Flirtations Poems

casual

Was it casual?
Our long night talks and endless flirtations.
Those talks about our futures-as if we had a clue
Things we knew that we had to do
Watching movies on a call, but wouldn't do it without you
Was it serious?
Was it serious to you?
We would talk about everything and nothing at all
My darling little boy
Cosplaying a man
Telling me to be honest about my feelings but it was just
a helpless match.
No one made me angry like you
The frustration of being the only one who seemed to give a
Turned out you had someone else on your mind.
Someone who I shared eyes and genes
I don't think you feel the same.
Tell me that I am wrong
Tell me that I am mistaken
Give me a reason to believe you
Give me a reason not to leave you.
Tell me that you listened to me
Tell me that you respected he who I held dear
Tell me that you wouldn't lie to me
Tell me that you wouldn’t leave me here
Tell me that I didn’t defend you for nothing
Tell me that my friends weren’t right
Tell me it wasn’t casual
Or I have to leave tonight.

SpearWife

The truth was
left lying...
Somewhere within the
duration of our comfortable
silence.

I can taste all of my
unshed tears,
as the gift of fluidity
in the language of love
and violence.

Solutions tear at me and
drag me under as
I pull away from the
foreign sense of inner purity,

and as I become lost in
contrast, and my
insights blind, I
become another of Gods
condemned and guilty.

Sentenced to a quasi-life
of perverse flirtations
with a dark, deceptive
mortal art;

who pricks me with the
sharpened end; a perpetual
threat, causing me to dance
with death as I simply
fall apart.

Firefly- a weird insect,
fantastic flirtations,
floating glow to enchant,
fervent garden visits,
festive entertainment,
fiery vivid spirit,
flickering like candle.

On that beautiful afternoon in autumn,
holding hands, we walked on the beach,
with our hearts beating in unison.

The strong chilly wind breeze,
made us huddle close to each other at ease.

The waves of surf ever creeping close to us,
brought the feeling of endless love between us.

The beauty of seamless blue sky over the horizon,
lifted our joyous spirits high over the endless ocean.

The pebbles and shell we gathered,
became the relics of romantic moments we shared.

The flirtations and little twirl dance we did on the sand,
brought our body and soul together hand in hand.

We thought we would never part from the beach,
but the fading red glow of setting sun,
reminded us that in life and nature,
all of us do part from things we love and cherish.

By belittling bygone barbarizations
Constantly criticizing correlations
Defined dumbfounded dictations

Premium MemberThe Man That I Am

In case you're wondering what's in my heart
It's LOVE my friends, pure and simple LOVE
Now that I've reached this advanced age
I look back and realize love is all I've ever wanted
Didn't ALWAYS feel that special thing I was looking for
But who ever does... it's a figment of the mind
Everyone's definition of love is unique and personal
But the basic underlying theme is the same
Most times it doesn't need to be said
It's a feeling of happiness and indescribable joy
Like no other we have ever experienced
I have loved more than once, most of us do
In my years on this wonderful planet
Some I would call flirtations, some ran much deeper
Some were within my reach... some were unattainable
I would not trade any of those experiences
For a pot of gold... they were worth much much more
Now that I look back and reminisce
I am thankful for all my happy experiences through life
Because they have made me the man that I am!

Premium MemberTo Travel the World

O, to travel the world when young
Tales of adventure to be sung
Cups raised with high expectations
  of romance and steamy flirtations

Travel to Africa while you can
  to Indonesia and then Vietnam
Cross oceans by ship and by plane
  Narrow mountain passes by train...

There's a time to settle down
But that time is not now
You owe yourself your fair share
  of 'Awesomes' and 'Wows'

Barmaid

She threads through a crush of guffawing shoulders
swoops on empties.
We sense the alluring fiction of a nylon friction,
a diction of sexual parlance dipped in moist labor.
We breathe in the unsanitary flirtations of passing thighs,
ponder the lips-speak of cherry red suggestiveness.
Winks and smiles - eyes watch her sashay away
carrying a silver tray
with the crumpled green tokens of a trivial love.

