This Color Is Mine

Let us dream for better days,
When different colors and different shades
Correlate into a beauty only diversity can show.
Our curls caressing the same wind,
The wind that calls for change.
Change—
Has it happened enough to cushion our pain?
We carry in our bosoms,
In our wombs
Til it grows so big it smothers rooms
Encapsulating our souls,
Til they turn a deep — deep blue.
But we shall rise as the sun shall rise.
And the tides of tears flown down our cheeks,
Fill rivers no man can deny.
We are light with room for every color.
But this color is mine.
A silent shelter passed down like treasure.
We don't cry — we whine.
Our hips grooving and moving the waves of change.
Yearning and churning—
For true change.
Stand with us as one.
In formation.
Hand in hand.
As we sing for equality to finally come.

214: Love Benef-eats Us Out

For the second time, to foresee everything that love commits
It is hard to see, where wrong and boundary correlate.
So burden would not be love; somber is just hard to translate
Unfortunately, it's hard to designate, that it may never be delicate

The first time, thought love transcends mortality and duration
Giving up is the hardest-- to fulfill the adjudication
I am foretold that love is a sacrificial lamb existence, more on
Moron that i could be the way I am treating the situation

Now it is the fourth time; I never heard of the third.
I skipped it, made of traumas like a herd
Shepherd-- me convincing every pieces, even it is blurred
Though, it is hard to find, my glasses broke, everything scattered

Now, I realized, the pattern is so specific
It looks like mentally challenging;horrific.
That, what I just remembered-- munific
What RIvermaya just performed is honorific

Though even I see that, love eats me out
Every love I fought just made my feet seethe with gout
It is for Rivermaya with no doubt
That narrative of genuine love, still works out

When We Fight

Sometimes, me and mine fight;
And I feel like I should just take a flight;
To either Toronto or Morocco,
Or Chagga or even Togo;
But I stay and forgive,
Because, I have come to believe,
In what we call love;
When, instead, we are stupid in love.
In any relationship, we have to tolerate,
Simply because our interests correlate;
This, one fresh in love may not relate.
He has slapped me several times before,
But that did not automatically make him my foe.
In these matters, we do not just get rid of the fragrance,
For it is one journey that requires a lot of patience,
Lest we lose it all due to our impatience!

The solar storms are flaring up;
Charged particles assault the earth.
Plasma distorts magnetic fields;
Effects are felt from Nome to Perth.

A syndrome targets human hearts,
Apparently, the brain as well.
Incredulous, the truth departs
Like dolphins, with a fond farewell.

The correlate, a new vaccine,
Not likely to be causing death.
The flares, more likely, it’s been deemed,
To stop the heart and steal the breath.

And too, the temps are on the rise,
Not flares, good guess, but fossil fuels.
The sun, indignant, they surmise,
Fires bow shots at this ship of fools.

If all will simply buy EVs,
Or better yet, a brand new bike,
The land will heal of this disease,
But mask and boost your little tike.

Do they not know a gaslight burns,
Releasing CO2 on high?
Although it’s likely they’ll not learn,
The winds of change are drawing nigh.

A somewhat tongue-in-cheek poem based on a silly Twitter post from NewScience (or a parody, who knows anymore) suggesting that the
increased Sudden Adult Death Syndrome is attributed to solar flare
activlty... Remember, everything on the interwebs is true :-)

Who tells if they'll be able to revive him.
Or supply him with an inactive light.
Or else foster biased goals that correlate.

Then why verse? I'll tell you almost my life.
With my sonnets, I'm here, in your abode.
What I write is my life; it is how I strife.

Yet my greed may have me quit my heaven.
However, the poised soul that will stay.
Since the hypothetical cosmos broaden.

Then I'll bestow you over to my right side.
I'm a poet, and you're who I write for.
No prominent front if you're not beside.

If I come to you in summer fields
full of fragrant bell-shaped flowers,
would you fly that I might follow
to watch you dance before your fellows
in floral-edged soliloquy.

