Shall I compare myself to my king,
My humble lord Lebron,
With his 4 rings,
His Lakers jersey he dawns,
With his shot point average so high,
The world without him,
I would surely die,
His time all spent training in the gym,
His team now weak,
His Time nearly past,
He acts so meek,
I’m not sure how long I will last,
His eyes still looking towards the future,
With his son he still must nurture

I rest my head on her heart;
In this I heard her beating love;
And as was just about to fall apart;
I realized she is the only one I love;
Seems to say;
I captive at bay;
Seems to me;
I think she loves me;
Seems to find;
this is the right time
For our love to blossom
I hold her hands, look into her eyes;
I embrace her as often as I can;
Looking into her eyes searching for her soul;
Looking past her love trying to embrace her soul;
Seems to say;
I captive at bay;
Seems to me;
I think she loves me;
Seems to find;
this is the right time
For our love to blossom
~As I lay on her chest glaze into her eyes to witness her beautiful soul-

You were never a choice,
You were never an option,
You were the only one,
The only receiver of the token.
Your dulcet voice,
opens doors to various imaginations.
Your deep-set eyes,
place where lies my nation.
Your alluring magnanimious face,
admired for infinite duration.
The words can't embrace,
your appealing expression.
Deep red intoxicating wine encased,
The Day of our declaration.

If the soap is running far and wide,
you need to check the box
Those leaks, the promises never kept,
from all that spew you talked
When eyes glaze over—attention lost,
its time to reassess
The truth has no expiration date
—your faults to now confess

The warm patina of old age is cherished
revered, conserved, protected as irreplaceable.
Unlike the wrinkles and scars
that deface waned youth expired.
Only time and good care
coats much-loved keepsakes
with protective patina -
the glaze and sheen of esteemed age.

Aura of her eyes
As she laughs
Bursting pop
Sparkles around all of her
Unearthly feeling

The first day of spring arrived one week ago
Leaving winter behind like a shadow
Mornings after were filled with sunlight
Dancing daffodils and budding trees in highlight
But winter won’t give up the fight so easy
Weatherman calls for rain, it’s now freezing
As the spring rains first begin to flow
Prayers go out that there will be no snow
Forgetful of the most harsh winter days
We didn’t pray to miss the icy glaze
This morning in awe I stepped out to find
Winter has left one last mark for the time
Like beautiful crystal it hangs off the trees
Coating like glass all that one sees
It sparkles like firelight reflecting sun’s rays
This most wondrous icy wintry glaze
