Cathedral Mosque

their masquerade
the same
Preaching what
they don’t believe
the Good Lord
to profane
Christians Jews
and Muslims share
their hate for
other faiths
Self-righteous ire
scriptures burn
as blood flows
through the gate
Colleges and
social networks
homes where they
blaspheme
Younger hearts
and narrow minds
starving
to believe
The clock ticks down
as options die
in zero sum
degrees
The vilest thing
to haunt the earth
breeds death
— with each decree

__
my notions float with sinuous breaths
tumbling upon creased pillows
while early dawn traces the nearing
crossroad between flawless noon
and inked twilight... yes, soon,
he will arrive granting me this balm
of solace, that which barren cycles
have untangled spousal harmony through
fractures and blood of a battlefield...
but destiny is not perfect, not when
letters take shape of a raven's beak
screeching this morning about fatality:
how incisive is the thorn of disclosure,
aching from a thwarted pact as
mornings of life will now stop rotating,
wheeling, unfolding in a pace where
I honor his dignity...without twilights,
without me.

Fatality To Equality
We were supposed to believe in equality,
And we do want to find another fatality;
Study am trying,
But none buying;
Which class should we take in psychology.

We feast on Camembert and red wine
observing the pageantry of incandescent stars
reflected through halo’s fervid laughter and love.
I drink merrily as thud of whipped delirium
hammers excruciating pain off on, from my brain;
Veiling the limited instances of life’s ungodly time
That I cradle within--- this mute, unsaid goodbye.

Love’s Fatality
Love is a fickle partner
One moment it is deep like the color of a red rose
The next it is melancholy like a faded yellow lily
For the slightest interpretation of the mind
Can render it to be trivial almost useless
Inevitably time will find fissures in the walls of life
These become cracks that cannot be mended
Good intentions are mere bandages to a wound
That will not close
Slowly but surely like the wilting of a flower
The inevitable occurs
Best to remove any ill will afore it spreads
Like a cancer run amok
To call a spade a spade
Before the pain becomes too great
Love lost is better than none found
This is the plague that follows us all

Humanity sometimes presents inanity
when mentality lacks solid morality.
Profanity awakens stark brutality...
replaces vitality with insanity.
Urbanity is lost in our reality
when our mundanity becomes formality
and dark volcanity leads to fatality.

Another Combat Fatality
I just had enlisted in the Army one day.
Oath of allegiance to country did say.
For four years would be in the infantry
And combat duty would eventually see.
Over hill and dale went to basic training.
Out of me all of my energy was draining.
Had pushed myself as far as I could go.
Was always in middle not fast or slow.
But regardless I finally finished at last
And all of my tests successfully passed.
At some questions, I did have to guess
And in end had been awarded an MOS.
I proudly would wear an Army uniform
And our unit ended up in Desert Storm
While fighting there in a combat unit.
We were all brave and had true grit.
While on duty drove by a desert palm;
Nearby was buried a roadside bomb
Which did kill both my buddy and me;
We had become a Combat Fatality.

Before birth
I was the universe
All knowing, all embracing
Molecules of beauty in floating meditations
I was everywhere
Then............
The darkness.........
The womb.......
I begot limbs and flesh
Imprisoned inside this human frailty
I was freed, exposed, pushed, fallen into humanity
Lights, voices, sins, I screamed
They cut off my only bond to the universe
Here, a baby an orphan of the heavens
Imprisoned upon the imperfections of human realms
Hell.................
The holy book of sins...........
The great sadness.........
I miss the cosmic beauty
Stuck here, the devils collection of earthly kin
Days... weeks.....decades…. despair......
I plotted and planned
The great escape
From this finite boxed in land
I begged the infinite, and danced with infinity
The universe waltzed
I twirled with insightful delight
Soon, to be rejoined with eternal light
To be free, to roam the stars
My death, now rejoined with the heavens and all of thee
You visit, candles and crocus upon Parisian stone
I am neither there or even here any more
I have become what I once was, healed and whole
All knowing, all embracing
I am God, the universe once more

In coalesce, do I live no more
My mind is no longer mine to claim
As its owner, you are now
Denying me of every thought
Other than, that of you
To regain control, is not mine to choose
Refute it, I had often
Though my acknowledgement was visible, always
For the truth, can hurt much
But a shadow, can ease the pain
Until a light, is shone bright
And its hide, is brought to an end
At your behest, is my sorrow not
My emotions, are beckoned by my own
For deserving, do I believe myself to be
A coward, do I see myself only
As much you did, when my depart you learnt
Though your eyes I can look no more, through my returns disdain
Redeem, I wish I could
The respect, I earned from you
Though what is lost, can be returned
Through no poem
As words are easy to ink
But spoken are they only, in my imprisoning thoughts of you
To falter your being, I attempted to persuade
But dissuaded my mind maintains
Your qualities, it absorbs by day
Asking for any and all requests, you may bequest
Considering not, the suffering it shall cause
As a just fatality, I become

Apart we stand and together we crumble.
She's hiding in the bathroom letting her world unravel.
Did three bumps wiped her nose; began to stumble.
Living her life between the sudden slams of the gavel.
She makes herself believe fatalities can't happen,
While she's gripping the toilet seat gasping.
For water to hydrate the rolls; she's ashen.
Unable to justify the messed up way she's been acting.
Her friends turn their backs on her addictions.
She's running all day to pick up a new bag.
Calling someone else to buy their latest prescription.
Wasting her money left and right on some bulls**t swag.
To the point where she disgusts herself living in the past.
Where did that little girl go from four years back.
Rocking back and forth on the tile her eyes are glass.
Fighting off the oncoming asthma attacks.
As her pupils begin to dilate she wishes for the best.
The darkness closes in as tears fill her cup.
The shakes take over now it's time to lay to rest.
Her last words will always be 'It was never enough.'
