The depth and breadth of our love
passes through portals of perpetual beauty
where its majesty wraps around us like a silk cloth
and poetry is scribed upon the flesh of our hearts
where emotions are luxurious colors flowing in our veins
when we journey the flower-filled meadow of our yearning
to find ardor in alluring eyes tethered to each kiss
and pluck the stems of vibrant flowers shared in abundance
from yellow butter cups and purple asters flirting with the breeze
offering an enamoured enchanted expanse of beauty to find love in

The River

One of life’s sunshine days
A pleasant walk down to the river
Scene of all basking in high summer sun
Sheep graze roaming enamoured of the warm grass
The river flowing passing on its ancient meandering way
A self carved path by an enticement no choice drawn to the sea
And over the river and water meadows comfy white cottages seen
The bright garden colours given now a soft focus by haze and distance
Onto the river bridge the weight an impetus of water a few feet down below
Grey stone ancient buttress shaped by old artifice granting water a gentle pass
Auric and glistening the strong suns noonday blazing light beams down
Lit the riverbed of soft golden sands transmuted a bronze by depth
Flanking green reeds softly sway the gentle current persuades
Shadows shapes seen moving contrary and counter way
Lovely minnow’s dark tops sides a silver hidden
Viewed unseen but in this summer light
Serendipity favour a glance a view
Perhaps a little peep
Of heaven

Premium MemberSea of Roses

Enamoured with myself, I walk my garden path
Where the grass grows tall
Snapping off a long piece, a whistle
So shrill the dogs howl

Dandelions greet me
Their sunny dispositions radiate hello
How can I not make myself a dandelion crown?
Can I not take what I own?

Daisies dance - pleading pick me, pick me
He loves you, he loves you not
No worries, love
I will pluck your petals until my answer comes up

Scent pulls me farther along to
a sea of roses at the edge
Their heads held high, defiant
  to the waves crashing below

Can I not pluck again?
They are mine, are they not?
I suck the pulsing red reminder
That we own nothing but just us

I try again, as they are mine!
A snip, a blossom cupped in hand
Cascading petals into nothingness
A mockery of my intent

Small acts land large on nondescript days
Majestically humble sea of roses
Here to teach and touch and love
My ego in my pocket, empty-handed I go

Distances

how can I not fall
for your heart's such a finesse
beauty in its own
mine enamoured of yours
heartbeats amplify each moment
yet this soft silence
weaves a storm
anticipating the end
of this very separation

Premium MemberMost Beautiful Flower

I am an ephemeral purple flower, a rare variety,
named as most beautiful!
Did that arouse adoration to a mother’s heart?
She chose the name for her baby in the womb,
She thought, my name suits best for her girl
Who was going to arrive soon!

My name kindled her imagination…and she
remembered the Princess of Malawa in disguise,
the enchanting dancer and heroine of Sanskrit classic...
Prince Agnimitra enamoured by her
beauty, grace and talents - happy ending to the historical
Romance, although after gripping intrigue!

Part of my name indicates a garland, usually
used for worship ….to the mother I symbolized
all the traits - kindness, strength, wisdom, and grace...
she wished her daughter to possess!

Premium MemberAll About My Name

Flattered... my name meaning a Princess of ancient times,
In the state of Malawa, where temple-bells rang chimes,
Bard, Kalidasa, composed in Sanskrit an epic great
About a Princess and her story of disguise and fate.

Agnimitra, handsome Prince, enamoured by her beauty,
But he was not aware of her true identity!
Thrilled to imagine myself heroine of such a story,
romance, and intrigue - part of a history and glory!

To some, my name symbolises a purple flower,
Which never fails to charm viewers’ hearts, in its bower.
To some others, it represents a graceful supple plant,
My mother thought I was a blessing which her God did grant!

My father exclaimed - she is the “garland” for me,
My daughter, my ultimate joy, a sublime beauty!
Many years they waited eagerly to embrace a girl,
My parents thought - they were gifted a gem purer than pearl.

