Scattered, pole to starry pole,
glide Cynthia's mild beams,
whispering to the receptive soul
whatever moonbeams mean.

Bathing valley, hill and dale
with her softening light,
loosening from earth’s frigid chains
my restless heart tonight!

Over the landscape, near and far,
broods darkly glowering night;
yet welcoming as Friendship’s eye,
she, soft!, bequeaths her light.

Without any arguing, no fits or drama
She has them listening, and their respect.
No underlying theme to unravel or inspect.

An Elfin Smile

A magnetic fairy with elfin smile,
Captures immersion with feminine wile.
    Moonshine aura enwraps you,
    Queen with crown of diamond dew,
Sublime joie de vivre shines in style.

The Elfin War

I told my boss this was a job I didn’t relish
Reports so far deemed this Elfin war rather hellish.
Troops had crossed the border and entered the valley.
So far we didn’t have a death or injury tally.
I entered the tavern, only a mile from the enemy line. 
The locals seemed relaxed and all seemed fine.

In the mystic lands of new Elfton,
The locals panic and run, 
The Elfin war's thirst for bloodshed,
Trees uprooted and the sand bled.
I saw the tavern's lamp glow,
Untouched by the bloody wind's blow,
Its inhabitants talked of the terrible war,
As they chug their beer from the war so far.

The tavern grew with its special beer,

The war is ever-nearer to the boarders of this land
Seeping forward through the woods
Releasing acrid echoes of doom ahead on energetic tongues of stowaways
Lucky to survive their ordeal
Here they are welcomed, and in this cozy tavern
Their woes are hidden in the shadows while they warm their feet by the fire, regaling their heroic tales of

In the ancient land of Lonvar, only a day away
On the other side of the mountain, it was war
Reports of fighting and the use of a magic spell
The elves were being dispossessed by the trolls
Losing precious ground, and their lives as well
Yet few around here knew what it was all for
Why such bloody violence,

Sleeping Elfin Baby

sweet elfin baby is asleep in her vine cocoon
we will let her slumber in the light of the moon
her azure eyes will not open any too soon
we might even let elfin baby sleep until noon

Elfin Faced Boy

I think back to the days
Of that elfin faced boy
Sweet , funny and a little coy

Like a brother to mine
A second son
Lasting memories 
Of good times and fun

Two boys playing
Innocent and carefree
Full of life and promise
For who they will be

From boys to men
Decent and strong 
Finding their place
Where they belong

scintillant truths the jaded world outgrew
as baffled poets winged keyed kites?amazed,
in dream of shocks that suddenly came true .

Elfin Spring

Down by the soily brook they go, under the woody bridge. 
The Featherly Elfins make their home to hide from the Blustery Fridge.
Made of snow and windy blow, icesickles in his hair,
he comes to still the Valleyville, blowing crystals in the air. 

The Elfins chug their gluggy mugs and toast with foamy tea, 
Chanting songs

Elfin Faerie What a Doll

elfin faerie, what a doll.
Blueberry vine adorns a wall.
my mushroom dreams, here to stay
 in verdant forest, far away.

 faerie princess, you do excel
 give your all, extremely well.
 never a plot, rarely a ploy.
