Emotionless eyes that have the colour of wind, looking in mine...killing me from inside.
Why do I feel so tired all the time?
Seeing everything you do, being blind.
Fearing your unstable mind, destroying mine.
Whispering in my ear: 'Deny'.
The sadness oh the sadness...comes and goes flood tide.
Going insane, stuck in an endless cycle trying to get outside.
Going through my anguished brain, anger and hate taking over leaving sorrow behind.

A storm blew in when I peered into his dark eyes
Fearing lightning would strike in bolts of midnight fire
Wanting his touch, though it might lead to my demise
Then full lips swept over mine, igniting desire
Thunder roared in my head with each deepening kiss
I heard it drumming in warm breaths against my ear
Fingertips danced lightly over naked skin. This
symphony sings in my heart each time he draws near
Desperate urges and needs filled my torrid mind
I murmured in soft sighs against his stubbled cheek
whispers of hunger, I'd never before defined
He sated my desires when they reached fever peak
Storms are strong passionate tempests at this man's side
We ride on crashing waves higher than at flood tide

I heard the drub of rain pelting the roof
Unaware that a storm had been brewing
Roar of thunder, flash of lightning gave proof
that I had no idea, no inkling of what I was doing.
Spirit numbed and body drenched
I ventured into the maelstrom, unaware
or perhaps I didn't care. My eyes were clenched
preventing tears from falling. Loneliness is hard to bear
Sorrow bit at my heels where puddles formed
I swallowed a cry so no one would hear my sobbing
On I trudged while within me the maelstrom stormed
Confusion inside my head, heartbeat throbbing.
Charybdis' whirlpool swirled, trying to drag me in
Crested waves carried me toward its center
The tightrope I walked was a tenuous line
and lost forever I would be if I decided to enter.
On the edge of giving in, I swam for what seemed hours
The surge of flood tide would not claim me tonight
On sanity's shore I sat once more, allowing the showers
to sting my upturned face and have their moment of respite.

Raspberry, as glaringly large
Package with bulk, bulging.
Squirrel-eyed and squirrel-grasped.
Nuts, bells; enough weighing!
Thinks me, thinks he, if and once dropped:
"The spillage! Red flood-tide!
Every brown leaf to re-tint!
As yet branched high and wide!"

nature thrives on bestrewn oddness.
earth is tame in its fresh safeness.
the same for the rest of the world.
yellow, black, and white are all furled.
The geese there on guavas feed.
Cows may swallow the grass and weed
ripe cornflowers peep from the rows
Whelps and brats on each other's paws
From the loud roar of the flood tide
A swell choir of birds bourns each sighed.
High-pitched sparrows nod while they sing.
As crows with coal-eyes play pied string
calm and cool waters of the bay
clear and blue in the light of day.
but when darkness begins to fall.
it is the root sea's soothing call.

Without fuss the sand
castle greets the flood tide his
reality changed;
the trade of ebb for the flow
as he lets go of the beach

Love songs softly flow on a Summer's breeze,
Lyrics trilled by doves in sweet melodies.
My vagabond heart meanders no more
for you've given yours to me, mon amour.*
Your kisses assuage my hunger and thirst.
Deluged by emotions, my heart shall burst.
A treasure, no longer beyond my reach.
A prayer answered when I did beseech.
You are the brightest star in midnight's sky
Keeper of my heart when I've need to sigh.
In celestial dreams; ever at my side,
where love abounds in incessant flood tide.
Come with me, my love, across tranquil seas
Sails swept by the mild rush of Summer's breeze

SILHOUETTE (4/23) — PANACEA
Feelings unwrap
Emotional flood tide;
Emergent light
~~~~~
Be true
Feel calm cue
Hear soul speak
Touch that peak
Live now meek
Here I style
A profound smile
In calm worthwhile
For now I know
A deeper flow
Like the waters of a flood
I’m just not loved
you're beauty drowned
you are just giving me the run around
one more rain drop in a down pour
just another wave hitting the shore
flopsam to be cast aside
I'm floundering in the flood tide
I have been Left adrift and all at sea
And then the words you used just sank me
and then for you to just turn and walk away
Not my planned St Valentines day
Wrote a poem in the sand,
Wonder how it fares if left alone,
Will it bear on its own merits
Or juxtapose by meddling hands,
Meantime, sun-dries it again,
Wind shifts it broad and thin,
Indelible puddles left by rain,
Sand critters pop out and in,
A boy and his ball rolls along,
With a long sigh, looks on down,
Builds a sandcastle then leaves,
Ebbtide gone, flood tide flows cleanly,
I returned, stood and discern,
Comme ci, comme ca, c'est la vie.
14th line English translated from French, "Like this, like that, that is life."
When Death comes calling home,
There's nowhere we can hide,
He has such a vast dome,
Can't escape his flood tide,
Death, he blows us over,
He crushes us with grief,
His nasty hangover
Will give us no relief,
Death, he pulls us deeper
Into a tangled mess,
He's the bad Grim Reaper,
Who shrouds us in darkness,
Death, who can talk 'bout him,
And still not know the truth,
He strikes at his own whim,
Whether the old or youth,
Death, none can forbade him
From entering our door,
Death, none can evade him,
He's that future in store.
Proudly, she carried white carnations and delicate pink roses,
their sweet aroma emanated from her romantic bridal bouquet.
Entwined in the blooms were crystals that would sparkle in poses
of photographs soon to be taken on this, her wedding day.
They'd met when teens, and he was smitten upon first glance
by the twinkle in her eyes and the smile she sent his way.
He gave her white carnations at their first high school dance,
pink roses he presented when she starred in the Senior play.
The crystals were a necklace, worn by her mother, as a bride
It was a way of honoring her loving memory on this occasion
A gift that morning from her father, brought tears in a flood tide
He thought she'd want to carry them; she needed no persuasion
The aisle was lined with petals; pink roses and white carnations,
swept along as she walked, by the train of her alencon lace gown.
They stood, exchanging wedding bands and love's declarations.
On her head she wore carnations and roses, fashioned in a crown.