Life Would Be Boring Without You

sometimes i sit and wonder
are you blind or are you plainly just a beautiful person
with all my flaws and imperfections
you love me unconditionally

my mind sometimes needs an explanation
from the heart to elucidate how someone can be loved so effortlessly
the heart finds itself choked up sometimes there
failing to find the words

every second i am with you i feel reborn
like a just born baby is cherished even when all they do is cry
accepted with all my flaws and imperfections
you comfort me purposefully

i roam everyday with this warmth in my heart
but i think when we are together we are perfect
that every part of my being is enamoured for you
i am obsessed with how you make me feel

Premium MemberYou Coulda Walked

Not everyone's enamoured by my humour
At risk of my head being bopped
Say things in jest that are taken as serious
Chancing of a punch in the chops

Like when I once said to a very large lady
Pressing number two in the elevator
“That's just one floor, you coulda walked!”
Thought I'd end up on the floor

Another time down in old Cape Cod
In a store getting out of the sun
A lady knocked over a very large display
Yelled “Now look what you've done!”

Dear Cathie turned ten shades of purple
She was just about to blow a gasket
However luckily cooler heads prevailed
Considered myself quite fortunate

“Look before you leap” as the old saying goes
Often insert my foot in my mouth
Runs the risk of hard blows to the head
And injury to my parts down south

The Death of the Sun

Upon fields ripe with earth, alone we lay,
yearning the foretold birth of a brighter day,
far beneath the heavens' maw,
nearer the crystal seas and her luminescent shore
we await the light we've grown to adore.

The sands, the dunes, were wet with waters crystalline,
of fragrant colours like none thou have seen,
a place not before we have been,
yet forever enamoured by vistas holy and serene.

The beauty, slowly, began to decay,
Slowly, we realize the sun would never rise, nor surmise,
the delivery of another day.

And so, it ended and began rather forlorn,
Ailing no array of light, no sun, no dawn.
Instead darker, if not colder too,
the shadows of night so continued to brew,
birthing horrors unchronicled, unexplained and new.

How could we have known, or have ever knew,
That the Sun would die, birthing a darkness anew?

Premium MemberThat Exquisite Moment

The sound of your voice
Is like a symphony by Beethoven
A beautiful melody by Schubert
A piano concerto by Mozart
I am totally enthralled by your presence
No longer can I resist your beauty
I must have you, embrace you
Feel your warmth
I am totally enamoured by you
Entranced by your seductive eyes
Your luscious red lips
Your flaxen hair
My heart beats loudly in my chest
At the mere sight of you
I must have you
My arms ache to hold you
My fingers long to explore your body
To know a passion so extreme
A tenderness I've yet to experience
To gaze upon your angelic face
How else to explain this feeling
This desire, this utter craving
To hold you, to enter your private world
Till that ultimate moment of bliss
That moment when emotions explode
And we become one
The outside world no longer exists
In that exquisite moment
There is only you and I among the stars
We are one!

You Just Can'T Win, Can Ya

I serenade my wife each night
With songs both old and new
To show how much I love her
It just seems the thing to do

But she is not enamoured
To hear my dulcet tones
She says it's just annoying
And it grates upon her bones

She says “just you keep quiet,
And I'll tell you this for free
If you don't stop your racket
You'll get nothing for your tea”

Inner Mystery

A thousand wishes propel out of your eyes
Oblivion is the mysterious place where it goes
Your lips do not vibrate to eject words
But gets zipped to suffer like silent birds
Your mind is a labyrinth of thoughts
Some of them rendered you sleepless nights
Your sensitive heart brimmed pure love
Sometimes they got punished for being naive
Every cell in your body sprays serene juice
Your whole existence is a colossal sacrifice
Your positive vibe can ensnare anyone
Your existence can replace the addictive smartphone
You smiled enamoured by the silent breeze
You can steal hearts with your killer gaze
Your expressions can discern your inner feelings
Your innocent look has no endings

Sudden Wake

.

              I’ve felt
      The sudden Bright
                mine
             all uv me
            enamoured
                  by
  Jehovah God Almighty’s
      Son Jesus Christ’s
                Voice

           …and then
                hern
            purty bare
       butt ‘gainst mine

          …Thus with
                 My
                here
         mine digits sin

Fly

The fly spits across my vision
cloud lost skies
a touchscreen world
erratic its journey
seeing the land in splintered
bond moments
jealous of its buttered kaleidoscope cousin
but enamoured by the torrid decays
of the left
