Motionless Devotion - Sequel To Motion In Devotion
Nights of lovin' grew wilder and bolder
Like riding upon a roller coaster
Till fed up one night, the dear lady said
"Please get a carpet for beneath this bed."
"Oh why's that then pet" her hubby replied
A beaming smile on his face a mile wide
"Don't you enjoy having a slippy-slide"
The grin slowly beginning to subside.
"It's when we reach up to them dizzy heights
I get to see blinding flashes of lights
Making me giddy and queasy as well
It's fast becoming an almighty hell."
Dreaming of some magical carpet rides
Flying over the highways of the skies
Hubby instantly granted the wife's plea
And bought a carpet spontaneously.
Pleased with himself and feeling rather smug
He'd be bringing back the wife's mood for love
Wild images came to mind thick and fast
Even envisioned getting carpet rash.
Came the day that the new carpet was laid
And what a price the poor hubby had paid
No more frolicking around the bedroom
'Twas end of a long romantic honeymoon.
The music had died, the nights they drew dim
Hubby's hopeful dreams were fast getting slim
Wife's passion had gone away with the wind
Yet, she loved her carpet above all things.
