Notes About The Poem

Grateful For Each Breath

9/22/2023

Just like the lake of melting wax, on a candle gives off light,
Life is not about championing the selfish, golden prize!
Hopefully, I stay thankful with all my earthy might.
And, pray that I may one day, be welcome to Paradise.

I know how circuitous and bizarre life can be on this earth.
There are bright poet-angels on this firmament to support you.
But you, poets, know how cherished you were since birth.
Through at time..others are so disingenuously untrue!

From me comes deepest, soul-aqueous blue, appreciation
Blessed by waterfall. lessons on life, I studiously learned.
      Transformations, not spigots of information.
And I know, you each will get all you truly deserved.

This is a beauty! Yes, your thankfulness, and humbleness come out in poems like this; of course in a creative way. Sometimes it seems like a well written poem is a bit of paradise in itself. We're lucky! Please check soupmail.

Change is always good when we try our best to walk in God's footsteps. Not easy for many, but God is compassionate and loves those who transgress. A great poem with spiritual over tones.

Always great to hear from you!. Spirituality is written about by some poets here openly. I don’t know if God loves murderers or rapists. There is a special place for them unless they repent. But as you said, in sentence one, change is good when we walk in his footsteps . To which I will add…in humility. Thank you. Pangie xx
