Premium MemberMore than Enough to Last

I found a poem the other day
By someone I knew well,
A lady of grace and beauty beyond
Anything my mind could tell.

We were all but friends out on the fringe
Between true love and something less,
She was a princess from another world
And I, a pauper in distress.

She spoke like an angel from heaven
And didn’t seem to care at all,
That I was a wayward traveler
Hoping to be her bell at the ball.

We played tug of war with our feelings
Both giving and taking them back,
Always leaving my heart a ‘reeling
While I wondered how she felt about that.

But always did she answer
In a circuitous kind of way,
While giving a coy and curious look
As if wanting to dance and play.

Although delighted with our arrangement
Obligations spoiled the game,
As she was betrothed to another
And I a mere flickering flame.

As time ran out and she left me
A poem of pure beauty and class,
Saying “I’m sorry and always will love you”
And that’s more than enough to last.

Life is still being fair

Life is still being fair to every person
Walking all roads toward destination
No matter they are circuitous or plain
And mind not the yields joy or pain

Lives suchlike yours and mine appeared
As to be bracketed quotes of comments
Made by yet to be known forces we share
Once compiled as being a book presents
As seemed the most accurate words chosen
And the most vividly truth has explained

No matter they are circuitous or plain
Once visualized as being pictures shown
As seems the most reasonable lines drawn
And the most pretty colors are painted

It's the most common truths are recorded
And the most precious piece of arts coined
For us being together to read and comprehend
With thankfulness and loving feelings keen

Premium MemberFight the algorithms

Fight the algorithms
that tell us what to do,
to make us predictable,
unoriginal and bankable.

Have you witnessed how
increasingly bland and homogenous
our lives are becoming?

Choose freedom
avoid the diaries of commerce
that riff on the ubiquity of apps

resist the reductive tropes
of our published and circulated,
perspective customer identities.

Fight the algorithms
with their embedded back-lot
familiarity, built around class
and consumerism.

Try to understand the
vague, inscrutable and
purposefully circuitous.

Or stop overthinking
and embrace liberating surrender.
That’s the path I’ve chosen.

Premium Memberthe accused

the accused chose a circuitous explanation
it seemed to wander over under, around and through
then he added other explanations to explain the first one
we tried to follow his rationale but it was like running a maze
He never answered any of the questions directly
appeared evasive, and unsure about his whereabouts and such
the jury seemed tired of his duplicitous tactics and his wily ways
he was convicted of the crime
some did not know if he was guilty
but he was so unlikeable
they liked the idea of putting him behind bars

Premium MemberShip of Fools

On a ship of fools without direction,
Along a circuitous trajection,
Sailors from every land and nation
Drift not by chart, but hallucination,
And their lofty voices, at once speaking
A bit louder than the planks are creaking,
Floating forever on waves, so giggly,
Along a foamy blue course, so squiggly -
Or will their cruise end, as the surf goes splash,
And they laugh madly, while on rocks they crash?

Premium MemberCircuitous Routes To Finding This

Processes

Are sometimes

Disparaged because

There is no

Immediate revelation

Of This..

Until..it seems

The process itself

Is found to be

Already This...

(This is a poem relating to what is called non-duality. As are most others.)

9/22/2023

Just like the lake of melting wax, on a candle gives off light,
Life is not about championing the selfish, golden prize!
Hopefully, I stay thankful with all my earthy might.
And, pray that I may one day, be welcome to Paradise.

I know how circuitous and bizarre life can be on this earth.
There are bright poet-angels on this firmament to support you.
But you, poets, know how cherished you were since birth.
Through at time..others are so disingenuously untrue!

From me comes deepest, soul-aqueous blue, appreciation
Blessed by waterfall. lessons on life, I studiously learned.
      Transformations, not spigots of information.
And I know, you each will get all you truly deserved.

Often.
Sometimes.
I retract.
I crawl.
Like the snail
softly back within
Those circuitous silent depths
of my hollow shell.

Sometimes
The light be too bright.

"Behind gleams of sunshine, remember, there are dark shadows lurking"
                                                                          ~By Poet

At times, our heart becomes,
A labyrinth of dark thoughts

Letting no rays of hope in
Making our world seem a wilderness.
      Tangled with nettles and brambles.

The road we travel may appear circuitous,
Taking us nowhere, leaving us fatigued

        Sometimes weariness sets in
Like molten lead into our brain
        Sending out smoke and heat
        Like an overheated pan

Even the drops of consoling words
Instantly evaporate with a hiss
Causing scalding and burning.

         Downhearted we become,
         For reasons unknown!

Free Advice To Freely Revise

The Plump needs Enduring Exercise
To Excess Weight shed and check size,
I tell you: need to questions ask
For a just confronted task;
Navigator’s Compass arrange
For voyage that over seas range:
Your two legs straighten and back arch
Ahead of a circuitous March;

For The Anonymous Caller,
Calm Ears of one who is taller,
Priming them for Threats or Shy Love
To Caller: “You’re The One above!’’
Surely, one needs Balanced Diet
 For relevance in A Riot…

All these Free Advice to revise
And their testing a means devise.

Premium MemberA Lifes Journey

Mothers, fathers, and their children,
seldom share the exact same beliefs
No matter what their religion might be,
proving a child's relationship with their god
is no different than with a parent, odd

A youth’s peace of mind, his longing
for his place, a sense of belonging
The road is long, painful, and circuitous
A troubled childhood, school bullies, plague us

Dubious religious sects, false, he is their prey
Unscrupulous mental health professionals,
make the journey seem futile and tear him apart
Finding wisdom, purpose, and sense of belonging
are finally attained from lessons learned and taken to heart.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Psalm 19:1 of the King James Bible

Nature trip propels circuitous mountain trek
beckoning ascent toward zenith’s panoramic view
ushering footsteps along trails midst pine tree canopies
wafting freshness tranquility-redolence while sun-bursts peep
radiating hope as cascading crystals from water falls welcome my soul…

Reaching verdant summit transcending clouds
my heart basks at the firmament, exposed as azure canvas
painting fluffy cushion balls spreading cottony feathers and flakes
complementing hilly floral terraces glowing with golden and scarlet hues
for faith-filled gratitude that exalts the Creator Whose handiwork is perfect.

Bliss continuous, grace fortuitous,
renews it’s enlivening vibration
through pathways direct or circuitous,
entwining us with all of creation,
amplifying it’s joyful sensation.
As a receptor imbibing God’s grace,
all we seek is to see Him face to face,
being consumed by a burning yearning,
to ascend then thus at His chosen pace,
resisting not magnetic heat churning.

No Journey a To Zee

Life alas is a journey,
No straight, a line uncanny,
Nor straight, say from A to B,
But circuitous and Zany!

Pensioners, Come Tomorrow

What can it be if not ignited tension
Among retirees waiting for their pension
That weakly caters for their weekly ration
Their numerous legs, hundreds of suspension:
A carbon copy of the criminal’s in a police station.

Long, I’ve been watching their tired faces
And ceaseless circuitous paces,
All of them buffeted by the issued new orders
About which they wouldn’t tell others…

So, the Ministry won’t immediate payments be making
For the breath of relief they should be taking
And for long sitting on retirement seats,
occasionally their only nurses for roaring heartbeats
And varicose veins of legs deserving an apology.

The Ministry - for Goodness Heavens!-
can, herself, spare the Image of Black Ravens
with the firmest farewell to “Come Tomorrow” Announcements,
Often her making time-seeking searchers of misplaced documents.
