“What is needed is a Guru, a Savior, who will awaken us to Bhakti (devotion) and to perceptions of Truth.”

The divorce rate has sent my self indulgent,
millennial heart into a tail spin,
and I'm unsure if love can subsist,
although I find myself lost on cloud nine.
What's the square root of two?
I bet it's not unity.
My brother made a run for the hills, chasing
metallic, white powder that was more enticing
then life could be.
I followed after him. Hopeful, yet stagnant.
In the end, I wish I could see him again,
but my poor millennial heart is lost
in how many likes I can get,
and bhakti chai tea.
Remember how Mufasa died?
I'll have better luck with strangers.
I haven't chased my brother since the last attempt.
I don't want to keep climbing back up over the ledge.
So keep smashing that bottle of your favorite,
cheap McCormick's over the head of your least
favorite employee, while mocking the rest of us
for our lack of ethic in the work place.
We only just spent thirty-five thousand dollars to earn a piece of paper,
saying we can do what we don't have experience in.
My poor millennial heart.
Prejudged, but I'll keep my head down,
so I'll never have to hear about how bad
socialism,
immigrants,
or Planned Parenthood is,
ever,
again.
God is like infinity Ocean
Though He is not seen
Can be felt with holy Bhakti
In the fleshy heart green
Being with all everywhere
No and nothing can touch
In nothing even being there
He is biggest much
He sees the whole Universe
We hardly see our world
He never separates us
Our innocent mind gets whirled
note:- Bhakti means total surrendering respect to God
when I pass away
and my earth body explodes
beneath me
like a supernova
and with it all my penchants
obsessions, desires and experiences
only one question, one truth
remains nailed to the crucible
“Have you learned to Love?”
“Have you learned to serve without
expecting anything in return?”
at the center of that heavy cross
we carry through many life times
“has the rose of pure love and oneness blossomed?”

At the gates of Heaven
I sit and sing Your praise
Where is Maya now?
when the only sound my mind
can hear is Hari Nam
My sari a silk prayer flag
flutters in the tranquil breeze
pastel blue, pink
and yellow hues of Prashanthi
abode of highest peace
Listen manas to the music
timbrel, flute and harmonium
they too sing the glory of God
Still we must be vigilant
our hands continuously harvesting
the bliss of selfless service
our thoughts, words and deeds
a divine mala on which we
incessantly chant Hari Nam
Eternal Companion
old habits die hard
and charming snakes with
golden hoods
rattle in the ghostly shadows
Hold me closer, Ancient Self
tighter still...steal my breath
So...so that I am blue skinned like
You
And when the ways of the world
have passed away
Scatter my ashes...vibhuti stars
all along the Bhakti path
In shimmering ebb of
evening's closing tide
I kneel and kiss
Your jeweled footprint
above a trillion super stars
illumine the temple dome
and a crescent moon floats
near the crown of my head
I've forgotten my name
and the way home
long ago washed out to sea
there is no existence apart
from You
I wander the dazzling shoreline
a cobra draped around my neck
I am Shiva
the thousand petaled One

My heart is a celestial bedroom
where my Lord hastens unto me
I have placed a garland of stars
around his neck
and pierced His ears with the honey moon
His skin is anointed with the
fragrance of Love
and His feet are the only pillows
my head cares for
when He smiles my life finds
inner meaning and dances about
like a giddy lovestruck maiden
drunk on His holy name
