Whatever, Wherever, Whenever

WHATEVER, WHEREVER, WHENEVER! Imagine what goes through Our minds in one day, Perhaps millions of thoughts I would dare to say! A complex computer of Crisscross wires, Our brain surely sometimes tires! And if ever in doubt About whatever, I say, Hey Google, She comes to my aid, With answers galore, She’s centrifugal. We are so absolutely techno, More complicated our Lives than less so! I touch a button and order a pizza, A sandwich or whatever, Had this ever been the case, In years gone by from wherever? We travel to work every day And take a weekend off to relax But remember on the way, We didn’t pay our monthly tax! Arrive at destination, damn We forgot Uncle Bob’s 90th birthday Can’t phone him till tomorrow, Battery has died on the way! Oh no, he will never forgive us, To my husband I say, As I suddenly spot a leopard With his kill in a tree, hurry! We forget Uncle Bob, I know you Have you guessed where we are, At the Kruger Park, we came to relax, But it’s really far! We decide to forget everything And promise each other we will, When my husband says, I short paid the cashier at the till. Well that garage knows us well, We will pay her whenever, Incidentally, he said that last poem You wrote is rather clever. SWITCH OFF we simultaneously say , We are on holiday, Our brain needs a break Even if we think we don’t, But we both know we won’t!

Hi Anisha, So good to hear from you and thanks for the visit - computers versus human - the never ending debate - Hugs, Jennifer.

It's very clever the way you compare the computer to the human brain. A valid comparison - computers have memory and make calculations. Your poem had me thinking that in the future computers might do even more, like cook our meals and clean our homes. Also enjoyed looking up Kruger Park to see the wildlife images there. Great work, Jennifer! Hugs, Carolyn

The kruger Park is our getaway , have written many poems about animals and our holidays in the Kruger Park - will soup mail you. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

AHH, once a couple shots of whiskey helped me turn my brain off to sleep, and a day at the beach helped relieve my stress. Now I forget where the whiskey is I keep and my jumbled up hectic day becomes a mess! Loved this high spirited and jovial trip taken with you and your fine verse my friend. A fav...

This was exhilaratingly fun, a ride through random twists and turns of entertaining life bits that I thoroughly enjoyed. The rhyme held, the topic intelligently scattered and, in the end, delivered much of matter. Great job. I felt like I was frolicking through a joy-filled therapy session! Loved it, I did. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Absolutely, and so drastically needed but no one to blame but ourselves! Our one son finishes jis exams in July and becomes an opthalmic surgeon, it has been a long haul for him, - we all plan to go on holiday to the coast together with our other son and his wife, he is a journalist and editor. We really are looking forward to the break! Hugs and blessings - Jennifer.

A masterful write Jenny, yes I think it's an age thing! I know for if I don't do something when it's in my mind or write a note to remind me it won't be done. I really enjoyed this so much and glad you enjoyed Kruger park. Blessings, Gordon

Perhaps it is an age thing my husband also says so, but I also think that we clutter our minds like we clutter an attic with unwanted items, which in time will once again find their place - either way my friend those breaks are really goooooooooood! Best wishes and hugs, Jennifer.

You will have to come over here and train me or I will have to come to you! Everybody in the family continually tells me, to no avail, perhaps there is some course I can take - a quick fix! Thanks for a lovely comment. Hugs dear soul sister, Jennifer.

This is both enjoyable and witty, Jenny:) Google should have been the name given to Aladdin's magic genie! I wonder at times how our mind manages to cope with all the things we squash into it, and then we expect it to solve them all for us. ~ Warm regards & hugs // paul

I feel that sometimes my head wants to explode Paul and as for my sleep, that is certainly lacking - need to take a three week holiday for sure, all these small breaks just make us more tired. Warm regards and hugs Jennifer.

Thank you we did Lindsay and glad to see you back! My brain sometimes goes into overdrive and that's when we know we must have at least a three day break. Between our small but busy business and my poetry, I sometimes work myself ino a real tizz! Best wishes, hugs, Jennifer.

This is such a rip-roaring howler, Jennifer. It gets funnier with each line. Love it. Such a back-and-forth comedy of botching and/or forgetting things...Whatever!---at all times---Whenever! and everywhere we go or find ourselves---Wherever!... A great example of how technology is turning humans into utter morons. Reverse evolution right in front of our eyes. Wouldn't be surprised to see our brains growing smaller soon, and/or limbs shrinking from lack of use! 2 thumbs way up! :) gw

Thanks Gershon you like my poem twice as much LOL. How would we write poetry if our brains got smaller? I remember seeing an odd movie can't remember the ending but do remember that he was a scientific experiment and got younger instead of getting older and he reached as far back as becoming an infant - scary! We just don't know how and when and where we should relax, our brain goes into overdrive - help stop the world I want to get off - on second thoughts no! Hugs, Jennifer.
