She sits there in seclusion
Recalling her glory days
Before internet and SATNAV
So changed the Mariners ways.
Sat on her eponymous rock
All the year long
She’d lure poor sailors with
A tempting siren song.
In the colder weather she wore
A diaphanous thermal vest
To avoid catching a cold whilst
Flashing her curvy chest.
Her only one motivation
A deeply fervent wish
To take revenge on mankind
For teaming chips with fish.
The Rhine’s a safer place now
Radar saving them from shock
Of seeing a sultry mermaid
Perched half naked on her rock.
To be honest these days
She seldom combs her hair
And grabs any possible excuse
To spend less time sitting there.
Yes the Rhine’s a safer place now
Since navigation went electronic
And the siren named the Lorelei
Has taken to gin and tonic.
Take a bunch of fine musicians
All ready to play and entertain
With a gig miles away
And you have folk train.
Add a bunch of supporters
A pint or two of ale
And you have all the makings
Of a very memorable tale.
Between trains in Manchester
In a pub both basic and rough
When Mc Garry issued his words
Terry do some left wing stuff
So I performed my poem,
About politicians that we’d got
Paying scathing attention to
Our then current miserable lot
They crowded into the small bar
And the room was suddenly full
As they gave a standing ovation
To a performance poet from Hull
Then he called on my wife
Who easily passed his test
Performing her eponymous poem
Before a poster of Georgie Best
The Folk Train Hull to Hathersage
A memorable and amazing day
When we filled trains with music
Every single inch or the way
R.I.P. Mick Mc Garry, Folk Train Leader and amazing singer.
The offspring of a demonic creature and a mage
Attempting to stop doomsday predictions, judge:
In a dissent to paradise, the proper arm of doom
Such a young child is guided by his pastry loom.
Brought into the world from the hellish recess.
which he will twice reconsider and reassess!
a position of respect and honor in society.
He is emphatically worthy of godliness and piety!
Demons, skeletons, specters, and eidolons
Both holy and profane matters must be dealt on.
He is currently in office and is an honorable man.
shielded by the colossal force of his clan!
Both his wrap and cord might serve as storage.
to counteract his penchant for the dark judge.
not to recognize that they were unsuccessful.
He might instantly intend for the neck, dreadful!
Rasputin, Ogdru-Jahad, as well as Baba Yaga
It's a few of the evils he may face in this saga.
Alias of the fanciful hero Hellboy is Anung Rama,
who appeared across several eponymous enigmas.

There’s a Nobel Prize for Peace
There’s probably one for war
I’d like to plead the case
For adding just one more
They say he was just a hungry toff
Feeling the need of a quick snack
Between some few games of cards
Thus allowing him quickly back
To those gentlemanly pursuits
Worthy of a man of his station
But to all us modern rushed folk
He’s the benefactor of the nation.
Johnson perfected dictionaries
Wellington his really useful boots
Worthy causes there no doubt
Scarce worth the merest of hoots
Compared to Earl of Sandwich
With his eponymous fast food
Easily and quickly adapted
To every nuance and mood
So lift your glasses please
Ply toasts upon the head
Of the man who first invented
Fun with two slices of bread
All hail to thee, John Montagu
The world doth owe great debt to you
"The planted snakes are venomous!"
Warned q caller anonymous
"Anaconda size enormous!"
Their state with Death synonymous
Thus, price to pay not enormous...
And decision unanimous:
All pleas for ' Mercy Blasphemous',
None to try The Eponymous
Named he had Twelve Thousand Dollars,
Necks causing to wet starched collars
Planted snakes for easy money:
When cops soon breezed in, not funny

Men like 'The Hunk' who are monogamous
Often want to remain anonymous
Partners today have a blast
Marriage is not made to last
Yet Hunk's chosen to be eponymous
this anonymous weaver spins his written tapestry
to acknowledge your ninetieth year
no matter this author unknown who deftly weaves
(for pete sakes) with english poetry
which rhyming threads fire away
(from axons to neurons)
at warp speed way out there
attempting to coalesce into some semblance
of comprehension from non other than me
a veritable stranger,
who considers your a folk icon
that hoop fully destiny will spare
until one grain of sand takes thee
to eternal blue skies astride
astral throne like king henry
with minstrelsy folks housed in a place
like my father’s mansion poised far and near
intent to discern the adroit banjo finger picking
plucky talent admission for all – free
whose eponymous trademark
je nais sais quois legendary voice
rings like a bell in the air.
he heard the golden trumpets calling
sounds coming from an empty mansard
as heat rises over his copper head
over his eponymous cosmos
the maker of secular arts
shall fall before he could rise for the first time
only because there's a leak sur le jardin
the maker shall fall deep down
bound to his cloaked heart of starkness
There once was an eponym maligned
Whose gender was quietly confined
Now away with your fears!
Turn those tears to cheers!
As nature intends your defined!

A foreigner in my own life
A passport not yet stamped
The language that is spoken
One I don’t understand
I slipped across the border
An undetected alien
No guide that can help
Here in this strange land
Maybe I needed a visa
I should have thought this through
I thought it would be easier
Didn't know I'd face a coups
Situations that plague me
No maps or GPS
No clues to the future
Or immunity from stress
I need an eponymous agreement
A neutral intervention
To get me back to reality
To block this blind perception
A trifarious situation
Pointing every way but out
A situation that’s hopeless
Of this I have no doubts
