Cunningness Poems | Examples

The Stand

A man still in the darkness
Who has never seen the light
Is better than a man toying with darkness
From the vantage point of light

One knows and lives with the pain
The other sees his own injuries and bleedings
One only reaches for whatever to hold and retain
Another well sees the paths and their leadings

One a stickler for the ways of the ancestors
Better he who remains until he finds new conviction
Than he who tramples on God as one of the gestures
Of one feeling free of need for his accumulation

If the worldly want to keep their worldliness
With cunningness, insistence and assertion
Ye called by God's Name keep your godliness
With faith, the Word, assurance and meditation

Whoever know what to do and doesn't sins
Whoever lacks by rejecting knowledge perishes
Yes, endowment can come to one who gleans
And a gleam can lead to the light that virtue relishes

Premium Member Spring Will Soon Arrive

I know you will think of cunningness, as I am a fox.
Yet, I too suffer winter just like bats, cranes, or hawks;
I grow a thicker fur coat and creep into warm places,
I twist and push myself in my tail, and pass cold phases...!

My coat has been growing long and dense and heavy, and hard,
My walking and sleeping have turned as though on cold cloud yard;
My previously slim physique has, now, grown fat and dull,
Has my color mixed with snow and looks like that of a gull...?

My hunting has turned tough task, as I find it hard to roam,
As my border is set, no mice or mares approach my home;
I know, yet, all these are like a nomad's tent, tentative,
Your arrival soon, O spring, will be, sure, sustentative...!!!

The Sagacious Ancient One

Oh ye tortoise
The longest living land animals in the world
You who bear the weight of the world on your back and yet walks with a palatial gait
From your hovel, you watched the hills and valleys mate
The oceans and seas retreat
Large four legged beast extinct
And smaller two legged emanate
Oh ye tortoise
You who walk slowly but never afraid of a race
You who feel safe and protected in its own house
You who walk on your toes like an elephant
Discerning with your eyes almost like it's squinting
Oh ye tortoise
One of the world most amazing diggers
With front legs armoured with sturby scales
Adorned with your clandestine ears
Carvernous bladder like a cauldron
And brawny beak for shredding and grinding foods
For decades, you epitomized wisdom and cunningness
Unchanged since prehistoric times
Misconstrued for turtles
Still men can't seem to decipher your morphology.

A Dialogue With a Fox

I saw a little fluffy creature
You wouldn’t believe it’s nature
Because you are a human being
Who will probably label him as cunning

He swiftly gave me an inviting look
Which, is not what I read in the book
I went near him, he was very sweet
And told me things, that I should tweet

“Unlike your fellow human creatures
We don’t destroy our planet features
Killing your own , and all other species
Stealing, cheating and devious strategies
Those are the values caused by greed
Cunningness surely is a human creed”

“Don’t be upset, over my few words
I searched for you , among songs birds
Tweet all friends with this little message,
Help us, change our negative image”

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is but a show of self gratification
Portrayed by a deceiver to escape condemnation

To showcase self a being of virtue and righteousness
Every man would gladly play the two faced card of forgiveness

Yet the cunningness of forgiveness must be unraveled
For the selfish nature of man has made man crooked

To offer freely to a stronger person tolerance
Yet, from a weaker person for the same crime seek vengeance

Man has fine tuned the show of virtue to suit need
Placing priorities first upon what feeds his greed

The loyalty of men is forever bought by reason
With a changing appearance designed to survive every season

That a lion hunts not a galloping polar bear
Gives not a zebra the courage to dwell with him so near

The nature of man declares him not a blatant fool
For every man would sharpen first his most profiting tool

So if ever man is seen forging such show as he lives
Believe not in his words for only a fool forgives.

