Dedication

This is for the one and only.
The one who sent his son to die for me.
I wanna thank you for the fam, friends, nephew, and niece.
Thank you for the skillz in poetry.
im going to be the best I can be.
Give you all the glory.
Im going to spread your word and tell them about your story.
I know I broke your rules but im sorry.
Now I understand the bumps, dips, and the wrecks in my journey.
Cause I follow you the world is trying to burn me.
There is only one father, boss, king,God,and one Lordy.
From my cuts, sins, and lies cure me.
I know you will open the world eyes so they can see.
God is a hospital and we are his patients.
If you didn't know this is a dedication-Mario Perez

Courage

Welcome to a world where brute strength isn’t quite enough
All your fears you didn’t know you had make sure you’re up to snuff
Take a look at all your allies and step forward now
Deep within the center of this world’s where you will show

Courage from a Paladin’s blade
Wisdom from magic obtained
Deep in this world so foreign
Ancestry; your test shall begin

Have you given up on those you have now left for dead?
If you were completely alone, would you continue to tread
On the path you never would have thought you would explore?
Or would you just sacrifice all that you’re fighting for?

Soldiers combat for the goal
A world razed until all is cold
Prevention is why they all fight
Heroes from the blue unite.

Hidden

In this world we have those who are free
And those who wish to be.
In this world we have those who are blind
           And those who can see.
I am cursed with a blind eye and told who I'm supposed to be.
Secretly I wish I could see,
Secretly I wish I was able to walk free.
In this world we have predators who walk around with unpunished murders,
           And their passed on whispers.
In this world we have prey who's mothers weep as they bury their babies,
Forevermore counting their maybe's.

By John Moses Freeman, Sorry Nette, I don't have means
of centering the poem on my post page.."Disparity"

~Cloud
   my dreams
   on serpent
   chain links create
   feelings of a time
   when my backbone was mine
   I dream of another time
when the world was really mine
the lack of food has weaken my mind
dream gift concludes, serpent chain links protrude
                    ~
~Reality, a dream’s fatality
wickedly the fate syndrome sets in
world of the rich concepts’ excuse
   unemployed, beaten, flat broke
   signs and times have spoken
   my children await
   starvation’s fate
   no escape
   fate’s soul
   mate!!

Little angel smiles
Holds the world in tiny hands
Sings new golden songs

The Story of Rain

Tyler Jones
Rain the Story Contest Poem

I see Rain from time to time.
With pain in her eyes she can't leave behind.
She knows this world is a preamble to the next.
She's someone divine in a world full of rejects.
Her visions of tomorrow fulfill her very soul.
Knowing the next world won't be so cold.
When parting from Rain I'm always filled with sorrow
Knowing her new world could come tomorrow.

A Heart of Art

A creative heart you were, attached to art;
You neglected fame yet you played your part,
In your humble hut, you carved a colorful cart,
While some men are moving in a mart to mart.

You painted the world on paper that is powerful,
You carved a kind cot, so cool and colorful;
You built a blessed boat so bright and beautiful,
Just to make the wild wiser, wider and wonderful.

Your world was wholesome though cheerless,
 Your vision was to be the voice of the voiceless;
You painted the heart of the hurt and the helpless,
You focused on the future… so faithful and fearless.

For your fans and folks you gave everything;
Even fools and your foes learned something,
For all your wondrous works you earned nothing,
At last, you lost your life: the most precious thing.

“The Request”

Villanelle form that the world might have sight,
Gracious, Doctor Ram and contest needs.
From our sacred hearts let us bring forth light.

For wise men know inward talent is right,
Not the mere words of many carnal greeds.
Villanelle form that the world might have sight.

Dark thoughts like black clouds, no revealing sight,
They bring evil deeds, parasitic seeds.
From our sacred hearts let us bring forth light.

Let wicked imaginations take flight,
As of brotherly love, not evil deeds.
Villanelle form that the world might have sight.

As darkness in the naught of death is night,
Blind leaders of the blind, of the mind feeds.
From our sacred hearts let us bring forth light.

Gracious Father, grace all men’s sacred hearts,
At Doctor Ram's request sacred heart bleeds,
Villanelle form that the world might have sight.
From our sacred hearts let us bring forth light.

"mother"

I float within a billowing cloud
Enveloped in puffs of white
Drifting along in a world upside down
I playfully bounce out of sight!

I live with my friends who softly trill;
They hop and bob, making me smile
My life has begun with such a thrill,
I'm contented and loved all the while!

A shadow has ceased my reverie
And tears I cannot help but cry;
That woman again is looking at me
With a world of love in her eyes!

Years flew by like clouds in the sky
And my life grows weary and cold-
But I'll always see the love in the eyes,
Of my Mother whom I long to behold!

Lost But Not Forgotten

Awakened to the sound of screaming
As the earth begins to shake
Where are all your loved ones
In the midst of this massive quake

Fears on a mass proportion
Begin to fill your heart
As the buildings begin to crumble
It tears your world apart

It lasts, what seems like, forever
There's nothing you can do but pray
Nothing will ever be the same
For your world has changed today

All communications fail you
No one knows where you are
You hear the people talking
But yet they seem so far

Minutes go by like hours
And the hours go by like days
There's nothing but pain and heartache
That's lost in a hopeless daze

Lost, but not forgotten
As you hear your family cry
Their tears are their last farewell
As you give up the ghost and die

This poem is dedicated to the families affected in the recent earthquakes.

Premium Member A Warm Fuzzy World

World, here's a warm fuzzy!
It's supposed to make you smile

Thank you God for each wonderful and unique
character that exists in it

Let's have a grand feast
on world peace

Everyday the world will light a candle
we'll send out good vibes, thoughts, and energy

Wishes, blessings, prayers, and good intentions
They'll be sent up to God

We'll make love go round
like a merry go round

We may jump off
but we'll always jump back on

Jump on to world peace
warm fuzzies of heart

Like white doves
Peace comes from within

Love and light to all
Peace is a glorious blazing journey burning bright

Pass it on, give it away
carry the warm fuzzy candle of Peace!

Faithfully?

From a faithful heart a world torn apart, from a battered
mind two taken from time.

A heavy heart you touched my soul though to me you
were not know but, in this senseless violence there is comfort
because to Heaven you have flown.

When I think of this wildness I can’t help but be filled with so much
anger, I lay my face in my hands and cry for your terror.

A million antecedents, your heart must have been huge; or did he
ingrain in your mind something that wasn’t true?

For love or something, you endured and paid the ultimate sacrifice,
so let’s never forget Teresita and Rachel, ironically they showed us
how to save a life.

From a faithful heart a world torn apart, from a battered
mind two taken from time.
(Victims of family violence taken from the world)

Cheerful faces made up and painted white
Glowing with stark colors extra bright
Wonderful array of emotions on faces displayed
Making people happy is the way in their hearts and their heads

Some might think that it is only a simple job
But really it is more than that it's a choice when they laugh or they sob
A decision that they've come to terms with when they gleed
Even when deep inside they may be also so broken-hearted

But they continue making people laugh just the same
And entertaining children of all the ages just alike
They bring into the world so much joy and happiness acclaimed
As they spread to the mermerized crowds all their charms unnamed

Funny faces made up of white paint as they ride
Melting sad hearts and sowing everywhere hopes
Even when they may be hurting deep inside
They always bring to the world so much joy as they play!
