In bed with you,
The swallowtails, I count their dots.
In bed with you,
Inside this box, the splinter rue.
This garden floats with spectral spots.
You seem cold now; I had the hots,
In bed with you.

Above the fray,
Where grass is green, and swans be loud.
Above the fray,
Clouds black and blue, the bullets spray.
The kissing lips of peril, proud,
With barely friends away from crowd.
Above the fray.

Seems a lifetime
Ago, our laughter gonged from bell.
Seems a lifetime
Lasts longer than a couple’s dime.
The ducks matter, but he wouldn’t tell.
Not in a row - all is not well.
Seems a lifetime…

Premium Member Two church mice

Two church mice scurried along,
rolling their dice and squeaking a song..
The congregation gathered,
This day it drew a throng.
The little mice quickly hid as the church bells gonged..
The sermon began.
People seated in the pews.
All rose to sing a hymn and sat again for church news..
The sermon was on "the good shepherd and his flock."
Suddenly a partitioner screamed and every one had a shock,
as the two church mice climbed into the pastor's frock..

Let's see. It's our first date
So let's talk about, uh, well
How about abortion? That'd be fun --
You know, maybe debate it or something

No, huh? O.K. Well, Trump! That's it!
Donald J. Trump. Do you like his
sense of humor?! How about his taste
in women, like, you know, 'Horseface?!'

Not your cup of tea, I see. Well, then
Could we maybe discuss critical race
theory? After all, I'm white, and you're
  a half-breed, aren't you? -- What?!...

Gee. Whatever did I say wrong
  to get so resoundingly gonged?

~ Trick or Treat on the Moon ~

The man in the moon's really kind of neat
Every Halloween he plays trick-or-treat
   When astronauts come
   He acts kind of dumb
"Green cheese is all I can give you to eat."

~ The Turkeys in Tennessee ~

The turkeys in Tennessee are so smart
They're never in Thanksgiving shopping carts
   They've learned how to duck
   To avoid bad luck
When the ax swings, they emit giant farts

        ~ Christmas 'Carol' ~

Every Christmas there's a gal named Carol
Whose awful voice turns celebrants sterile
   She sings Christmas songs
   And always gets 'gonged'
Listeners don hospital apparel

    HAPPY UPCOMING HOLIDAY SEASON!

Robbed

If you only knew what you're death has made
If you only knew how you were betrayed
When you left us, it left us breathless
Stunned and shocked
It seems when yours stopped, another heart
just up and locked
The parasite emerged and showed it true colors
Thinking only of themselves, put self above others
I know I said some things, purely done in grief
But you were my bro, I deserve reprieve
Everything you wanted, was just simply squandered
I think of the past and I have thought and I pondered
Did any misdeed done by me, warrant the sentence?
Realized and apologized, I showed some repentence
Received just a slap in the face and a kick in the ****
Your legacy was left in the hands of a farce
A phoney, who was never human all along
If I'm wrong, I'll be gonged, and I will just go on
But I feel you should know, felt you needed to know
That the camera's were rolling and the worlds seen the show

The Hearth of My Heart

I saw the coffin of my daughter leave,
Ashen faced and pale darkened lips,
Her heart was dead and body cold,
Listless she moved out of my threshold to horizons unseen.
Turn back she would not, nor weep her doe eyes,
My soul gonged, the end of love had begun,
Never again my child shall return to the hearth of my heart.

Help she had asked, but was ruthlessly flayed
Silencing her heart to stone,
Tears vaporised and her eyes froze,
The innocence vanished and love buried.
The gurgle of laughter was heard but a century ago,
Dutiful she will be, but never ever be mine,
Never again shall my child return to the hearth of my heart.

Born were we as children and soon turned into parents,
Languishing for freedom were our hearts in an unhappy childhood,
Of restrictions imposed on dried young hearts.
Mental tortures we repeat that we in elders had perennially despised,
God's laws for loving and giving, trust and freedom, elders do disband,
The helpless solutions remain our crowning ego
Now my hearth is in embers when my child is gone.
