities unscarred,
Unsullied by decays of greediest drive.

See how the language of your look,
As some evanescent lover’s secret,
Amid rosy violets resistless shines;
Inviting once-bitten soul truthful yet?

Methinks your mien undeceiving sews
Back to peace yester-heartbreak's all;
Reshaping pulses' rhythms wounded...
Still-white breasts darkened by brawl.

Save Our Rain Forest

There are so many people pleading cases.
I am sure these facts speak for themselves
When I say there are very few places
Where man hasn't built bridges with strong
Braces
For man is one of the greediest races.
There are pilots who are known as aces.
They know where there are secret spaces
Where you will see only animal faces.
Huge cats that can walk with out leaving
Any traces.
Colorful birds in all stages
Who try to escape man's cages.
There are also lists of insects and spiders
That man wants to put in to book pages.
I believe through artists who have special
Brush stroke graces
They can show us the beauty of our rain
Forest on canvas or vases.
Our children would have the benefit of
Seeing the beauty of the lands
That would of been destroyed by the hands
Of only man....
Who felt everything from rain to what ever
Should be put in an aerosol can.

The Eating Habits of Vanilla Gussett

I am me!

I am beautiful greediest me!

I'm quite simply gigantic, enormous, colossal- bigantic!

I'm huge I'm not small I could fill Albert hall -

What a beautiful thing to be me.

I can eat a cake shop in one sitting

Forty boxes of chocs without quitting,

If I had half a mind to-

I could well be inclined to

-Start over again, food permitting.

They say I've no stomach to diet.

'Lazy lummock!' they scream. 'You must try it!'

I just laugh from my belly

Till it wobbles like jelly,

'Come on then,' I say, 'come and fry it!'

It is said I'm too lazy to chew.

It's an art, It's not easy to do.

I just open my gob

And with a flick and a lob-

Down the hatch, tallyho, toodaloo!

Where Greed Hides Herself

the people's money
they called it porked
inside a barrel
that can be inserted
on the greediest pockets
tax from sweat and blood
of the working class
that strive
to find conforts in life
to help the poor as they reasoned

long greed had consumed
the country that i call my love
that the money i have worked hard for
where have all gone
long greed hides itself under the shadow of charity
but we are not damned anymore
the wisdom within us
awaken
and we cannot be decieved anymore

Premium MemberMy View From the Porch

Only stupid people call people stupid
Only losers will cheat in order to win
Only inferior people try acting superior
Only liars will give the truth a new spin

Only the insecure put down those who are different
Only those who won’t listen are loudest to speak
Only the greediest among us acquire no value
Only those who aren’t strong pick on the meek

Only the hardened heart spews venom of hate
Only those who throw stones are bound to be hit
Only those who are willing to admit they aren’t perfect
Are welcomed to join me on the porch where I sit

Corporate Whores and Company Men

corporate whores & company men

hollowed out somewhere along the line,
sitting on the shelf, waiting for the promised
glory,
every bit of style designed by others pushing
them like the most savage drug on the
“naïve public,”
every step on the ladder covered in bling
luring in the greediest of pigs,
lathered up in
the colognes & perfumes provided
that bear their names,
with manufactured voices &
manufactured gestures,
each step planned out by a committee,
each appearance set up by a group of others
who pull the strings but stand in the
shadows
(aimed to gain more than the puppets
however, never foolish enough to
take part in a photo op),
smiling for the pictures,
standing in the spotlight,
working 25 hours a day,
tying off & shooting dollar bills
straight
into
their
veins,
standing tall as the most appreciated role models
of the 21st century
american.

Hold On Tight

Hold on tight,
get ready for the storm,
better seek shelter,
a place safe from harm.
It is upon us,
inflation gone wild,
bull is everywhere,
pile after pile.
What has happened,
I fell into a hole,
I know what Alice,
in a Fairy Tale told.
Everyday, is something new,
no one,
anywhere,
knows what to do.
Throwing money,
into a bottomless pit,
where the greediest of the greedy,
are taking all they can get.
Hello, hello,
is anyone there,
hello, hello,
does anyone care?
Talk about the future,
let's worry about now,
if things get worse,
there won't be one anyhow.
Tread that water,
keep your head held high,
we're in this together,
you, and I.