True Beauty

Then Wele Khakaba turned and spoke thus
True beauty is everlasting; temporary beauty is dust and is for a time
Thy judgment of beauty is an error
For thy yardsticks are looks, appearances, effects and proportions
Thy verdict of beauty is a mistake and booboo
For thy scale is shapeliness, loveliness of build and belle tournure
Thy conclusion is warped and misrepresented
For thy measure is physical charm, curvaceousness and sexiness
It is earthly delicateness, cuteness and earnestly cunningness
All earthly beauty is human makeups and cosmetics,
They are lip rouge, nail polish, greasepaint, clown white and mascara
True beauty is eternal
True beauty is what Wele Khakaba creates
I create for glory and for beauty that transcends
I do garnish the creation with preciousness
I create and do crown it with royalty
To show the peoples and the princes the essence of beauty
All my creations are fair to look on

Murumwa, one thing thou should have asked of me
That will thou seek after
That ye may dwell in the house of perfect elegance and delight
All the days of thy life
To behold the beauty of the Creator of creators
And to inquire in his sanctuary

Premium Member A Come Hither Cunningness

The greatest gift at Christmas is happiness
Delivered by a sweetie dressed quite scantiness
That's really all I ask
Perhaps wearing a mask
With an inviting come hither cunningness

Wise Men Truly Love

Wise Men Truly Love

Found myself finally at last
Out from dull and dingy past
Life crept by in front of my eyes
True love is only known by wise.

A globe so lazily spins upright
Sun by day and moon above at night
Caste their glow down upon this land
Wood's green trees and white beach sand.

Many people are friends but a few foes
With slanting stabs and cutting blows
Merciless shame and much cunningness
And joys of life these things they miss.

Guiding light is there before my feet
That shows way to the judgment seat
My own master won't be and am not
My God always to me means a lot.

Search will do and is what we must
Looking around sifting through dust
To find her how hard continue to try
Thousand deaths for her you would die.

She is only answer you ever will know
Because God Himself has told you so
Wise, fine men love but fools rush in
Which is why I know I will always win.

Destination of Two Birds

Two birds flying high up
In the infinite blue sky
Asked I
Where are you going?
What is your destination?
They replied
We want to go far
In the resignation
Away from the world of man
Bad company
Leads to a bad destiny
We wish we are not infected
With the inhuman traits
That human being
Has invented
We want to live in the world
Of love and affection
All truthful sensation
Faithful determination
Heartful compassion
Away from the envy, hatred,
Betrayal, selfishness,
Cunningness and temptation
If constant dropping
Wears the stone away
How can we save our
Soft loving hearts
From hellish decay
In the world
Where everyone knows
His interest best
Our feelings cannot rest
We will enjoy our being
Where there is no trace
Of a human being

Victim

The alluring eyes of the aggressor,
Blazing with anticipation,
As the victim awaits unknowing,
Slowly she steps closer,
The very senses of her thoughts,
Tingle within the bounds of her mind,
For the smell emulates,
Her pulse quickens,
The strike at any time now,

The victim he sits,
No sense of what is coming,
Unit his breath is gone,
Devoured by her beauty,
And her cunningness,

What I Want From a Partner

These are the things I look for in a life partner and the things that I make need to be
Happy and Harmonious......Pleasant so too speak....In my life..........
A partner who is kind spirited and not opiniative and judgemental.
A partner who is considerate and compassionate to all people and not jelouse and
self-centered.
A partner who is God willing and not relentless.
A partner with strength aquired from patiants and willingness and not cunningness
and pride.
A partner who is self-serviant and self-disaplined and not self-seeking and
unambisioned.
A partner who learns wisdom from regrets instead of teaching and implying
ignorance.
A partner with empathy and not self-pity.
A partner who is industrious and goal oriented and not lacking sweat from hard
work and the drive to optain those goals.
A partner who is humble and not complimentive and materialistic.
A partner who doesnt let oppression confine him from the things that he wants.
A man who is stronger then my faults and weaknesses, who will put it first on his
list to protect all women and children.
And lastly..........The ONE that will not let me fall from GRACE.
These things I do trust.

The Mirror

Mirror, mirror you are either friend or foe
There is no middle of the road for you
Your bluntness of the truth you perceive
Can be so cruel and even demoralizing
It can leave one afraid to face the world
Take away confidence
And can be the destruction
Of what could have blossomed into a good day
Your unkindness annihilates the onlooker
He retreats, wishing to start over again
Oh! but you have a much kinder side
One that leaves the onlooker
Feeling that they have cheated time
Not cheated in a sense that it is a crime
But rather a victory
A cunningness that outsmarts the Enemy
Reflecting beauty and poise
And a happiness that glows from deep within
From the truth you have revealed
The victorious will have a good day!
