listen,
the whispers
of leaves
turn colour
autumn is here.
now that you are gone
who will wake every morn
to lift the sun
unveil the sky
etch in the clouds
who will paint the rainbow?
i had a dream and in the dream i wove you a poem
i used the fiber of my character to create spools of silken thread
dipped in the juices of my passion i dyed them in the colors of my imagination
re-enforced each and every single strand with the strength of my love
touch,
the echoes
of the rain
- waters
- blossoms spring.
now that 'us' is just a word
no longer with you as one
i alone wind up metal toys
cut out paper dolls
the beach swept from under my feet
the child in me flees.
spun spools from the intricacy of my spirit
designed a pattern
to the rhythm
of the music
of my inner thoughts
enamoured in your vision
crystal beads gather on my brow
as i toil your finely bred gift
as i braid every part of me
with every memory
into every sliver of fabric
taste,
uncut
snow shapes
crisp cold
ices the wintertide.
instead now rusted
a fools gold chain of loneliness
hangs around my neck like a noose
mourns a union that once had breath
a twosome that now is dead.
see,
the sand sculptures
paint
rekindle
a childhood summer
past.
sew in the loving glow emits my flawless dreams
with my boiling blood initial my woven piece
my work at an end i awake
you lay there a wingless angel asleep
smiling as if you heard a bell ring
your boundless warmth embraces me
the moon no longer smiles
the stars no longer wink
smell,
seasonal airs
stimulates senses
memories they deliver.
without a touch
barely - i kiss you.
in this
my decade of one
hope is a wickless candle
the night just day without light
in the glee,
hopes and dreams,
in the human spirit,
lives the miracle of life.
magnificent
voices in every pitch
deep and resounding,
the melody of echoes and whispers – uncut.

With Love
Armand
I want to word my very Love for you
though as a shy child, I start to stammer
a beloved Mother, my sole bijou
as I am of your prime Land enamoured.
A rose breathing the scent of your terra
born and bred knowing no other home soil
how can I bear the burn of your Summer
anger and worry within my chest boil.
I want to paint my very pride in you
with drops of my blood and ivory star
then draw your nature and beauty anew
how would my poetry meet who you are?
To my dear mother, shall I, You compare?
TUNISIA, Your Love, I'll ever bear.
O to be in England
in the early days of spring
when the golden daffodils
steal the heart and make it sing.
Roaming the Lake District
far away from urban noise,
by cascading waterfalls
enamoured of nature’s voice.
Up the craggy mountains
or on hills in shades of green,
watch the sun as down it slides
veiling tarns with sanguine sheen.
O to be there with you
holding hands in amber light
basked in aural twilight field;
daylight melting into night.
Fireflies or fairies
My mind cannot well discern.
Feelings surge within my soul,
Nature sighs with me and yearns.
Time and breath both bated
as your lips touch mine with bliss;
stars aflutter, for they know
Love is born with your sweet kiss.
A Callman Collaboration (Paul Callus and Eileen Manassian)
"I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it..."
E.E. Cummings
Amber hues kissed twilight's platinum pigments that night,
beckoning ivory pearls to weave patterns of astral flames.
Charm of the crescent moon glowed in a golden gem tinge,
dazzling in divine desires, devoted to admirers of starlit destinies.
Enamoured, we embraced, consoling under coral constellations,
forgetting fears, promising to forever remain as cosmic lanterns.
Galactic fires of euphoria, blazed celestial candles into dripping wax,
hushing horizons into a heavenly haven of honeysuckle hope.
Intoxicated inside fireworks of ethereal lights, dancing on clouds,
jasmine jubilance filled the air, as shy silver sparks slipped away.
Kindled spirits like nocturnal diamonds yearned to be eternal
lovers of luminescent lullabies lingering inside opalescent orbs.
Magnetism of moonlight melodies are enchanting, but ephemeral,
nothing lasts forever, so at dawn with the arrival of a nightingale
orchestra, our obsession of obeisance withered like an orchid obituary.
Pastel passions of our paramour portrait discoloured with daylight dew,
quivering in nature's quiet quarantine of quintessence slumber.
Radiant rays only offered reflections of regret and rejection, as,
sorrows of sunflowers in winter winds shattered my hourglass heart.
These tribulations torment my tired soul, like a refugee of romance.
Unstable, under an umber universe, I've become an uncherished
verse in a voiceless vocabulary, no longer vibrant nor valued.
Wilting in the wilderness without your wisteria whispers, wounds in
xanthous tumours, hidden behind a veil of Xanadu metaphors,
yearn to heal from yesterdays, where your touch softened my burdens.
Zest of your zealotry is engraved in echoes of my zephyr heartbeats.
I know where she prays within the necessity of nightfall
inside the Poets' Pantheon, an isolated Idol
they all came, close as envy can to care,
flowers and jewels from all the conquered territories
laid quietly at her toes,
Marco Polo would recognize her as exotic medicine
travel for centuries to have a single dose,
break your heart as a spoil of war that words could justify,
Leonardo slave to invent new paints for her grin of grace,
Janis Joplin shake out lyrics of how nobody could deny her dreams
without consequence of catastrophe,
demolish you with an ever deepening desire,
she needed a man that could hold the heights of her heaven,
a man capable not of sacrafice for a taste of her starlight
but one offering partnership in the placement of ******'s origin
giving forbidden sensation to her solar system,
so accustom to receiving love from the enamoured
amour as a dialect was nearly extinct in her essence,
a Goddess so tired of inspiring, so exhausted, almost bled out,
an Olympiean she wanted, an equal for Eternity,
soon worship would do no more for her,
she needed a man willing to receive her sacrafice,
able to take on her needs,
oh the beauties she may lay in his arms -

