Premium MemberThe Master Builder

I don’t believe ideal love is real…
Can castles in the sky be built to last
eternities? Or rather burn, as fast
as marriage papers (and melt the holy seal)?

Besides, I hate to think I’m meant to steal
the blueprint to a fortress from my past
to use to plan my future, to forecast
the whim of winds who caren’t for mortal zeal?

Does there exist a Master Builder clever
enough to build a home that neither rots
nor suffers,—which fever may never sever?
Apart from high upon the playwright’s stages,
or daftly dancing in a daisy’s thoughts,
soulmates live alone on a poet’s pages

Bob the Builder

You apologize over and over,
Yet do it again cold shoulder.
In church every Sunday saying you’re a “righteous” man,
But at home you’re the devil’s right hand man.

It’s crazy how your so smart and calculated with liquor,
Yet you didn’t even graduate high school no paper.
You had jobs that paid well
Now you’re jobless cause of the lies you tell.
How foolish of you

When you were younger what did you want to do with your life?
It doesn’t matter because you’re just a man addicted to liquor.
You’re sick not just in the head but all over.
I hate giving you the cold shoulder.
But you caused this don’t try play Bob the builder

You can’t fix this.
You always ask what do you want for Christmas
You assume money.
But I want more than that I want my childhood back.

Gazing Through the Widow

“A window would really open up
The place”
The builder had said,
“Light up the room,
You know.
Gotta have something to
Bring in the light
Round here”
“Yes, yes,
A window would do fine”
My dearest replied,
So long ago.
And sitting here
At the window
So many years
After she had
Gone away from me,
I am reminded of her.
When the sun peeks its rays
Around the stoic clouds,
And as they make their way,
Through the panes,
Spilling onto the floor behind,
Past my tear-stained face.
As I remember
Her smiling face,
When she sat in the chair beside me
Looking out the window,
On days such as this.
And with empty-headed lament,
I draw the curtain
Across the window,
That was meant to bring light,
And happiness
Into our home,
But now only brings sorrow.

Premium MemberThe Little Cottage

The little cottage
Built by my beloved father
Is old and small
But loves begins here
And never ends
It carries on years after years
Wherever you go
You won't forget
It's like a magnet
It's like the force of gravity
It links to your mind and your soul
Buried deep in your memory
Even after it's vanished in a big fire
Even after its builder passed away
A long time ago
Love and memory do exist
Whenever a soul remains

Premium MemberCastle Builder

You bring whimsical words
of glittering, gold-filled escapades
and of sparkling star-dust dreams.
Dreams of gallant adventure and peril,
with a Don Quixote way of tilting windmills.

With God’s love binding our friendship
we delight in sweet fellowship.

Praying together midst His grace
hearts praise through Scriptures’ brace.

Exalting Christ in our venture
faith shows caring kindness- gesture.

Through your concern I’m edified
inspired steadfastly fortified.

Your passion for the Lord, glowing
fires me up toward peace-sowing.

Leading me to servanthood bliss
your example I cannot miss.

Grateful that you’re a precious gift
my soul is at peace by your lift.

Your testimony has me blest
along faithful stewardship zest.

Dear fellow life-builder, press on
your light does shine* from here to yon.

*Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

One Builder Saw a Sticker On a Freezer

One builder saw a sticker on a freezer,
Depicting the leaning tower of Pisa,
He grinned:- I can do,
Build such houses too,
With my skill make the lean very easy.

Premium MemberJesus the Bridge Builder

There's a gap between earth and heaven
so far separates this great divide
what can a man do for a remedy?
not a clue just like Adam go and hide

But God looks down from heaven above
sees His creation in such sinful mess
His perfect righteousness says it won't do
sinfulness corrupts so God can't bless

Only Jesus God's son could intervene
for He is holy no resemblance of sin
now could He become human as a man
making Himself God and man out to win

Now Jesus took man's ultimate place
where sin is nailed on two pieces of wood
but the saviour put Himself to the tree
took our sin paid it completely by His grace

Jesus built His bridge over sin
so sinners find God's perfect way
to cross over satan's dirty river
salvation comes to those who pray

(Quote:
Only Jesus could build a bridge to heaven with just two pieces of wood)

The Expert Bridge Builder

This expert who lives with all men
builds bridges all over landscapes
without cement and mortar he does it
there are no engineers at the site

The sites have no flowing rivers
the river sources are not from landscape
but he constructs awesome bridges
across imaginary rivers and lakes

This expert bridge maker is not dreamer
he creates rivers and piles clay
rivers from waters of men and women
and clay from debris of river donors

Rivers no ships can sail with passengers
the waters that come not from clouds
but the bridges are there anyway
that men can know someone lived to hate

N-one else but he alone who truly braved the horizon.

M-an of good leadership,
A-ll he did was free his country from cry;
N-ew dawn broke and smiled,
D-ay eighteen in warm July.

L-ife of him was fraught with struggle;
A-ctivist, lawyer and philanthropist, he was the nation builder.

Bob the Builder

Under all the damage I've caused
There is a reason
And I didn't mean to leave this mess for you to clean
But you are the only fixer in this world
That can make it better
Beginning with the chain connecting me and you

Bob the Builder

He’s known as Bob the Builder
But soon we must say farewell,
He says it’s time to leave
And so to this we wish him well.

What shall we do without him?
How will the work get done?
Because he does the work of several
And still he makes it look like fun.

So before we say goodbye
It’s important to understand
He’s not just Bob the Builder
To us he’s Bob the Gentleman!
