Premium Member Two Plus Two Equals Five

This tactic, 2+2=5, is a direct reference to George Orwell's novel "Nineteen Eighty-Four", where the party in the novel tries to force Winston to accept that 2 + 2 = 5.

Meanwhile let us just forget
about Joseph Biden's Presidency
beginning with the Russian
invasion of Ukraine
and the debacle of withdrawal
from Afghanistan (did those people
really fall trying to hang
on to departing passenger planes?),
and ending with the autopen,
and "obviously absolutely unequivocally"
no sign of cognitive decline!

Believe the propaganda,
it's easy if you try,
no lies below you;
above you only (blinding) light.

Is Donald Trump a clown,
or is he just not down with the Democrat minions'
Socialist (Marxist Communist) revolution?

No Blimp Equals Pickle In Pub

Golly, what a Pickle you’re In -- Bub,
How is it That you’re stuck in a Pub?
Gullible -- You look, Pimp
for why not hop, on Blimps?
and Fly in its Massive Ruba-dub.

Equals

In the woods with naught around,
I spot a dog, a grand old hound.
He spots me back and starts the hunt
Dare I approach him from the front?
I see the teeth and jowls loose,
There I am the waiting goose.

Yards are closing one by one,
Underneath the noonday sun.
Approaching quickly with lightning speed,
I stand my ground with frightening need.

He howls at my steadfast stance.
A knight here jousting, without a lance.
I howl right back and start my charge,
Arms are flailing, feigning large.
The pup takes note and slows its stride.

Perhaps a fear instilled inside?
Can this beast be scared of me?
Unknown is my fear of he?
We both, now walking, see it plain.
Man and dog will both remain.

Premium Member Loss sometimes Equals Gain

“I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
                                                                                       Michael Jordan

Every time I have lamented over something lost,
I have managed to do without it at little cost.
Getting over a loss is success, I don’t envisage much strife.
But what doesn’t apply - in the box could not be a human life.

One Plus One Equals One

It was something like a spark
That set there souls on fire
With each other they new there could be heat
Not to mention an animalistic desire

They were cut from different cloth
Grew up on opposite sides of the street
Time and pain passed through there lives
All ready tied to someone is how they first met

Not ten sentences in the beginning
He was having trouble trying not to stare
Withouts batting an eye she paid him no mind
Barely acknowledging he was there

Clocks and calendars kept moving
As did they
Both on the other side of their struggles
To His chance what was he to say

They text back and forth
He flirted she while sat and sighed
Then nothing
So more time went by

Then they started talking
About life's beginning, middle and end
Neither looking for love
Still they both could use a friend

Then there was butterflies
They forgot these feelings even exist
So they both threw caution in the wind
Embracing each and some of the things they missed

Both so torn apart
Maybe they could mend together
In a storm of emotions, they were lightening
Simply lace still needing leather

Sunflower is the petal symbol,
Big round face follows the sun,
Signifies Honesty as a yellow cymbal,
Light in Truth sets free one,
Sheds light on fidelity, living loyal,
As 18 is coming of age, Love matures Hon!
18, the Chinese hold to be “prosperal”,
Past attempts weighed only a gram,
Will now weigh a ton, flourish neural!
Garnet does as 18’s stone,
Balanced intimacy levelly sensual,
Beyond a crush has attraction grown,
Giving, doing became mutual, sharing natural,
In the words of Judy Garland:
“Not in my ears, but in my heart, you whisper”,
“Not my lips, but my soul, you kissed!”
Sunflowers are drought resistant,
Reigns reciprocal kindness are dropping Rains!

Premium Member Being Nice Today Equals a Happy Tomorrow - Inspired By Ms Greenway

What happens tomorrow depends on what you do today.
So, be kind to the plants and animals, and let them play.
If you hurt the world today, you'll see the affect tomorrow.
If you don't take care of it, you will only cause sorrow.

It's the same thing with how you treat your family and friends.
If you're mean to them, the colors of their happiness may turn gray.
So, if you want them to be happy tomorrow, again,
Always be nice to everyone around you, today.

In life it seems I'm ill prepared
to have my mass and photons squared.
I've really tried to do my best
and now my fat backside's at rest.

Premium Member Two By Two Equals Four

Oscar Levant, American Author, Comedian, Music Composer and more,
Was born in the early 20th Century and died in the 1970’s
Each decade, or era has their comedians – below is one of Mr Levant’s quotes,

TWO BY TWO EQUALS FOUR

A young couple Clorrita and Dwaine,
Decided to spend a holiday in Spain,
Both vegans, enjoyed a good radish,
But either neither nor, spoke Spanish.

They carried masks, heard of an Epidemic,
The Spanish Flu could become Pandemic,
They lived in Europe on inland terrain,
So decided they would travel by train.

They asked for a sleeper for four,
The ticket officer asked, “Why Senor”,
“Well, there is me and I, and she,
And my wife, so four we are you see”.

They had never thought or planned,
People could not understand,
When they went out to dine,
“A table for four please, will be fine”.

Eventually returned home, all so relieved,
Even Clorrita and Dwaine heaved,
A sigh, people don’t do simple maths anymore,
Schizophrenics are two by two equals four!

“ROSES ARE RED VIOLETS ARE BLUE, I’M SCHIZOPHRENIC AND SO AM I”
Fortunately, medicine has advanced incredibly since the 1970’s.

Numbers

and all your worth is vain
and your eyes dive into the wrong ocean
when you believe you are drowning in the truth
in the man's house every corner is another world
and all are called partiality
all stem from insanity
manuals are wrong and you
when seek complicity
see that our destiny is called loneliness
because we are all distance
bumping into lost and desperate
in the empire of darkness
only the numbers survive sovereigns
predictable and sequential
indifferent to our quest
by the chimera of a world of equals

Mev Jen Plus One Equals Enough

To quote me

Poor Old
Poor Old
Poor Old me

Why me
Why me
Why always me

Until 1 day came along
Mev Jen
Lady P
She started reading writing
And commenting to me

And now
Poor Old
Why always me

Is foreign to me

Because she opened up my heart

And made me want to be

Everything she sees in me

I wish 1 day I may become and I am going
to try my level best

To justify the faith she placed in me

Because she deserves it so

Bake Dankie Mev Jennifer

New Math X a Equals Aging
David J Walker

You are only 21 once
You are only 22 twice
You are only 23 three times
And 24 by 4
Before you realize you are thirty
And next week 40
Taking the fast track to the rest
Of your life gets you to 60
Overnight
And at 65
If you are still alive
you wonder
Whatever happened to 18
When I was sure of everything

“It is important we strive
each day to perform
acts of love and kindness
to one another because
like our natural cousins:
air, water, fire, and earth,
the human soul is malleable
and will take the shape
of the forces which act upon it.”

Consensus…
the sum of like judgment

Judgment,
the tool of conjecture

Conjecture,
opined observation

Happening quite often
—with eyes closed
