Desirous Poems

Premium MemberDesirous

We are made
to be free
Together
Who does not desire peace?
Who does not desire happiness?
Who does not desire life?
So obvious and yet so complicated

Love is ageless
It is always incipient
Who does not desire love?
Who does not desire warmth?
Who does not desire the desire for you?
So obvious and yet so complicated

We are made
to be afraid
Together
Who desires the forbidden?
Who desires pain?
Who desires survival?
So complicated and yet so easy

hunger awakes desire to eat
tiredness begets the urge to sleep
being alone, this being, is besotted
with companionship and distraction
from the endless chore of self-absorption
'tis stoic to delay and contemplate
before quenching those desires.
because staying hungry, staying desirous
keeping the want unrelinquished, unfulfilled
is a discipline that
keeps the mind alert and wanting,
it averts the numbness
of being satisfied, satiated and empty
with all desires quenched, extinguished, gone.

The Desirous

Much In their hands,
Sufficient in their barns,
Blinded to others' sparse lands,
Inconsiderate to their scattered darns.

The Desirous But Not Serious

He is eager to break a record
But a lot plays with loafers’ record:
The Leanest Time to wonders accord …

He is The Gasping for a record
But in his left ear an oft fixed cord;
Not with scholarship in accord …

The Anxious-to-Create-a-Record
Still in his heard speeches Hacked Concord
And one could glimpse in them his thrust word …

Then, do not worshipful notice take
Of the Desirous-to-Record break:
Some of the times, a user of dictions
That are fraught with rash contractions;
The chap’s last speech-filled publications
By him tagged Divine Supplications …

But I knew and could prove pinned papers
About some much touted life shapers,
In sizes a peace-preaching memo,
In quality, A Hurried Demo;
At last to be granted ‘No Author’;
Who does to be checked by A Doctor.

Passionate One

Passionate One
by Michael R. Burch

for Beth

Love of my life,
light of my morning,
arise brightly dawning,
for you are my sun.

Give me of heaven
both manna and leaven,
desirous Presence,
Passionate One.

Desirous Contempt

Desire crawled toward her lover-
She was by contempt convered:
When no coin tend to serve you right.
You make a new rule and toss a new dice.

She'd been exposed to pollution,
After Zeal was bethroted to contemption.
Then none is ready to perceive any longer her lyrics,
For the contemptous zeal did the ear prick.

She was by fate alone.
Hence she sauntered to him for a loan.
That if to her, life present a pleasant delicacies.
So,will she-along with her lover- dish from it varying species.

Desirous contempt roar in the field,
And wrong zeal did many folks lead.

Where Green Forests Wrap Desirous Land

Across the midnight divide in a shroud,
this soul sails upon glistening gold wings.
There with vanity and what pride allowed,
my seeking heart wanders along and sings.

Beneath snow covered summit my joy shouts
where green forests wrap the desirous land.
To find me, hire the greatest Native scouts
for I move on with the animal band.

Near to the sweetest flowing river's banks
each morn I rise to give eternal praise.
Give this, my Native American thanks,
escaped I, from dark cities wretched haze!

Deep in that huge divide my spirit dwells,
no longer enduring man's living hells.

In Pursuit of a Desirous Lady…

Your deceitful tease
and illusive behavior
are beyond compare;
your blind promise
has yet proven
that you really care.

How long
must my soul lowly hang
like unbalance strange fruit---
dripping trails of fallen red juice
as I chase you in desirous pursuit?

They say
only death rivals
your equanimity---
fool I was---thinking
such also included me.

I’m taught
to always love and seek
you everywhere; but
in all my loving and searching
I can’t find you anywhere---

For me---
the warmth of your sweet bosom
has never been there; yet
I shall not wander in vain
nor without a strong belief;
knowing audacious faith
will balance my wanton desire---
sending soft sweet music
from the angle’s lyre; and
from your aching judicial loins,
flowing ecstatic relief:
from all the built up painful grief.

Yes, justice must be for all:
Precious Lord, please hear my call.

Desirous Streams

Those nights disturbed by dreams of passion’s touch,
Her lips the rose inspiring gentle sighs,
That break the fear my heart demands too much.
The essence of her breast wears no disguise,
As pulses echo in love’s tender kiss,
In this desire there is no compromise.
Should darker fears then create an abyss,
Denying senses the wonder of dreams,
Can one simple touch save a soul from this?
For love is blessed by the moon’s silver beams,
When lovers seek the beauty found amid
The joining of souls in desirous streams.
Those nights disturbed by dreams of passion’s touch,
That break the fear my heart demands too much.
