10 minute break

Breathe in, breathe out
It fills my lungs
Expelling doubt

I gaze up at the sky
With dull and fading eyes
Inhale, exhale
Let out smoke, not cries

The calmness overtakes me
Nothing ever shakes me
Inhale, exhale
Nothing now will break me

A sigh escapes my lips
For past relationships
Inhale. Exhale
Come on man, get a grip.

The sweet and loving sting
And the calm that it will bring
Inhale, exhale im just one human being

Fix the things you can control
And what you cants a goal
Inhale, exhale
One day I’ll feel whole

I stub the smoldering butt
Even if I’m in a rut
Inhale, exhale
Calm my twisted guts

The ashes are much like the past
Smoked down to the fiberglass
Inhale, exhale
Breaks over, time to go back

A Moment of Motion

Shift in place,
Move still while keeping silent.
Deafening screams locked behind teeth
Some profound rage kept from an
Ineffable target.

Held In place,
By un-moving days.
Simmering at the surface.
Hidden by the stoic face.
Waiting for the instance,
When the world will cease the snail's pace.

Primed for even a sliver of movement.
So it may strike a hand into the stream.
As time rushes by, finding its mark.
An object to direct that malice towards.

Expelling the poison that has accumulated.
Worsening with every breakfast and dinner.
Despite the mania it brings,
And injuries I inflict.

It is cathartic.
A moment of motion
Is better than a life of stillness.

Premium Member The Creativity of Expectation

Absence craves answers
in a hollow solitude
pulling us nearer
driven by the aching void
which cannot stay left unfilled

Expectation swells
in the pause between two breaths
drawing strings tighter
to capture what thought had missed
in expelling the longing

Silence sends alarm
as loud as a siren's cry
something is coming
it presses the heart to hear
what listening ears have missed

The longer the wait
the more the ears turn inward
to fantasies spun
to fill the gaping silence
that refuses to be still

Silence grows restless
to unlock forgotten doors
that expectation
swore were already waiting
in the wings for their prompt cue

Night Nurse

Her eyes are laden with drunken sleep,
Silhouetted by lank, tired hair flimsier
Than the spine of an elderly, broken night.
Tattered, it buries the horrors of night;
Braided, it creases the rows of black corn,
Sweeping swiftly south and downwards;
Ponytail ties the umbilical linking life
And skyline light.
Lissome, she traipses with no lamp,
Even when darkness confidently pitches its nightingale’s romance
To district judges seated on the kerb of the apothecary’s creed . . .
With her the night loses its potency,
Its sacredness,
Expelling flies that die out on their own willpower,
Like winged dinosaurs,
Through the age of decomposing summer.
It's all been analysed before?
The oneiric spell cast upon slow, difficult nights
When the breath smells like the anus of hell.
By the way, I drivel.
Not saliva.
Oh, no!
I drivel on about hissing nights that ought to be lonesome,
Stretched out, dark, and without rays borrowed
Earlier from a twerking twilight.
Restless nights, worn like silky cloaks, diaphanous,
Seeing through the naked veins of her sweet eyes.

Premium Member abruptly shaken from my dream

Sleep shook my shoulder
I ignored her as long as I could
Inside my dream I was fascinating
People wanted my opinion
I was revered and esteemed
Not royalty, but treated like one

Sleep threw me into the mattress
I woke up gasping, struggling to understand
It felt like a meteorite had hit my chest
My breath was expelling at a rapid rate
My dream was dissipating

Sleep was satisfied
Harsh sound of the alarm clock
No one wanted my opinion this morning
I am invisible here
An old dried-up woman
No one hears or sees

Delanie

When anger clouds your eyes,
And your heart fills with rage,
Unable to hold back
The hurt inside;

When you lose control
Of your inner storm,
Expelling evil
On those around you;

When I feel your blows
Against my body,
Fierce and desperate,
Like a trapped animal,

I know you don’t want
To be this way–
I know you don’t want
To hurt anyone

But I also know
That I would rather take
One thousand blows
Than see you hurt

And I would take
One thousand more
To keep you safe
From him.

Premium Member Before Poetry

Whatever did I do to wile away my time
Before poetry took over my brain
Walked around staring blankly into space
Burping and expelling methane

Really no direction I was truly a lost soul
The word 'zombie' enters my mind
But now I'm alive and cooking with gas
Rhyming away line after line

Friends all say, “knock that stuff off!”
Love to but my brain is obsessed
Even rhyme when I'm ordering a pizza
This affliction has made me quite stressed

I lovingly remember those carefree days
Before poetry took over my life
I went to the park and did normal things
Threatening little kids with a knife

If you didn't think that line was appropriate
Couldn't find another to rhyme
So don't go writing me nasty letters
I'm really not the violent kind

To end this silliness on an upbeat note
I've ended up here with this group
Met a nice bunch of really friendly people
Sure happy I'm now in the loop

Premium Member The Cold Embrace of Death

I love the cold as I lay beneath my
feather doodah, or chill-out
in my warm down-filled wind cheater.

