Premium Member WALLS

Four beige walls
Streaked with yellow tar
Of too many smokes
Kerouac waiting with Brautigan on shelf
Once the mongrel beat
Long forgotten

And the jazz plays cymbals taps flare
Chaka boom chaka boom chaka boom
While 88's like crystal wail
To the beat baby babe
 To the beat

On the road to desolation
The vision spoke
Looking through doorways at mountains

The jack,man, the jack
Had this feel,ya'know
This running flow like jazz

Keeps coming alive
Chaka boom
Can't you feel it
Miles swings down dig

Walls that stain the darkness
THE TOKYO-MONTANA EXPRESS
We're all up on desolation
Lookin' down

The many quarters dropped
in the jukebox as you ran
in and out answering calls
demanding pushing cursing
out staff as I sat there pink
dress ain’t no body by Chaka
Khan if this world was mine
by Cheryl Lynn I still want my
refund wasting so many
quarters how dare you
the record spins then skips
it’s gonna take a miracle to
make me love someone new
who are you such and empty
bastard catering to empty
pockets mafia Frank put a
quarter in the jukebox ain’t
nobody you know this an yet
you bring important people to
play our song why what’s
the matter with you tell
your people I won’t be
controlled unless there is
smudge proof writing silk
sheets creating masterpieces
of new lyrics even then watch
yourself mister crescendo refrain
sing what’s love got to do with
it unexpressed unamused by
corruption besides you hear that
up tempo my favorite is still playing

Beyond

my destiny stems far and beyond

born with the spiritual

no need for a magic wand

within, ancient wisdom corresponds

people unintentionally fear the black swan

I’m a freedom fighter better than Flynn from the movie Tron

the force in me is strong, as I skywalk with Han

ideas constantly, sprouting like spawns

in my dreams I own a fast-pitch ball golden glove like Barry Bonds

driving eclectic rides and carry gadgets, 007 call me the female James Bond

taking down cruel empires more strategic than Ghenghis Khan

form a strong squad like the lions of Voltron

at times I begin to feel lost and withdrawn

it’s difficult trying to save a world,

when most of people don’t know they are pawns

I feel for them just as much as Chaka Khan

my hope remains alive from dusk til dawn

My Favorite Artist

My favorite artist
Is Chaka Khan
Her voice is mighty
And her lyrics are dope
Listening to her music
Makes you think
You're living the life of
The lyrics from her song
Your soul feels
Every word
Her powerful voice
Connects with the chords
Of your body and soul

A World Without Music

A world without music, is a life without inspiration,
music itself is inspired by every nation.
No jazz, no soul, no rock, I'd probably die,
no tunes in my ear when I travel and fly.

No sound when I drive, no euphony in quiet times,
nothing to hum or sing, no melodies of delicate chimes.
Why breakdance when there's no hip hop around,
why adidas, why freestyle, they'll be no radios about.

No music, no music, I cannot imagine -
A world without music will bring nothing but sadness -

A world without music, is a concert without felicity,
if I didn't exist, would music be missing me?
No African chants that touch my soul once heard,
no mezmorizing songs from those Kingfisher birds.

No Elvis, no Prince, no Chaka Khan or Sting,
no Miles Davis or Madonna, Tupac or Alicia Keys.
What would you dance to? There's no such thing as rhythm,
You'd be moving and moving, but with no music in it.

No music, no music, I cannot imagine -
A world without music will bring nothing but sadness -