Melodic passion, lilting harmonies lull my slender fingers,
when I play with the stringed keyboard, I sink into the mellifluous music, can feel the gentle keys under my fingertips softly as the alchemy notes cadence spasmodically.
Swirling colours lost in time, chimes of the electric waves rhyme, repetitive sonorous beats one after the other replete the very ambience with cancerous, calm vibes.
The reverberating strains of those sacrosanct, subliminal-sounds' ripple effects lull senses with esoteric mellow polyphonies and my secluded, aesthetic-self, unconsciously submerges in those polyphonies silently.
The lyric goes on and on while immersing my soul,
the world seems calm from every harm on those ambrosial moments, once the last crescendo is struck, the enamoured silence of tranquility generates an utopia of its own,
yet, an art of magical touch of each pitch to the subliminal conscience and existence in sublime solitude can't be captured by interpretive ink
Can sense the calm after playing the stringed keyboard in solitude;
the exalted gadget is the catalyst to inner peace, a feast to the soul, what makes the esoteric journey complete, her dreamy rhythm makes my heart beat .

Tropical quadra plateau, Amazing bright sunny,
Glided waterfall Carrying happiness in their gunny.
Long nodding flower's joyously plumed,
Everbody waving happily, the herald bloomed.
Eureka, I love this heaven on earth!
Hazy perished hills, houses trenching at the outskirts,
Swaning over to the fluctuating peak of mountains, roosted with struts.
Orchid waftured, Clinging on to the cluster of flowers,
Precipitated rain was about to shower.
Gosh, it Stimulated my soul!
King of beast, sucking the sweet tempting fragranced juices,
Solitary alienate species including Honey bees mused badly abuses.
Fluttered wings, Struggling with them, Leisurely travelling my journey.
Fitnessed physically as if I am in an defensing army.
Situation turned to be horribly muddle,
Tremendously, I wanted to sort and excitedly cuddle!
Proud to have an Airfoiled wings of mine,
Antennate feature you prissily shine.
Rainbowis passion lying inside me,
Resourcefully mingled with music and dance, happening besides me.
Whoa,People got entranced!
People jeopardize the innate beauty,
Relishingly wanna do my duty.
Actuating my arms, Ventured to fly high.
Intended inspiration wanted to reach the sky.
Weaving the web spiderman thirstily trying me to catch.
Escaping from them I ran, prevented myself from getting snatched.
Ohhh,They had a Hostile faction accord!
Nature's beauty aspiringly propelled me.
Blowing wind, tactily sensisizing my skin,
Blushing cheeks, spilled the bean.
Nocturnal creatures will wake in the dark,
Aerophilically dangling around the shruby bed, before they bark
Stopping by sayonara, continuing my next stigmatic destiny!

