My Prophesy

One day, one may go
In places we don't want to know
Just assure that your name is written
Embossed in gold shining in heaven.

Yes, I'm preaching
To the soul that's needing repair
I'm talking to all who hears His teaching
To warn a deluge will come so each life may spare.

The world is delicate right now
Rumors of Armageddon is creeping
I do hope Moscow show love somehow
So we can live a life we want for keeping.

Somehow Nostradamus has more to say
Than the Political Analyst wants to debrief
Believers of God and Peace Makers always pray
That all is well that ends well finds a relief.

I have high hope that World Leaders do good
So United Nation not bedeviled and not be unguided
That life may continue to thrive and not be booed
By Devils who want this world to be divided.

The Second Coming is here then
If you just know it in your heart
He is now intervening the affairs of men
We just have to chose our role and take our part.

Premium Member Suspension of Belief

Are lingering sighs, while expressing disbelief
Showing some frustration ere welcome relief,
With sincere, rapt attention to what it entails
Carefully absorbing the minutest of details,
Sometimes with the aid of a silk handkerchief.

Then, too, observing the most foolish mischief
Showing itself in a variety of impetuous motif
Sending one off the straight and narrow rails,
                                        Are lingering sighs.

A heavy sigh can denote suspension of belief
Or registering information requiring a debrief,
To assure utmost security from whatever assails
Attention-getting, to be sure, notice never fails,
Quite different from sudden breath-taking grief
                                        Are lingering sighs.

Premium Member Balance Your Field

America used to be great, then we stopped reaching for the stars.
We let our petty differences dictate just where we are.
We separated church and state, we took God right out of our schools.
We point our fingers and judge and keep changing all of the rules.

Everyone was created equal, that’s a statement we seem to forget.
God loves all of his children and he doesn’t play favorites.
Whether you are gay, straight or transgender, black, white or red.
Jesus loves us all equally, don’t judge, just make your own bed.

None of us have the right, to pass judgement and force our beliefs.
We all will answer to God on the day he comes to debrief.
The next time you’re on your soapbox and look down your nose at me.
Remember you’re not alone, he’s watching and he can see.

5 Roses On Mother's Day

Soon after the prayer with the workers, a debrief
The bare facts stood out: Only one of my five were left!
Only if that person had asked, I might have shared a few
Later, as in nine hours after the act, "given to ailing moms"
Eager to forgive - for I have been favored much - I said so
Nevertheless, that U asked not, confessed not, till found out

Reduces your "brotherhood" as a fellow-preacher Kenny
Obviously I know the SHUTDOWN affects purchasing roses
Surely you knew you wanted to give roses to two mothers
Everyone plans for Mothers Day, not to take other folks' roses
Showcasing your generosity by giving away what is not your's!

NOTE: I have a video of the last ROSE standing ... and I may learn how to post it from my cellphone to www.PoetrySoup.com. Meantime, you have my WORD for this being a true story about my friend, Pastor Kenny, who coveted my roses (Gorgeous Wide Whorls, I must research the exact variety we have in the Eastern Cape of South Africa).

Weekdays are when most folks work,
With weekends set for rest
And so their spirits start to perk
As workdays have progressed.

When Friday rolls around, there's joy
And also some relief
That finally, at last, oh boy!
From work, they can debrief.

It's strange, but even once retired,
Fridays still rank high.
Though work-type stresses have expired,
All good thoughts apply.

For me, there is an added plus -
It's babysitting day.
Explaining is superfluous
If grandkids come your way.

Premium Member Flaming Autumn

A thrill of autumn debutant debrief
with row on row of bushes blooming red
releasing winds of change upon the reef
autumn bids her hues of mournful reds ;
the bristle pinecone clings to scented pine
and dances in the breeze then all around
as trinkets fall abreast time after time
the nutmeg earth rejoices without sound
in gentle motion earth's rotary stirs
fulfills the promise of a season's page
October and November breezy whirrs
find aim and turn their colors brown to sage
as cooler nights attend our entourage,
we welcome her by harvest's old adage.

Ask the Wise

Ask the morning that birthed Wise
He will tell he does not know
Ask him soaps and water that bathed his arts
He will still tell he does not know

Ask him the physical strength of man
He will tell is better in stadium
Ask him the spiritual strength of man
He will tell is better in decorum

Ask him about the century
And will tell it begins when he’s born
Ask him why it is so
And will tell his born is a century

Ask him to relate tales
He will tell more than you can tell
Ask him to tell you how he knows
He will lack coherence in what to tell

Ask him, the wise, to make you, like him
He will question the day that named him wise
Ask him to make you icon like him
He will debrief that moment world acclaimed him wise

Ask him about the future and the past
He will feel the cripple while he stresses
Ask him about the present time
He won’t speak all he cares to buttress

Ask him the nature of man
He will map out and strive to tell
Ask him of his position in the world beyond
The one he may not be able to tell
Ask him to tell you all about God
This one with clue he will tell
Ask him about his position before God
This one he will admit no man can tell.

Long day did finally pass;
toiled along vexing its morass.
Arrived back home to rest and retire;
energy and inspirations soon to expire.
Debrief my conceptions and thoughts;
queery my moves and those aught nots.
Lay at ease to stargazes and dreams;
job well done for me it seems.

Bless Me

My girlfriend made her bikini out of large farmer handkerchiefs,
She tied them tight with all her might hoping never to debrief.

A triangle here tied to a triangle there is all that keeps her covered,
And she looks so cute in her swimsuit that close to her I hovered.

I don’t have a cold this summer but I spend time praying for a sneeze,
So I can eye her while I enquire, may I borrow a handkerchief please?
