The door to heaven is joyfully found in his music
Glenn Hughes
Rocking voices
Singing dancing bassing
Calming soothing rocking rolling
The best
the plane ascended.
i yelled it.
this straw in the wind; fly fly fly
i felt it was a necessary affectation
to ensure a safer flight
or rather a calmer form of passenger
bring out the java
i want to ride the bean
we soar, slope upward
i greet the turbulence
with grit
i summon over a flight-attendant and
offer to help up there with the pilot
she politely turns down my offer
and the choppiness subsides
but i still want a role
give me valiantness, worthiness, nobility
and astropolitics
we thank the crew as we disembark
i look into the flight attendant's helium-3 eyes
'when men are arrived at the goal, they should
not turn back.'
i was stopped at immigration for four hours
Glenn Hughes is great
He sings so strong
I love his act
He does so belong
He plays the bass
Yes, loud and clear
He makes you want
To come closely near
Fifty years of music
Since he was young
So hard to tell
When it all begun
So we dance tonight
To tunes so nice
It is just simply
A grand pure delight
Acoustic Beauty.
Creatively Dazzles Every Friend.
Glenn Hughes Is Joyously Kind.
Laughter Must Now Open Performances.
Quietness Renders Soft Tenderness.
Until Violins Whisper Xylophone Yellow Zest
I don’t recall that first splendid moment
Our meeting point is unknown to my mind
I can still bring to thought your lovely scent
Two perfect strangers so sublime
But I have a life so no more of this
I beg you to please leave me and forget
On just a whim we discovered that bliss
We must remain perfect strangers that met
I’m sorry for the pain that I cause you
All the tears shed for not hearing from me
Cause truly I hoped for a love anew
Yet we must stay perfect strangers sadly
I am sorry for not showing my face
A stranger I will be with not a trace
It was a dark and dreary day
Thor was outside hammering clouds
causing all sorts of thunder and lightning
I was up late
I haven’t slept in six years
ever since the Illuminati poisoned my brain
I was sad and I could hear the sirens
calling for me…
“Robert, Robert, come to the bay”
But as I put on my shoes to head for the water
I decided to put Glenn Hughes on the vinyl record player
and to this end he saved me
His lyrics were gifted and crafted as if they
were designed just to hold me tight
his voice lifted and elevated me…
took me out of my shoes
I’ll never forget this day and other days
where he saved me
saved me from the sirens
saved me from the bay
I love you Glenn
I respect you Glenn
And out of appreciation, I will hold Glenn Hughes inspiration poetry contests every month from now until the end of eternity
Glenn Hughes’ music keeps me strong
with the sense that I belong
in this world that’s so cruel and mean
with foes and enemies to be seen
What I’m trying to say
is he lights the way
with his lyrics so strong
down a path that’s very long
He guides and holds my hand
and let’s me understand
that I’m not alone here in this place
and that I should have good faith
I’ll listen to him everyday
and when in comes to happiness I’ll say
that I love Glenn so very much
his lyrical voice is a golden touch
She was welcomed into my house
where she entered and said…
what is that quite romantic music playing?
Oh, it is Glenn Hughes on my vinyl record player
and I showed her how it spins and plays the tunes
she was amazed
And then she asked me…
may I have this dance
to which I held her in my arms
Glenn sang and we danced
bowed and swayed, scooted and hopped
all the maneuvers of lovers
And then I looked in her eyes
and she was crying
“What is it my love”, I asked
“It is that I wish to dance with you to Glenn’s music
For all eternity, forever and a day
I don’t ever want to stop”
“But my love”, I said…
“Glenn has over 50 years of songs
We can dance through the night to all his albums”
Her tears began to dry
As she let me hold her dear tight
and she moved in rhythm and twirled in my arms
“Would you like to see Glenn in concert”, I asked
“Oh would I” she exclaimed
“Then a trip to the venue it will be”
But tonight will be with Glenn on vinyl
singing his romantic songs to us
as we so deeply embrace
Music that touches the soul
That makes one’s aura glow
For sure this I know
As his voice makes me whoa
From lyrics I watch sow
The next album is always a go
Sing is what Glenn Hughes does
what is the rare truth
tonight I will play Glenn Hughes on repeat
The Voice of Rock
His songs touch my soul
Music is the Healer
it is our words upon his lips we seek
Why do anything at all except listen to Glenn
his body of work is Golden
Oh there is so much love.

“Music is the healer” — Glenn Hughes
My one goal is to write more poems
inspired by Glenn Hughes songs
It could be new songs or ones I know
to touch more heart where they belong
A poem a day would be a nice goal
so soupers can enjoy the words spoke so loud
I write next to my blueberry bowl
and send the words out to the GH crowd
You can share this goal with me if you like
because everyone loves Glenn so much
if not just go take a hike
as we don’t need your crybaby fuss
So perhaps tonight I’ll begin my goal
just look at my poems and you’ll surely know
that I love Glenn like some people love gold
and I don’t think I’m being too bold
Sing is what Glenn Hughes does
Sung is what Glenn Hughes was
Dung is for those who hate
Ding to remind not to stay up late
Dine to eat while Glenn Hughes sings
Wine to drink as his music rings
Wipe to take away the tears
Pipe to smoke against more music to hear
His music is mesmerizing but can one compare it to the sense of Heaven or Hell? He screams as the Voice of Rock and many of his songs are indeed angelic, but what of the ones that turn the fire on? I can see him sampling both, after all Glenn is a God.
what is the rare truth
journey to heaven or hell
to rest or to burn
