BE THE LIGHT

Be the wind in someone’s sail,
Be the calm in someone’s gale,
Be the spark today,
In someone’s dark day.
Be the joy that’s found,
Turning another’s day around.
Be the hope in someone’s gloom -
The sunshine -helping flowers bloom.
Be the light in someone’s night,
And their breastplate in a fight,
And your kindness, always share
In what you do and how you care.
Be the reason to make them smile,
Even if it is for a little while.
In a world that is so tough,
With a whole lot of toxic stuff -
Be the balm - soothing the strife
In someone’s stress filled life!

A fake smile

Be positive even when you don't feel like it

Negativity is the absolute worst thing that can enter your life

It's as simple as smiling

Just smile and you'll feel instantly better

Don't let negativity bring you down

Be happy, think positive thoughts

Be how you usually are, encourage yourself as well as others

Keep going, keep playing, keep fighting

No matter how mad, no matter how tired, no matter how broken down

Just smile

Because there's no positive in being negative

Attitudes,
You too.

Premium Member I Try to Encourage New Poets

I love discovering new poets so I click the new user link a lot
There are so many feelings on a page, lest that I’ve forgot
I feel excitement as I read the new one’s first line or two
Trying to find something positive, wanting to encourage too

If the poem is about sex or cutting, I stop reading it right away
They will find the readers, but I will not be one of them, okay?
If it is about suicide, I will skip that one also, believe me.
These kinds of subjects take away my happy energy.

If the poet is a beginner their rhymes may sound like a forced jot
I overlook this, knowing they’ll get better, experience does a lot.
I write something upbeat and exciting, to encourage poets who are new.
For when I began writing poetry, this was done for me by many of you.

Artists in verse

Poets,
Scribbling soulmates, yet
Artists.

Stepping Forward

Step forward now in a brand-new way,
Encourage yourself as David did say.
The balancing acts, the burdens we bear,
With weights in our hands, will soon vanish in air.

As we worship Him, He steadies our path,
Guiding us gently, withholding His wrath.
Jehovah Jeriah, Rapha, Nissi -
In His Grace and Blood, we walk freely.

We are pressing through, we are coming strong,
We are overcomers, that’s where we belong.
With divine wisdom, re-arrange the ruins,
Transforming lives and cities, breaking chains.

Build a new, for miracles draw near,
On our path, manifestations, will soon appear.
Listen closely to your heartbeat’s sound,
Let your uniqueness be truly unbound.

We are stepping forward, no longer delayed,
In purpose and power, divinely arrayed.

in our Savior, whose Love will not deceive

WHEN

When all seems lost and all stars gone
Imagine lights and you won't be alone

When sadness quakes and voices mock
Imagine the skies among with whom you'll flock

When happiness fades and madness runs
Imagine colours brighter than the sun

When fires scorch and winters blow cold
Imagine spring letting love unfold

When you're drowning under the waters of hassle
Imagine that you're floating on top of a castle

When they all leave and bail– don't sulk
Imagine fairies with wings are eager to talk

Imagine

( Hold onto this anchor please)

When all seems lost and all stars gone
Imagine lights and you won't be alone

When sadness quakes and voices mock
Imagine the skies among with whom you'll flock

When happiness fades and madness runs
Imagine colours brighter than the sun

When fires scorch and winters blow cold
Imagine spring letting love unfold

When you're drowning under the waters of hassle
Imagine that you're floating on top of a castle

When they all leave and bail– don't sulk
Imagine fairies with wings are eager to talk

The Black Sheep

Who has been called the black sheep
The one child that roams and never sleeps,
Were you the one always in trouble,
When deep down all you wanted was a cuddle,

Dont give your child a lable
Then cut them off like a cable,
There the one who lives up to the name,
So maybe it's time for you to feel shame,

They fight they steal ,hurt you and lie ,
But your the one who always crys
There fights ,there battles, that you don't see,
They're only asking why does nobody see me

Instead of the black sheep, say there part of your pack,
And let them know you will always there back,
Guide and stear them in the right way ,
Let them speak if they have something to say ,
Give good advice, and Guide them on there way ,

Let the black sheep be a thing of the past,
Have a loving home that sure will last ,

Living on the Edge

What seems great, full of years and much to taste, later proves that time is not to waste.

Pass your time sojourning with trembling and fear, some of us may not have much time left here.

Considering then and now, all that’s ever been under the sun, I can still hear many ask, “what’s wrong with some fun”.

Curious we became, searching out this and that, posing as some great thing saying, hey look what I’ve got!

Forgetting our souls for which we will give an account, there’s no money that can pay for this required amount.

Covering your eyes and ears to this never changing truth, taking the broad road that doesn’t bare any fruit.

Swiftly without warning, one is plucked from this path, plummeting into a place that is so, so very dark.

Prepared is a great supper, you’re invited by the King, Jesus is the only way to enter therein.

Give thought I beg of you, stop living on the edge, look around its evening now, we are drawing closer to the end.

Broken records

No need for broken records,
Soon yesterday's news,
We must stay resolved,
To practice our hocus pocus,
For goodness' sake,
Prayers for peace unite,
Champions, reach for the stars,
Building better tomorrows,
To young, we pass the baton,
But still alive and kicking!
