The Little Cottage

The little cottage
Built by my beloved father
Is old and small
But loves begins here
And never ends
It carries on years after years
Wherever you go
You won't forget
It's like a magnet
It's like the force of gravity
It links to your mind and your soul
Buried deep in your memory
Even after it's vanished in a big fire
Even after its builder passed away
A long time ago
Love and memory do exist
Whenever a soul remains

Forty years ago, I helped my father build a cabin - you are correct, there are many fond memories tied up in such - and much of what I know about building things, I learned at his side. Thanks - nice memories!