Awakened by the creaking of the dying trees
In this barren land devoid of a breeze
Imprisoned dreams in a land of unpicked seams
Endless chasms of regrets in which no sunlight beams
Broken chords strumming tunelessly in solitude
Of songs of praises by an adoring multitude
Intruding reflections oppress thoughts that soar
Waltzing through his mind she invades once more
Time when they were darlings of virtuosic impression
Dancing in wild abandon to a public adoration
Truly enamoured in each other, their love did blossom
Though, in Life’s carousel sadly far too often
Pursuing perfection whatever may befall
One loses focus in the fluster of a fall
Adorning false crowns in high esteem
Ego soars and plummets and shatters the dream
In the drop of a pin - displeasure he perceives
past idolising could not now appease
the icy cold rejection she projects as she flees
leaving a broken man - who has failed to please
For many long years he lays wishing death’s end
Dwelling on memories of his so-called friends
Friends he thought steadfast who chose to ignore
his whispered words ‘forgive me I implore’
Shunned he was before his knees hit the floor
After long years of solitude one day he awakens
Finding his dark soulless days have been forsaken
Terrors of the night have been released - set free
From an unsuspecting sky all dark clouds flee
Dark night of the soul heralds White Light of the Self
Perceptions of enlightenment an awakening of himself
From the corner of his eye a movement he detects
A woman of the White Light he strongly suspects
In her iridescent persona to her task she ascends
His vulnerability she sees and her hand she extends
And in a confetti of star showers his heart she mends

Was it illusion, was it a dream?
That Garden in moonlight , ink
Dark sky. A single cloud like a
Razor passing. Black tree stretched
High and it’s claws scratched the
The milky way.Rectangular pond
Black as crude oil deadly still, I
Kneel and gaze deep within; like
Narcissus enamoured and
Transformed. A door into
Summer opens, blinding light
And in one stroke, my Garden
Is no more.
The sound of your voice
Is like a symphony by Beethoven
A beautiful melody by Schubert
A piano concerto by Mozart
I am totally enthralled by you
No longer can I resist your beauty
I must have you, embrace you
Feel your warmth
I am totally enamoured by you
Entranced by your seductive eyes
Your luscious red lips
Your flaxen hair
My heart beats loudly in my chest
At the mere sight of you
I must have you
My arms ache to hold you
My fingers long to explore every inch of your body
To know a passion so extreme
A tenderness I've yet to experience
To gaze upon your angelic face
How else to explain this feeling
This desire, this utter craving
To hold you, to enter your private world
Till that ultimate moment of bliss
That moment when emotions explode
And we become one
The outside world no longer exists
In that exquisite moment
There is only you and I among the stars
We are one!

For to love is a curse,
And to be enamoured, an hell
For it is better to have thine heart trodden over by chariots,
Than to be entranced by LOVE's deceitful spell.
For no matter how I yearn and try to make it last,
LOVE [always] twists and turns and escapes from my grasp...

