"villanelle, In Honor of Dr. Ram"

“The Request” Villanelle form that the world might have sight, Gracious, Doctor Ram and contest needs. From our sacred hearts let us bring forth light. For wise men know inward talent is right, Not the mere words of many carnal greeds. Villanelle form that the world might have sight. Dark thoughts like black clouds, no revealing sight, They bring evil deeds, parasitic seeds. From our sacred hearts let us bring forth light. Let wicked imaginations take flight, As of brotherly love, not evil deeds. Villanelle form that the world might have sight. As darkness in the naught of death is night, Blind leaders of the blind, of the mind feeds. From our sacred hearts let us bring forth light. Gracious Father, grace all men’s sacred hearts, At Doctor Ram's request sacred heart bleeds, Villanelle form that the world might have sight. From our sacred hearts let us bring forth light.
