Premium MemberAnam Cara

A beautiful Gaelic phrase exists that in itself sounds soul stirring. It encompasses everything you desire in a true friend - it reaches somewhere deeper than simply knowing a persons name or one or two details about them, for which the title "friend" is used. Friends and acquaintances come and go. Sadly most are not in for the long haul. When an Anam Cara comes into your life, you know you have someone special. You can feel it to your very core that this is a treasure - true and real. Anam Caras sincerely care about you and how you feel. A miraculous bond formed as two naturally gel together. Not to be confused with soul mate and romance... like such, Anam Caras are forever! ~~~ Blessed with one you'll know "Soul Friends" are a unique gift... Oh, Anam Cara!

Premium MemberThe Opal And The Amethyst

A pure white precious Opal
Met an Amethyst one day.
Amethyst loved the rainbow colours
That dazzled back her way.

A mesmerising iridescence
Met with purple calm.
Together they were beautiful,
Each with their own charm.

They trekked through many jewellery stores
But none of them would do.
They had bigger ambitions
Shared just between the two.

"We don't want to be cut down to size
For a pendant or a ring
Or become a decoration piece
Worn at a fancy gathering.

How about occasions rare and unique?
We'll bring awe to every town
When we are delicately placed, positioned
Well upon the royal crown!

We are not destined for greater things.
We are dreamers, that is all.
We call ourselves "The Midget Gems"
For the best things are small."

Premium MemberWrite me a song

Write me a song and use a beautiful word
Make it a song that no one has heard

Write me a song about love that you bring
and make a song everyone can sing

Write me a song about love but not pain
make it about sunshine and not the rain

Write me a song about the stars and the moon
make it a song with a catchy tune

Write me a song but don't make me cry
make it a song I can remember you by.

Premium MemberLove’s Broad Reach

“I think scars are like battle wounds-beautiful in a way. They show what you’ve been through and how strong you are for coming out of it.”
    Demi Lovato

Love has a broad reach
It’s truly magical and deep
With power to bring about peace
It boldens the shy and meek

A broad reach it can create
With warm touch procreate
And continue in a face
Blended like a copy a babe

A broad reach it is divine
Love gives sight to blind
It’s not selfish and it’s kind
True love stands test of time

Love each other and self as well
Create heaven on earth avoid hell

Premium MemberBlack Excalibur

Left, right, forward, back.
An endless cycle, lost in time.
Wondering what’s wrong,
asking what’s wrong.

When glass breaks, it doesn’t break even.
Shards of time, emotions, and hope are scattered.
They broke the glass,
this stagnant soul is left with the mess.

With a withering broom and dirty dust pan in hand,
all that was salvaged ended with mourning.
But when the pieces were collected out of the trench of rage,
a new foundation was created.

This light emerging from the abyss below,
beautiful as the death of a star.
Melting the glass, cursing all who dare damage true art.
Screeching with light that burns the sky.

A broken sword can be fixed,
there will be a new Excalibur.
A soul for a soul, a heart for a heart.
Lasting forever, in a land apart.

Premium MemberHappy Anniversary

I wanted to write you a
love poem. Then thought,
most love poems nauseatingly
lame. Recycled beautiful,
luscious, adorably cookie-cutter all
the same. Not singular, as Hollywood
Gable and Lombard! More like,
Hallmark~ just fill in the name.
With that in mind, I bought you
a rose, that will wither and die…
on the front seat of a new Alfa
Romeo, to continue park with me
or freely fly. Happy Anniversary.

Premium MemberSent from above

She lives far on a distant shore
That woman I will never meet
The one I love and adore
It makes my heart skip a beat.

Charismatic, Charming and class
Warm, caring, full of love
Beautiful features like fine crystal glass
A special person sent from heaven above

Premium MemberStrawberry Girl

Pretty
Is a concept
You'll never
Understand

If you think
I see you
Through endeavours
Of the hand

I love
You make the effort
Appreciate
Your style

I love you
Past the surface
Just deeper
All the while

You paint
Just like a rainbow
With hues and shades
And stuff

Yet beautiful
Has found you
Already
You're enough

Premium MemberCan't you see it

You're more than just important,
You're irreplaceable!
Your presence has woven the most beautiful web of protection,
Filled with self-doubt
And covered with a dull sheen of fear.
I see you,
I see the real you,
Not the one we all see at a glance
Nor the one that feeds the image from the mind.
I see the beautiful shades of color
Radiant hues of emotions that surpass
Even the most beautiful sunrise.
You are more than just important,
You are
Irreplaceable!

Premium MemberA Tribute to Lin Lane

Lucky me for having Lin in my life for nearly a decade
I've had her friendship, loyalty and unwavering support
Never has there been an inkling of cross words between us

Lin is an amazing poet and her paintings are beautiful
Always ready to offer her time and assistance to others
Nothing is too troublesome for her when someone is in need
Editor of both my books; for her patience, I'm ever grateful.
