Premium Member Bolder Beholder

As he rested upon my delicate but strong shoulder.
I realized beauty is truly in eyes of the beholder.
I also realized for him I am willing to be bolder.

The Dry Ice of November
David J Walker

There was
 once a time
dead leaves devoid of pallor
Were raked into a
a mound of pyre
Great heaps dissolved
In a funeral fire
Releasing the last of
What they were
Into the Autumn air
The scent of
dry November
from a distance
announced everywhere
Then
The cold
	Seemed that much
Colder
And the November sun
	Much less bolder
Returning so much later
	In the morning East
Dissolving sooner in the
Evening West

The dry ice of November
A precursor
To the winter

Nights of lovin' grew wilder and bolder
Like riding upon a roller coaster
Till fed up one night, the dear lady said
"Please get a carpet for beneath this bed."

"Oh why's that then pet" her hubby replied
A beaming smile on his face a mile wide
"Don't you enjoy having a slippy-slide"
The grin slowly beginning to subside.

"It's when we reach up to them dizzy heights
I get to see blinding flashes of lights
Making me giddy and queasy as well
It's fast becoming an almighty hell."

Dreaming of some magical carpet rides
Flying over the highways of the skies
Hubby instantly granted the wife's plea
And bought a carpet spontaneously.

Pleased with himself and feeling rather smug
He'd be bringing back the wife's mood for love
Wild images came to mind thick and fast
Even envisioned getting carpet rash.

Came the day that the new carpet was laid
And what a price the poor hubby had paid
No more frolicking around the bedroom
'Twas end of a long romantic honeymoon.

The music had died, the nights they drew dim
Hubby's hopeful dreams were fast getting slim
Wife's passion had gone away with the wind
Yet, she loved her carpet above all things.

Villanelle : It's all been said said better and bolder before

It's all been said said better and bolder before
Worse now most repeat over and over again
No shibboleths now to test smooth words more hollow

Those who trouble not to delve into sages yore
Make not but weak links in the derivative chain
It's all been said said better and bolder before

Those who toiied without e'en recompense for valour
Toiled for insights ripped out of seething guts in pain
No shibboleths now to test smooth words more hollow

Homer Murasaki Valmiki Boccaccio
Gilgamesh Beowulf Pillow Sei Shonagon
It's all been said said better and bolder before

How much the " creative " writing courses ignore
Those whose suffering wrought talents in deep dungeon
No shibboleths now to test smooth words more hollow

The reign of digital maths spells poiein woe
Business minds now serve as mid-wives during birth-pain
It's all been said said better and bolder before
No shibboleths now to test smooth words more hollow

Bright and Bolder

Bright and Bolder

We have heard someone bright and bolder
Will always end up being the best soldier
Sure Shines a lot,
And a great shot;
Will remain in their spirit even when older.

Bolder She Is a Clemency

On the wings of her 21th derail
Of Shakespearean and Vigil's asked thee her name
Who is she?
Bolder she is a clemency!
Of her atoms glowing her frontier
Arena's of fortune teller
Seized no name
But she's living now in literatus gleam
She the metaphor and irony
In expressive ways of stylistics
Carry herself like Atlas above all ages
And yes bolder she is a clemency!
She the five foot iambics scheme
Thats her height in rhythym
When she'll be the ancient?
Of William's midsummer nights dream
The Iliad of an epic events
Calling her to a narrative scenes
Believe her in
Bolder she is a clemency lies within.

Natures Bolder Caress

Glimmer so fine with colorized finesse.
Colors define, devour the minds of men.
These stones do tell nature’s bolder caress.
Colorific rainbow designs begin.
Multifaceted placement releases stress.
Bringing peaceful blessings for each ones sin,
These stones of all sizes lying at rest,
Show glorious landscape yielding its best.

"my Over the Shoulder Bolder Holders"

"My Over The Shoulder Bolder Holders"

so close to my heart, we four could never part
with pounds of mounds in hand
you tightly redirect, to up stage a grand plan, to enhance, uplift & separate
oh! Yea! that feels so great?

your my pal, my good friend. my best-est confident
only you know, how low the valley really go
and high, the pecks on the mountains run deep
and down and down...

but... its not that i would ever? complain!
but your hugs are driving me, In·sane
i can barely breath

not that we could ever part
because without you, there would be, a cold place right by my heart
and the mounds of old would fall apart
and bounce to their own swing

so hug me, Brassiere as you will
we four the bra, the twins, and me
will be the best of friends till the bitter end
and by than i could be to old to even care?

Never Bolder

In my heart is where I keep,
All my love and devotions,
All the notions of what could be,
But what we will never see,
Is the emotions of others,
The true thoughts of our,
Fathers and mothers,
The condescending feelings,
Of our sisters and bothers,
We fear what others may think,
That what we hold dear,
May seem obsolete,
Somehow we think our,
Viewpoint is unique,
So we seek an outside solace,
To love and consol us,
When we're older,
We make walls, become colder,
When we fall, there is no holder,
So I wait leaning on no shoulder,
Shattering like glass,
And forming away from the mass,
While never the bolder...
