THE ASTRONAUT = John Glenn
As certain as I see the world below
some things I'd overlooked, within my haste
come to my mind, and in it now, I know
we can't allow what time remains to waste.
What God's become, because we've let it be,
would change if only you'd see what I do,
spread out below, right here in front of me
a fragile sight--most delicate a view.
To see the whole thing, as it is complete,
the total world, big pictures only show,
is recognizing what's beneath our feet
was made by one who knows more than we know.
My question's not to ponder as to how
God made the world--but how to save it now.

Long live the King of Swing!
Imagine sitting down and eating
chocolate bars with Glenn Hughes
Nothing could be sweeter
than this grand event
Think of all the bittersweet dialog
talking about lyrics for upcoming songs
and reflecting on his 50 years of music
Would there be nuts in your chocolate
and maybe dip them in a bit of honey
One can only dream of such circumstances
maybe a contest in order to make it come true
Anyway, I’m on my way to Wawa
to get chocolate bars
while my radio
is tuned to Glenn Hughes

Long live the King of Swing!
Your words and songs they
touched our souls.
In disbelief, sad news unfolds.
In intensive care you fought the
fight!
On this sad night you lost your life!
Your lying eyes will play
forever.
You Being here, would be much
better.
Band members are missing you.
Adoring fans they feel it to!
Thank you for giving us one
last show. In Buffalo you played
your best Rock and Roll.
At the Sad Cafe we will go and see.
Why fortunes smile on some and
lets the rest go free.
Tequila Sunrises will guide
your way. Your cherished
songs will play and play.
I wish you well my dear old friend.
This world will never be the same...
Michael Tor
Dedicated to Glenn Frey Eagles Band founder.
"Wonder why fortunes smile on some and lets the rest go
free." Is taken from lyrics of Sad Cafe Song off the Long
Run album. I am forever grateful to Elena and my brother
Gus for getting me the tickets to their last to last concert
in Buffalo NY. They played one more together in Toronto.
Toronto was their last with Glenn alive. Long live Glenn Frey.....

Glenn Turner and Randall "Randy" Thompson were the best police officer and volunteer firefighter in all of Cobb County, Georgia, until March 1995 (WWF Monday Night Raw and WWF Wrestle-Mania XI) and January 2001 (Raw Is War, WWF SmackDown!, and the WWF Royal Rumble) when their lives were taken away from their loving families by Julia Lynn Womack: aka the "Black Poisoning Widow." It seems that it was these two guys in uniform who married the same woman, especially when she was after their money, totaling hundreds and thousands of dollars, even in life insurance. Glenn and Randy have been killed by a deadly liquid by the form of Etheline Glycol rich antifreeze; Lynn Turner used it to spike that of lime-flavored gelatin (green Jell-O), sweet iced tea, and chicken noodle soup. Now, how cold-blooded was that? But to be honest, Maurice G. Turner and Randy Thompson, God rest their souls, really never should've met this gold digging assassin named Julia Lynn Womack (who's now dead) to begin with. Their families, their colleagues, and the citizens of Cobb County, Georgia, they still don't understand why the lives of these two men have to end in a tragic manner. They've got a bunch of whole lives ahead of them. But now that Lynn Turner, who killed both her police officer husband and her firefighter boyfriend, is dead, she can't hurt anyone else ever again. Randall and Glenn are no longer with their friends and families (including their moms), but their spirits will live on forever and they'll see their loved ones in heaven one day. And as for Julia Lynn Womack-Turner, she got what was coming to her and may she burn in the giant pit of inferno for all eternity.
John Glenn,
an honored citizen.
A renowned astronaut and senator, too,
an American hero, brave and true.

Was just a young'un in the big band era
But it seems just like yesterday
Listening to Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey
Still love it right to this day
Miller's Modernaires, and Dorsey's Pied Pipers
With their smooth harmonic blend
Chattanooga Choo-Choo and The Trolley Song
Brought me so much pleasure no end
Guess I was influenced by my older sisters
Was not even ten at the time
It just goes to show the impact they had made
For those long ago days I still pine
It wasn't until Elvis debuted in fifty-six
When Rock'n Roll took over
The Big Band era came quickly to a halt
And ended it's popular exposure
Don't even know what is popular today
Or even if they've given it a name
Guess I'm just an old guy living in the past
Progress is the name of the game
my rhine stone cowboy
i have known you for so long
so many records and so many songs
we have aged haven't we
and words just seem to fade nowa days
but i remember when we were in our prime
a country music star you were in my time
nothing less than all the rest
you came out with songs that were the best
and now that grey has taken away
we look at you and honor this day
the best country singer that came our way
i'll never forget you and our day
you were my generation
and you played it well
God had blessed you with a wonderful spell
and if it were i that had to tell
Glenn Campbelle was the best i'd yell
Form:
Glenn plays music very loud
To a nice Thanksgiving crowd
I will sit and eat
While ears hear the treat
Everyone around is wowed
Glimpse once again the old lyrics,
Lines echo well in fond refrains;
Etchings of pain in cool music,
Notes and strains tell poignant and plain;
Now find sweet peace dear singer sleep;
Float beyond brief to that sure light,
Reach that sure ease with rest most deep;
Exit sans grief beyond our sight,
Yes soul wings home with profound grace.
Ending seals fate upon these gates,
And then fond roam where joy thrills face;
Gifts of song state a vivid fate,
Love circles round as echoes flaunt,
Endow these grounds with tunes that haunt.
Sense style profound in worthwhile taunt.
