To Travel the World

O, to travel the world when young
Tales of adventure to be sung
Cups raised with high expectations
  of romance and steamy flirtations

Travel to Africa while you can
  to Indonesia and then Vietnam
Cross oceans by ship and by plane
  Narrow mountain passes by train...

There's a time to settle down
But that time is not now
You owe yourself your fair share
  of 'Awesomes' and 'Wows'

Oh, I heartily agree, gw. I've even started planning a trip to Viet Nam, probably in December or January at my advanced age. Nothing beats travel for broadening the mind and increasing our understanding of different peoples and cultures.

Vietnam. Great people, I say. Taught a gaggle of them back in the day. International students. Sharp bunch!

Better 'no responsibilities' than no response, as in pulse...

To be a globe trotter is indeed exciting and adventurous especially in young days ! These travels will give plenty of chances for romance and flirtation! Really enjoyed .

Thanks for taking me on that journey. Took the Amtrak from NY to Sacremento and it was the most scenic and touching ride and vacation I ever had. Those three days I will always cherish, on that Train. America is beautiful and to see it by train is amazing Gershon.

We flew to San Diego because we both wanted to see the pandas. Deb had just been diagnosed with a tumor on a kidney, and, although we had a splendid time, that was on our mind and we knew she would face surgery as soon as we got home. It was cancer, of course, and the story is downhill from there. It's a bit difficult to write of those last joyous days, Michael, but I'll give it some thought.

Wow Milton you should write a story about that special train ride you took with your beloved, Deb. I am sure the scenery was splendid and you and her share special moments on that train ride. Please write a narrative on that trip. All of us would love to be part of that Special train ride you shared with Deb. I am sure it would be a heartfelt write from you. Please do that for all of us. Thank you for hearing my request Milton.

Excuse me for interrupting, Michael. Deb and I took Amtrak from San Diego to Seattle, then across to Winona, Minn before flying home. It was our last trip together. A great time, and I highly recommend train travel.
