Warfarin wanderer of dark forests
Shattered dreams of yesterday
Promises forgotten like petals
In the wind diatonic chords
That no one can process
Yesterday’s and faraway
Slumbers wake a vision
To behold at suns rise
Carried through life’s
Mysterious endeavors
Love and romantic
Interludes shockingly
Familiar yet leave a
Bitter taste on lips
Dewdrops on leaves
After a summer rain
Brisk and unforgettable
Yet the rainbow of color
Promises of gold
At the end empty
Hands bare and worn

Four and Eight of States

What is love?

Is it reality?

Is it your best friend? An illusionary mind full of per-ambles...AND THEN tomorrow again?

Can it get, like a machine can shop?

Do we spiel and squeal like wheels-

or the heels and hails in the hails?

What is diatonic in petitionary collusion(s)?

I see disputing commendations and suspended dreams with smoke and things...

I see how everything can clash, and then we need a piece...

Premium MemberMy Harmonica Cries

My harmonica cries,
in tones of silver sighs and golden tears;
wailing bittersweet joy.

Sound of sadness; sound of laughter;
it’s in the wailing that color blooms.
Mouth-harp memories fill many family albums.

Circle of breath, circle of life;
winding in and out; among the reeds.
As we all wind down life’s road.

Diatonic monotones blending with
chromatic colors of sharps and flats;
my harmonica sings the music of diversity;
notes in keys of primary colors and unending shades.

Dear Mother He Sang

Time was once a letter sent
A thinly packaged salutation
Revealing reads and rushes
A content discourse situation

Story lines entwined grapevines
Most privately complicit
A baton passed a relay cast
Too confidential to elicit

Artistic flair in swirling script
Stylish prose self styled emphatic
A photographic written pose
Of diatonic scale chromatic

Life

What, if not
meaningful thought
purposeful action,
calibrated memory,
diatonic music,
enlightened love,
defines an auspicious life?

Thought without meaning,
random action,
vertiginous memory,
atonal music,
Stygian despair.

Triumphant Life:
only success
merely failure
only light
merely darkness
only everything
merely nothing

Elysian Fields

Will you now place your sweet hand close in mine
and we’ll walk fair Elysian fields of peace.
Together we’ll talk knowing we won’t pine
earth’s scene where constant strain has no surcease.

The flowers show a majestic array
of colors bright more so than eyes can view.
With little white bench saying we can stay
awhile before our stroll begins anew.

This music you hear comes from morning lights
that play harmonic’s great ebullient score.
Its range exceeds the diatonic heights
and we can go to place where angels soar.

Dear, place your faith in Jesus Christ this day
and see the garden made for you to stay.

Che Reads Do Re Mi With Regard

C-he reads do re mi with regard,
H-aving felt the admiration;
E-ven if the tone is low
R-apture is felt in elation.
R-eading do re mi with regard, Che cheers up the listener;
Y-es, the first three tones are heard from the voice of the speaker.

D-o re mi of the diatonic scale
U-sually are used in solmization;
E-xciting practice has been done,
R-ehearsal is for preparation.
M-usical performance begins, opened by the break of dawn;
E-vening shadows disappear, as the twilight is gone.

R-ound of applause is given,
E-xtending the standing ovation;
G-reat sound fills the event
A-s Che enjoys the occasion.
D-ay twenty-sixth September, she wants to look forward;
O-pening her mouth and eyes, Che reads do re mi with regard.
