You walk the way the wind blows
Or so the story goes.
You rode the waves of blue,
And lived a life with no clue
You blow smoke of tar
And drive a beat up car
You live in built-up walls,
Where twilight slowly crawls.
A fortress made of stone,
To keep yourself unknown.
You traded wind and sky,
To watch the world go by.
But rain taps on the window pane,
To remind you of the pain.
And the wind still knows your name,
Before you quit the game.
You throw the portal wide,
And cast the ghost aside.
Out where the blacktop gleams,
You wake up from your dreams.
You head across the bay,
To find a better way.
You turn toward the east,
The captive soul released.
The engine starts to roar—
You walk the way no more.
I dreamed of my son last night
he was alive and in good spirits
and I enjoyed the time with him
but then I woke up and remembered
he is not on this earth anymore
It is still a gift to dream of him,
and until my life is over, it is
the only way to spend time with him
It left me feeling the joy of the love I
still very much have for him and
also the heartache of loss so acute
that my heart shattered again
In my dream I dreamt
I was with someone
The face was clouded
So i did not know
Who this person was
His clouded shape showed
He was average height
it was all I've seen
Of his body shape
I've seen in my dream
He called out my name
I was so surprised
All I did was stared
Pondered who he was
I could not recall
He said he knew me
We met long ago
I could not think of
Who this person was
He knew who I was
I could not conclude
Who this person is
I am waiting to dream
For him to reveal
Who he is to me
Out of soft dreams we leap.
With a strange cadence.
As if to a beat.
Lock step metropolis crawl.
Hot on the blood trail.
To the feeding at dawn.
Keys to turn.
Numbers to dial.
With casual serpentine smiles.
Nothing to see here.
No new traditions to make.
While last night's abandoned dreams await.
In dreams, I float with hair filigree
searching for him but he is sleeping,
his dark eyes closed, yet, he pulls me
to him bruising my lips, and whispering.
I stroke his engraved name in stone,
remembering, loving him still in death.
Summer lover's moon shyly enclosed in
silvered clouds,
a honeyed recollection,
white caps of memory waves,
cresting, curling dreamily,
a tide under eve's star canopy,
coupled in enchantment,
entwined on the beach. ~
Sing for me bluebird
I love your voice
I love you too
And I so rejoice
In thinking one day
You will take me away
On your wings I will ride
To our Annecy chalet
Play for me troubador
Skillfully on the strings
New melodies each morning
Never knowing what love brings
Dreaming of the one day
When we can fly away
Together hand in hand
To our Annecy chalet
I was sleeping
You're the one dreaming
I was turning
You're squirming
I can't sleep right
You're rolling in my sight
I was groping that night
You keep on moving like a knight
You don't stop irking me
You know I can't complain
You keep on teasing me
You know I can't refrain
bugging me and strain
When will you stop?...
Off the bed I drop
You followed me and you drop
Off the bed you flop
Eeeeeeeee...
My pillow feels so awfully lumpy
I dream their casting votes for “trumpy”
Well not for him but for his minions
Swinging tightly from his pinions
And yet in truth if I’m confidin’
I’m not too thrilled with old Joe Biden
For somehow when the fan is hit
He comes out clean….where was he hide’n
It seems they want to change the past
To fit and mold in full array
A robe of politics couture
In hopes to resurrect a future
When we awake and have to choose
For even when we win we lose

I dreamed I was hanging out with Darroll near the train station. We entered a prison cafeteria and ate lunch. Then we looked in a junk store and I found two really cool vintage iron tools which I gave Darroll for his rusty iron tool collection (which, in my dream, he had). At some point a big book shelf fell over. We did some other stuff and then it was time for him to go so he revved up his shoes, leaned forward, and sped away to the sound of a pair of tiny lawnmowers.
A light from the sky, no one knows the source.
Shines the invisible path of your life but can you stay the course?
There is bad and there is good but that choice is yours.
A clean life costs so much in a world of broken laws.
History tells of the lives of people who’s dreams were broken and taken by force.
History tells of the lives of these people who found ways to open all those bolted, locked and closed doors.
The ripple in the calm stream
The cold air in the sun
The nightjar or the owl scream
The silence you begun
The creaking door in the night
Soft footsteps in the dark
The movement of something out of sight
The wrong shadow in the park
I turn because I sense you there
Even though you can’t be seen
The knowledge that I know you care.
Makes me sleep easy in my dreams
Deep in her sleep, the Princess mystically dreams.
Of dancing with bangled diamond and ruby bound ankles,
Upon satin pillows for her king.
She's swathed in opaque rainbow colors.
An opaque veil covering her face.
Her big brown eyes not for even one second,
Wander from her kingly lover's face.
For that would indeed be a disgrace.
Her finger cymbals play seductively, only for him.
To gain his sole, sensual, passionate attention.
Simply to he his alone, once more amorously again.
Is her satin pillow dreams, sole intention!

A hasty glance and still my heart leaped up
as ever to burst thrills within my breast.
If I knew more on the ways of romance,
I might not excite like some dizzy pup.
Just staring at his house excites love dreams.
I walk away from his home in love’s trance,
lost in the sweetest fantasy soared flames
and love schemes gleam in my heart streams.
I look for him on each sidewalk I pass,
in each of our town's retail window frames,
in any restaurant where I might sup
and I seek four leaf clover’s help in grass.
If one day he would turn and notice me,
he would see all the ways our souls agree,
he would know I am his heart’s appointee
and, I know, his would burst a ‘whoopee.’

(written for contest)
To strive for decency is a better hope.
To strive for tolerance is a better dream.
To strive for kindness is a better human.
To strive for fairness is a better humanity.
To look and to listen and not hasten to act.
To feel and collaborate and not react.
To see each other through respectful eyes.
To accept each other without the lies.
To open our minds and see past the skin
tone shades......
The world would be a much better place.