Hola, I am Ram mehta,
I am going out to say adios to the land,
Where cars are houses,
And houses are storehouses.
I am going out to say adios to the land,
Where boy friends are easily available,
But batteries not included.
I am going out to say adios to the land
Where the girls are looking for the fun,
But batteries to be recharged.
I am going out to say adios to the land,
Where a son is enamoured of his own mother
And daughter seeks her own father in bed.
I am going out to say goodbye to the land,
An unmarried girl wants a child,
Her mother takes her to the city to get pregnant,
Like a shepherd takes the cows to a bull.
Please leave your message,
I shall get back to you

Chance seeing that shooting star, death by brilliant light.
Interpreting dreams, from the day or the night.
Chasing rainbows, it’s treasure foretold.
Facing the mirror, lines drawn, time is so cruel, just getting old.
A wish from adolescence, so fleeting, soon gone,
Finding it, losing it, then, the will to go on.
Fish in the ocean, songs soulful and sad.
Movie star glances, playing well written lines.
Maybe for 7 years, perhaps 10 if you are lucky.
It’s all gone so quiet, time to do it again?
Change for the better, could be sublime.
Forget the life of the past, move on in time.
Or live with the niggles, the mundane and the sour,
A fresh face, a smile, a feeling empowered.
What should you do, how will it end,
Seek advice from a stranger or support of a friend.
The truth is in there, somewhere, but it’s a gamble of trust.
Old for the new, the passion or lust
It’s a question asked over again, driving us to despair, as we
Wrestle with our head and our heart, with neither so clear.
To stay with the familiar, or infatuation so sweet.
In a throwaway society, where quality and value should last,
But a new toy is shinier than the comfort of a past.
An old barn burns the fastest; it’s always been the same,
From Maggie V and onwards, in a broken dream.
It has destroyed me, ne’er mind the cost
Of hearts sold and broken, it all falls into dust.
Water it, nurture it, see it grow and sustain,
So easy to turn it from the glow to mundane.
We are surrounded by it, with its passion and desire,
It’s too small a word, which we can always shift blame,
Yet we let it run amok with our emotions and mind.
We need to learn to be honest with it, to use other words of desire,
Fascination, drawn, enamoured, stimulated or lust
The feeling of tenderness, that electrifying touch.
A life for a life, a time for a time,
You get older, perhaps wiser; you seek solace, something quite unreal,
So why is it too easy to fall in love?
You dear are my fascination
Exceeding my expectation
Thrilling me making my heart race
There’s something in the way you move
I love how you sway to my groove
With every step you match my pace
Waltz, rumba, salsa or tango
More delicious than a mango
Sexy wearing leather or lace
My fingers explore every line
More intoxicating than wine
The allure began with the chase
Yes it’s true you played hard to get
Not looking at me when we met
I was enamoured by your style
Your easy understated way
Tapping as the music would play
and a subtle hint of a smile
Eventually you took my hand
Moving to the sound of the band
Breathtaking moments last a while
In my arms you are meant to be
Being with you makes me feel free
floating above the earth a mile
your movement is a form of art
Everything is more colourful
since you tangoed into my heart
Written May 12th 2018. For Connor Lott’s Hutinashrow poetry contest. Challenging but fun. I hope I got it right.
I stopped combing my heart
So my feelings could lock up
And I’d be able to speak of real bliss
Then wrap my love around how unlike
The others you drew no boundaries
But still you knew who you want
And I didn’t have to pull any stunts
Or play these games
That we all play when the days
Turn to night and her smile
Shines so bright
I’m enamoured
Losing all my power
But I don’t need this
Lie to steal this kiss
And I don’t have to lie
Or invent moments that
Speak of real bliss
Or wish that she was another
Cause she’s the other
I wished they all were
The games I used to stir
My pot of lies
And tries to be the man
I’m not ready to be
You had the foresight to see
That soon I’ll be the man
Who speaks of real bliss
And wants to give you kids
Living the best life
You’ll ever know
We’ll grow together
Maybe even old
A weathered couple
Reminiscing about that Tuesday night
We had our last first kiss
The night I learned how
To speak of real bliss.
