Whatever dunks your donut

A ditz like me writing for a freakin’ contest, no less!!!??
You gotta be kiddin' me !!! Holy fricassee!!
No Way. Jose' !! I'm such a space cadet....OMG !! I’m spazzing out!!
Well...geeze, then..... like, I get this head rush...
I'm getting majorly stoked, ya know?..Like...maybe I’ll give it a shot?...
Still...ya know..., whaddif I, like, totally bombed it!!? OMG!!
I mean, like, ya know how all them other poets?...
Well....like they are so classic...like, ya know?...so awesomely rad!?
Like... say, they eyeball mine, and bustin’ up, they scream…
"Gag me with a spoon?!! CHECK OUT THIS FREAKIN’ GROSS POEM!”
Well,what the hay,.... ..no biggie, guess it wouldn't such a bummer...
yeah......well, shoot, they can call me a loser......who gives a rip??
So, I figure, like ....Whatever, dude!!
Okay, now, I'm totally pumped,...ya know?

(and be sure....this isn't how I normally talk LOL !!)

When two choose each the other
Having decided this, their fate
A bond, a pledge, a vow replaces
That which, unchosen, cannot wait
Even when it requires a warrior resolute,
Vitality deathless, and sacrifice continuous,
Eternal must the pledge be, or
Risk betrayal's scourge sinuous.
It is at the pit, against the fiery horde
That Absalom dulls the finest sword
This is what it takes to stand at my side
Antagony to injustice is my cause
Knell my soul to abandon, divide
Eidetically my failure would resound, preside
Sorcerous dreams expounding my flaws.
Indebted to peace, yet still facing war
Soliloquy sweet, punished yet more.
When the lashes pernicious slander my spirit
Have you the stamina to fight weaponless, naked?
Ardently ask the goddess Irit
That throughout the nightmare, you survive unwakéd?
Impassioned, immortal, immoderate, rhetorical
Would you, could you, if so, should you?
Illusion or real, my fight is defense
Leave destruction behind
Lose selfish pretense
Give willingly blood to the unjust blow
Impatiently wait the night for the dawn
Vicious dark creatures attack love's glow
Effervescent, they dissolve at the light, and pass on.
Because violence feeds violence, and hate cannot withstand love's rapture.
When I talk to you, I'm talking to the wall.
A born lioness my untamed heart? ha!
Whatever happened to breakfast, lamented French Toast
People love me, gushing with syrup, I used to boast
But now my brand is flat as a pancake
~ as popular as a post-Halloween ghost
A dozen eggs beat back tears as they sat in a box
while patrons flocked toward the cream cheese and lox
Once a staple of a sound start to the day
~ now bagels and doughnuts hold sway
There there's whole milk and butter
lovingly culled from Betsy's best utter
Given way to that nebbish 'skim milk' and oily margarine
~ at their pale appearance I just shudder
But at least I pack my children a solid lunch ~
Peanut butter sandwich, corn chips, and twinkies to munch
[SIZE=5][B]Reaping Whatever Dark Gods Decreed[/B][/SIZE]
Did we dare too much thus reap the bitter wind?
Dark, greedy days creep by, our lives grown far apart
Is this how such treasured and deep love dares to end?
Like cast away trash in a street beggar's cart?
Did we fail, reaping whatever dark Gods decreed?
Penny a ton, garbage flowing into a dump?
Nay my love! We both found our lost, bitter seed.
Fallen from a well-worn, broken treeless stump!
Why did we abandon the blazing heat of our lust?
Step into dark regions to satisfy morbid dreams.
We are thus decayed, our metal eaten with rust.
Joined Fates, destined to be on separate teams!
Yet my love, all you had to do was believe in me.
We both sharing truth from the same golden tree.

Old Note-- Life carries on, I find solace in wild woods,
whiskey and memories....( Sept 16th, 1976 )
New Note-- Hope and Fate have conspired to let me live to see
that youthful woes, follies and exciting life sought are the makings of sadness
that teach one must no stray too far from the LIGHT! ( 6-07-2016 ).
WHATEVER, WHEREVER, WHENEVER!
Imagine what goes through
Our minds in one day,
Perhaps millions of thoughts
I would dare to say!
A complex computer of
Crisscross wires,
Our brain surely sometimes tires!
And if ever in doubt
About whatever,
I say, Hey Google,
She comes to my aid,
With answers galore,
She’s centrifugal.
We are so absolutely techno,
More complicated our
Lives than less so!
I touch a button and order a pizza,
A sandwich or whatever,
Had this ever been the case,
In years gone by from wherever?
We travel to work every day
And take a weekend off to relax
But remember on the way,
We didn’t pay our monthly tax!
Arrive at destination, damn
We forgot Uncle Bob’s 90th birthday
Can’t phone him till tomorrow,
Battery has died on the way!
Oh no, he will never forgive us,
To my husband I say,
As I suddenly spot a leopard
With his kill in a tree, hurry!
We forget Uncle Bob, I know you
Have you guessed where we are,
At the Kruger Park, we came to relax,
But it’s really far!
We decide to forget everything
And promise each other we will,
When my husband says,
I short paid the cashier at the till.
Well that garage knows us well,
We will pay her whenever,
Incidentally, he said that last poem
You wrote is rather clever.
SWITCH OFF we simultaneously say ,
We are on holiday,
Our brain needs a break
Even if we think we don’t,
But we both know we won’t!
I write upon the fluttering pages of your mind
You'll wear my mask until you die?
Words like these make me cry
Whatever are we getting vaccinated for?
~ Not to withdraw from the world more!
smell the roses once in a while
fall in love a couple of times
live your life with generosity
never lose your awe
find your true North Star
be as brave as the Lion
paint, write, sing,
do whatever makes you happy
Whatever sin you commit
do it diligently
Whatever promise you make
count the costs
Whatever love you commit to
include some degree of deception
Whatever ambition you have
pursue as a lunatic
Futile is the sun to a heart in awe