Rumblestone

Rumbling earth offers it's own baseline
Bones of the underworld crackle thunderously
Concussive forces driving Gaia's ecstasy.
The man watches as her eyes crackle menacingly
Mortal flirtations lusting for battle
Stone and Crystal, immense and fragile.
Booming, resonating, radiating, alive,
Conjured rumblings otherworldly
Each threaten alternately
To burst his chest
Or to implode it.
With each pulse, each soul-searing challenge of her gaze,
Every aching breath
Yet he remains, agonizingly still
And there is nought but to wait for her to move first.
It is a reaper's die cast in darkness
Uncalculated gamble of unwitting fortune
So he must wait.
Her almar might yet give a wary soul rest
Hiraeth, and hope.
Or unmercifully rend him hapless.
So lingers his being, languishing in exquisite agony
Hoping desperately, and rumbling as eldritch runes 'neath horrors unknown.

Premium MemberLost and Found

Lingering longingly, lost love laments
Obstreperous outrage, overintense
Sorrowful solitude, sad, sluggish since
Tumultuous tantrums, terrible, tense

Amorous affections ambivalent
Nerve numbness nearing, now needs nourishment
Dissatisfied, disengaged, discontent

Flaunting flirtations, furtive fleet flashes
Overt optimist, outsized, outlandish
Unlimited upside, unwound, unselfish
Normalcy now, no neuroses nightmarish
Dazedly dreams, delights, daringly dashes

Walking On the Beach

WALKING ON THE BEACH
My beach has many mystic moods –
Flirtations, sometimes fickle, mistress mine.
I love her when she’s smooth, like mellow wine,
And bids me stroll on sands of gold:
Soft, silky waters lapping at my feet,
Where lacy froth and lazy sea sand meet.
Slow swells roll out to silver seas;
Seduce my eye with vistas beautiful,
Beckon me in with thoughts unthinkable.
Sometimes she seems upset and I,
Uncertain of her changing frowns and smiles,
Will tread her sands, in fear, for many miles.
Harsh winds and angry roars abound
And jagged, ugly, great green waves
Segue to deep, dark, dreamy depths.
Temptation whispers – go and seek her balm
And sink all cares into her open arms.
What shall it be, oh mistress mine?

Premium MemberIf Only You Knew

Each day the glorious glow of sunrise
warmed the wonderful wanderings of my waiting
by the shore of my youth
as I watched you cross the sand from your summer cottage
to the edge of the tides high line
which was wet and cool to the feet
you were the dream which walked by
though many years older
your head turned each time with a smile
my voice was held silent from your beauty
my heart was a trembling pulse of wishes
as I became a stumbling shadow of serene illusions
that I hid in the resolved reason of my mind's renderings
to be visited in the restless nights
of welcomed thoughts with wondrous fantasy
never to have known you
each summer I visit your grave with flowers
and have memories of fictitious flirtations
as I think to myself...If only you knew

Premium MemberFlirtation Flies a Love Story

Love enters through my eyes,a smile so shy
A frisson ,toe to toe, each touch tingles
As mystery and arousal mingles
And looks attracted, a lingering sigh.

Close together into emotions dance
Our passion pulsates,as flirtations fly
Ardour's palpatations can never die
As love engages ,on first acquaintance.

The friendship flowers,boundaries unbared
Fervour pinnacles to undreamed of heights
Love explored upon silken Summer nights
Commitment binds a future to be shared

Togetherness kindles fidelity
Igniting love into eternity

Summers Heat

Paroxysmal passions of preying eyes,
Whispering waves upon warming ocean…
Harmonies hankering hearts hypnotize,
Melodic mists of driving devotion.

Yelling and yearning youthful ambitions,
Sizzling summers endure exotic heat…
Posturing pleasures amidst positions,
Capitalizing confidence complete.

Adoration and affection flaming,
Tendering tears of cascading desire…
Lavender lips erotic exclaiming,
Sensuous seductions sacred of hire.

Summer heating upon flux flirtations,
Settling storms within sexual stations.

She flirted with me,
 this lady so fair
 She left with a smile,
 Seductive her stare

 I saw her one day
 So golden her hair
 I walked towards her -
 Her husband was there
