A world left in ruin
Disturbed by man
A storm left brewing
Cast by our own hand
We want and crave more
We determine what is best
Yet we cast other out
Because of God's request?
Are lives all will be forfeit soon
The anti is rising much like a monsoon
So I go now
An author known not
And I ask to the faithful
Did God say to stir the melting pot?
The world is cracking
The stress is to great
We no longer stand together
And all we understand is hate
I had not imagined such annoying impatience.
The lone homeless looking gentleman, although
outside of the cross walk, was crossing the intersection.
I needed to turn left, resulting in delaying on-going traffic.
The gentleman slowly crossed as I patiently waited; but
I heard a horn behind me. I was less annoyed by its sound
than I was surprised. I said to myself, "Were the gentleman
an animal, no one would blow". I was sadden by the thought of it.

Speak of it not,
think of it not,
lest regrets may
cloud the failing light,
and weariness
a shroud becomes.
This little thing,
once proud in love and lust,
now hides its face
and soon it will be dust.
Gone is the lustre
and delight
of fond imaginings,
as shadows deepening
enfold what once
seemed ever bright,
impervious to
encroaching night.
I started by declining invitations
Just feeling a bit tired was the excuse
It’s funny how we often fool ourselves
Waiting for the world to tie the noose
It’s an easy thing to fall and lose our focus
When the road is full of potholes and gloom
To lower the bar of expectation
To see only the thorns and not the bloom
Though a grip is slight with slippery fingers
It’s more important now to persevere
And find our way back into the sunlight
To hold on to life and love so dear
Declining Desire
Thank you for a hand, raisin a waning wieny,
for paying lip service to resur-******** of the dying.
Thank you for taking into your motherhood, my little man,
allowing him to feel, to touch, to give as much as he can.
Thank you for taking in his homeless dreams, for the moment,
for within me there is no dreams and within you
their dreams will not but touch the silver lining
before their little souls, with their big dreams, ascend
into all the universes, trying to find more than an end.

Hippolytus and Phaedra In Declining Orbits
Hippolytus and Phaedra, a Euripides sad story
Phaedra wants sex with Hippolytus, (her step-son)
She tries every trick in the book for her own glory
Hippolytus, illegitimate son of Theseus, (king of Athens)
Phaedra, his wife was not very nice
Theseus wants his son dead for what he tried to do
Hippolytus, (sworn to chastity) plus, he wants men
Unjustly charged for compromising Phaedra
Banished by his dad
Died slowly from injuries brought on
In a bad decision
Incurred by a chariot collision
Phaedra orbits in another world, from another planet
She hanged herself, which brought attempted incest to an end
Hippolytus travels in his own universe, he too is dead
As I walk the countryside seems grey,
The stars revolting in their arrogance,
And I cannot find hope or inspiration,
In even the tiniest flower,
Without a drop of mead.
