Diagnosed Poems

Diagnosed as Love

let our kisses leave us... breathless
our aimless hearts beat... reckless
locked in this heightened state
let our arms be our prison
and our passions never abate
our lips be our choice of poison

let our pumping bloods erode our hearts
in our spent beings a feeling is born
...engraved in our after glow...
apparent in bodies torn
filled with endless possibility
LOVE becomes our only philosophy

My father, an officer in army, his friend too,
A hypochondriac friend who was always blue,
Said I’m off to see the quack,
Doc said, odds against you stack,
Diagnosis: you’re pregnant Rex, out he flew!

Diagnosed

Disease of the mind
Controlled by another
Hated by the higher
Loved by the lower.

The sicker the better
We’re not coherent.
The sicker the richer
Total opposites.

The disease is life itself.
Blood sucking hell raisers.
The happier we are the worse
Then hurt anyone who tells us otherwise.

We don’t even know we have it.
We are the statistic of dying liabilities
The only disease that murders our loved ones
Even before ourselves.

Selling our souls
To a disease torturing us.
Yet we torture others for our future expense.

SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE

Soaked with blood, sweat and sadness.

Diagnosed

They came to me and said we have a diagnosis, after a few weeks of tests, its no longer a guess.

What i no longer have to be afraid, i no longer have to cry, no i longer have to wonder why.

Now i can can just sit here right? Wonder what to do next and try to say positive and be strong right?

Want honesty want to be true its not as easy as it looks when u know everyone is worried and looking down on you

But dont worry about me, i am more than just a man in a man with ability.

God gives all something inside and thats called love for one another and hope
and that something we all cling to dearly when we need it most

And if it is my time he will call on me and if it is thats when i will let that hope go

You guys will have to also because he will need me more than you do

Thats just how love works but this doesnt mean i dont love you.

See we are all chosen to do certain things in life
Let start our path this day
I am changing my life for the better now from this moment forward each day i will pray.

Diagnosed Absurdity

graduated cum laude
with a PhD in madness,
practitioner of your
  own philosophy as
    the harbinger of doom,
tales of darkness where
the deck is always stacked,
what's the sense of light
   to an austere night
or spring's flourish
   mid winter's brashness,
you don't need to be
      a rocket scientist
    to diagnose absurdity

Not Diagnosed

I see the problem
Churning within my body
Irritating my soul
Tying my goals

I see this illness
Draining the hope in me
You're walking away
From this mess.. As I wish I could do myself

I see this disorder
Haunting me
Growing with each concern
Devouring my dreams

I see this disease
Suffocating me
Whispering these dark words
Telling me what isn't possible

Yet somewhere from inside
I laugh it off
Stress makes life interesting
I tell myself

If they can do the same
Me too

I climb those same mountains
Yet I am stronger
I am younger
I am better

Sickness may tie me down
But my punches will only grow stronger

Diagnosed

Fresh and crisp were the air and love,
Bright mornings and nights hovered from above.
Love was careless, faith was blind, hope leaped wildly,
hearts were kind.
I was sure, I was certain, I was positive.

Faults were carried to and fro,
Not from our lips did they grow.
You grew wings, I grew limbs,
Commitments masked themselves as whims.
Love was careful, faith could see,
Hope walked slowly, hearts did bleed.
I was sure, I was certain, I was positive.

Fresh and crisp are the air and love,
Bright mornings and nights hover from above.
Love is careless, faith is blind,
Hope is leaping, our hearts are kind.
You are positive, I'm still sure,
You are positive, love's yet pure.
You are positive, I'm still certain,
I'm still positive.
