Conspicuous Stars

As I looked down the line
Conspicuous stars faded away
The suns gradually disappear
And black swallows further 
Every Glimmer Of Radiance
My sword is drawn
Struggle against resentment
Safeguarding the cosmos
And every single one of its inhabitants
Apathetically exposed to the left
Simple downtime now
Prior to the depravity of man 
recovers and reappears.

To rest with a chair
To work with a chair
To rule with a chair (throne) 
To conquer with a chair (throne) 
A chair is as conspicuous as
Its design
Its carving 
Its height 
Its equilibrium 
Its texture
And its weight
It is not that simple after all

Conspicuous Consumption

Conspicuous Consumption
Look at all I have
I've got money burning
In this power grab
Between the haves and have nots
I'm one of the haves
Enjoying this life of luxury
Sitting in its lap

Conspicuous Consumption
Take a breath and breath in deep
Take as many as you want
Although this stuff ain't cheap
Money is no object
It means nothing to me
Now that you ask, yes

Some conspicuous lice met once or twice  
With white follicle mites who came out at night
And an upside down tick who did magic tricks
That entertained maggots who shared roasted haggis
With pole dancing worms who wriggled and squirmed
Under Chinese mosquitos munching burpy burritos
Chasing cobwebby crickets selling counterfeit tickets
To shows where no sensible grubs want to

Raising thoughts denounce
this effort, stills my trounce,
ne'er for the absence of restrain
I hold back, my curtail of law's profane ~

This aura of content,
behind the scene, the crowd ~
file trading space, for parody of rent,
stifling with resolve, while backing down!

The character of poverty
stills renown!

Countless millions have
Only just enough to eat
Not all this
Selfish waste of
Precious resources and an
Idolatry of
Consumer goods
Uneeded for life,
On so-called time saving
Utliity.
Somehow, we've lost a

Conscious awareness
Of our true
Nature preferring to
Splurge into some imagined
Utopia through
Materialism leaving an
Ecological disaster from our
Rapacious
Spending to our grandchildren.