With vibrant tempos fundamental
you turn and run and circle 'round,
find vertical inclination
to correlate the invitation
and fly the pathway now revealed -

Then come again to summer fields
full of fragrant bell-shaped flowers.

Note: Honey bees are the only known bee genus that uses nest-based communication to provide nest-mates with information about the location of resources, the so-called “dance language.” Successful foragers perform waggle dances for high quality food sources and, when swarming, suitable nest-sites.

Morning Prayer

While on phone church Covid style

While my eyes follow the line of the psalm,
I fret about a fixture of the day.
Something I forgot fills me with alarm
a distraction prompting a need to pray.
Listening to a reading from Isaiah
my eyes upon a woodpecker alight
as it stabs the nuts in the bird feeder:
a striking bird to fill me with delight.

God given senses bring all together:
Psalms and readings of scripture correlate,
interweaving the fabric of nature
with worry about a calendar date.
Pulling such diverse strands into the whole,
oblique is the way that prayer feeds my soul.

Rotting With Time

I cannot remember
The lips that I've kissed, why, when, and how.
I can't still recall
The number of hearts I've broken and the way they bled.

I cannot remember
The days I've lived, why, where and how.
I can't really imagine
The essence of my existence and when I will die.

I cannot remember
The chances that I have missed, why, when and how.
I can't reminisce
Why I tried to see when there was nothing in sight.

I can remember
The pains, betrayals, stabs and the wounds on my sensibilities.
They're easy to correlate
And I know I'm in prison because I loved and trusted with my soul.

In the Sea

I’m going to sea in a blueberry boat
sailing in frolic fun aiming no port.
Dear! Will you come with me to give support?
I wish to be close with my sweet – heart.

In a blueberry boat I’m going to sea.
to float in amorous flow not to flee.
to sink in depth of your blue eyes in glee.
I wish your closeness not to be apart.

My blueberry boat to swing, oscillate
         With propagating waves oars correlate
Our emotive urge not to vacillate.
Dear! Passion in plenitude to exert.

My blueberry boat will dance up and down
Pearly sea foam to adorn you with crown.
Don’t take as trivial or make frown.
To sea waves our commitment to impart.

We Will Fall If We Break Apart

We were friends from far villages
We lived centuries of no breakages
Our relationship was that of villagers
Before this century of political pillagers

We lived happily in our villages
And our culture was of no edges
Our togetherness was for ages
That would not have us in cages

The profundity of our thought
Should correlate to what we sought
For the togetherness is called unity
It’ll always give us love and liberty

We had our different names
But politics gave us another name
This administrative name wasn’t naive
So it shouldn’t make us to be too naive

We may need to go apart
But our spirits will never part
Leaving one another will be a departure
Of a man who takes unknown adventure

Note: researchers have found that when a honeybee searches for and finds a source of food, it will return to the hive and communicate to the other bees where the food is through a type of dance.

Last Poets

BY EZAR

12 o'clock midnight black and mild burning smoke my poetry is like surround sound talk
Iam nice with the speech lose my thoughts when I mentality speak
Look to the sky when I walk in these hood streets
Look in the mirror to the only reason I compete
Coming alive like trees in summer heat
Learn the difference between failure and defeat
Death and eternal sleep
My goal is to master and formulate my technique
If you surface level this probably seems too deep
Lyrical concrete leaving the average intellect a little rocky
I crash through life like white boys in hockey
Women cuddle men conquer is the philosophy
I teach when I release audomaticly
Mind frame elevated from living savagely
Add that to the fact that iam black now tell me what the math would be
Consciously switch my patterns to correlate with success
Eliminating povety and stress
Master alliances made up with field elites
Manifesting jewels through their teeth
Dodging the rules of the beast
We show and prove new school raising the litercy of the desased
Leaders of our own destiny no longer will we be sheep peace