I love to run through fields of ice and snow
with steam expelling from my mouth
with every each puff and breath.

I love to sip the steamy warm soup
with the cup warming my frigid lips.

For everyday I stave off
the cold embrace of death,
threatening to engulf me.

If I stop trying
and my energy fails,
my warmth will succumb
To the call of the cold,
forever wanting me to relent
and give up.

For to stay alive,
I must burn the food I eat and digest,
bask in the sunshine, sit by the fire,
to keep warm against the chill,
forever sucking heat from me.

The shrill chill encompasses me
with the cold embrace of death.

Premium Member The Grim Reaper

My skin has become like sandpaper
Blotches showing up everywhere
A pimple resides at the end of my nose
Some areas have unwanted hair

What 's happening to this body of mine
Seems it's just about falling apart
Ankles are swollen to twice their size
Been expelling a whole lot of farts

It's referred to as the ageing process
Is this what's in store from now on
No more of this sleeping to noon
Always up at the crack of dawn

Needing to pee three times a night
My back teeth are floating around
Cramps in my legs are driving me nuts
And my PJs keep falling down

A hell of a mess this ageing process
Not a damn thing a person can do
Hang in there my friends, it won't be long
The grim reaper will be calling you soon!

Premium Member In a sea of roses, the ashes of your ghost still wander

In a sea of roses, the ashes of your ghost still wander,
breathing you in deeply, I try to pierce through the veils of time,
but to no avail, only a bitter emptiness fills my weary soul.
Fate tempts me, taunts me with the echo of your voice,
in the dead of night, when sleep refuses to be my companion,
the passing time infects my broken mind,
hallucinations envelop me in the sheets that once were ours.
Breathing in your scent, expelling the demons that surround me,
without you, the devil whispers words of temptation in my ears,
fire flows through my transformed veins, a living blaze,
Lilith's fury poisons any trace of humanity left.
Levitating above the bed, rebirth approaches with silent steps,
cutting into the chest, the heart becomes heartless in its beating,
electricity pulses beneath the flesh trembling in the moonlight,
destruction is now at the tips of my thirsty fingers.
Pain begets hate, and now watch as the world burns,
while I become my own martyr, a flame consuming itself.

Premium Member Sneezy wheezy

As my nose twitched,
before the coming sneeze,
time froze, anticipation heightened,
awaiting its inevitable release.

I surfed the bardo,
my thoughtless attention animated,
wherein fulcrum of tremors,
could not be located.

The tumbler did fall,
when I least expected;
I covered my face,
that others be protected.

As for the act,
expelling saliva and air,
it’s a learnt art,
I perform with flair.

Emo Night

In the depths of my soul,
Expelling through the cold,
I crave tonight an emo love.

To stare into the abyss in your eyes,
To torture you till you cry,
To feast on your dripping blood.

With one eye I see all,
Crack, whoop, slash, gush,
Oh let the red rain paint the floor.

The dark ceremony concludes,
The luminous embrace prevails,
Like the moon it was just a phase.

Premium Member I am Still Expelling Gas

you blame me
and I die laughing
with my legs in the air
kicking my feet
expelling gas
because it is you

You are selfish
and stingy
never worrying about anyone but yourself
and you say it is me
I made you
I forced you
I am the reason you…..

You are beyond hope
beyond help.
It has never been me
as it was never us.
It is you
as it always was
even when you said we were together

we were never a thing
you are too into yourself to ever be a we
I pity the fool who comes around next.
I am still expelling gas
you have that effect on me.

Premium Member so SOUL TENDERLY WE'RE EMBRACE OURSELF-

soul tenderly I embrace her
our hearts beats within our collective paired
times two 24 ribs
salty sweet are those the tears our eyes jointly share
physically for better or worse
Spiritually under God blessed birth
greasy jointly strands of our trich
must be love or lust our two lips touch, we kiss

So soul tenderly we're embrace ourself-

in the spirit realm mere not mortals
we stand and stare our spirit melt
physically for better or worse
Spiritually under God blessed birth
welding together
covenant expelling joyous bursts
of intangible actions of love hosts

So soul tenderly we're embrace ourself-

our hearts beats within our collective paired souls heart
spirit eyes so stare as we share
soul tender soul mate you and I
covenant cry
physically for better or worse
Spiritually under God blessed birth
covenant cry

So soul tenderly we're embrace ourself-
