Unraveled Mind

The stitches begin to unravel
               The seams are tearing apart
                     Arteries bursting within a heart
                           Through insanity the mind travels

          Unable to grasp the sincerity
                Through a kaleidoscope of fears
                      Drowning within rivers of tears
                            Thoughts no longer have clarity

           Living like a garden vegetable
                       Dreaming of being an intellectual

Premium Member Ukraine-Unraveled By Dirty Cats

the sugar-coated jasmine sigh
breeds jealousy - bellicose-blue sky.

sunflowers vastly disappear in ash -
the yellow beauties pure joy
immortalize in dearth.

Brutes, take your hands off the yellow-blue flag!
Townsfolk stand tall with vultures' dissection.
They hide their pride in each cranny and crag.
Beasts never share in Ukraine's affection.

blue and yellow twine
unraveled by dirty cats -
shadows in darkness

Death Unraveled

Life’s greatest mystery
is Death –
It’s not God,
It’s not Soul,
It’s not the heavens
Or the laws of Nature.

The inevitable end
to our existence,
The only sanctuary
from the rigors of life,
The final destination
to our life’s journey;
No matter which way
you traverse,
You are bound
to end up dead!

Life is like riding a horse
without you holding the reins
Or your feet in the stirrups,
Like driving a car
without your hands
on the wheels
Or your foot on the brakes;
It’s like taking a
roller coaster ride
over a route of steep
inclines and sharp turns
with the prospects of
all the thrills and
heart-stopping descent!

Death is life’s greatest miracle –
The Absolute, Irrevocable Truth;
Your only road to salvation,
A portal to the soul’s
ultimate metamorphosis!

Ha, give me death any time,
For life exacts harsh wages,
Life for once might abandon you
But death,
It will always stand by you!

Premium Member Unraveled Seams of Frayed Dreams

With blade sharp tongue his words stung
with the pain felt when funeral hymns are sung.
In a mournful voice, off key of course,
as was his choice in the way he spoke to me.

I was blind not to foresee
the dagger that soon would be
plunged deep into my pulsing heart.
His committed sin could not be expunged,
for rivers of blood drained from my eyes.

There was no fairytale disguise
to silence my sighs or hide my fears.
Tears were what I used as thread
to try stitching closed the tattered seams
for now, shattered and frayed are my dreams.

There was no bewitching magic elixir
potent enough to be a fixer that could mend
the once upon a time love story of he and I.

                                                       ~ The End

*old pains have healed from apologies made and accepted.
Perhaps his sin has been expunged by the hand of our judge.

Unraveled the Sundress Poem Contest

It was the beginning of a summery season,
In that beautiful dress, adorned with baby blue and pink
Opened back, opened toe sandals; she gave me a wink
That sundress took my breath away, I wanted to say "hello" but lacked a reason

My Ancient Soul Unraveled

i tried to ignore the dreamy steps
with their gapping eyes staring,
undressing me until no flesh
is left, nor bones.

Life.

Again, i tried to ignore
the sound of a train-like roar
as this soul of my own
walks the cracked broken rails
of living this citrus -orange life

of picked Memories,

like the ink that enchants me
as though each character strung-out
is as a pearl necklace with a
hint of ocean's salty tears,
and no longer a need to ignore.

As i watch, i caught the grand sight
of my ancient soul unravel as flotsam
and spirit as jetsam into that mystery
we deeply have begged to know!

I select you.

Premium Member Cat O'Nine Lives Unraveled Thrice

Why does your cat only have nine lives?
The cat o'nine whip has three strands
Plaited cords unraveled thrice
Nine to three, three to three.
Cat plays bold for three
Strays for next three,
Stays in for
last three

trickling streams   enlist fingers stroke
translating silent stares script air bubbles

soul skirmishes dying   and breath twitches
her amort jabs shatter blind eyes

soft breaths   linger aphonic   sighs
surfboarding alongside rocky creeks

you wish to decry me with   metaphors
whispered secrets   shared solely betwixt us

words untied    weighed by fireflies glow
bemoaning to aurify   amid fiery   solar flares

hoping for air in a pathless stream
let me shed words from   balm of dry lips

you said that   you might catch them

I've seen the way a glass dances, though
slips through your fingers   and shatters

I hear a forlorn violin   pluck its strings
catacombs lurk in a hollow cage

when it beleaguers, it wails and shrieks
an uncaged spirit walks with a dog

left, just a beshrew echo in a silent world

Unraveled

In the depths of his mind, a guy in enigma
Wandered through the haze of his own confusion
He had lost his way, and could not find his place
He searched for answers, but only found more questions
Lost in the labyrinth of his own thoughts
He felt as though he were a ship adrift on stormy seas

He had always been a man of mystery
But now, his mind was wrapped in an enigma
He couldn't make sense of his own thoughts
And his heart was filled with confusion
He longed for clarity, for answers to his questions
He searched for a way out, for a path to a better place

But even in his darkest hour, he felt a trace
Of hope, a light in the depths of his mystery
He knew that he must find the answers to his questions
And break through the veil of his enigma
He longed to be free from the chains of his confusion
To find his way back to a familiar place

And then, one day, he saw her face
His lost lover, who could show him the way to a better place
He felt a surge of hope, and his confusion
Began to clear, as if lifting the veil of his enigma
He knew that he could solve the mystery
And find the answers to his questions
With her by his side, he felt a sense of calm and grace

As they walked together, they found a new place
A home, where he could finally put an end to his confusion
And answer all of his questions
He was no longer lost in the enigma
But had found a way out, thanks to his lover's mystery
He knew that he would never forget the lessons he had been taught

Now, he looks back on his past with a sense of wonder and thought
Knowing that he had found his place
And solved the riddle of his own enigma
With the help of his lover, he had overcome his confusion
And finally unraveled the mystery
That had plagued him with so many questions

And so, he lives now without any more questions
But instead, with a sense of gratitude and thought
For his lover, who helped him solve the mystery
And led him to his rightful place
No longer lost in the enigma of his own confusion
But free to embrace life and its enigmatic grace.

What It Seems; Seams Unraveled

I’m finally growing up; I realize
Real eyes can recognize these real lies

Lies he, in a landscape barren
Bearin’ a false teachin’ he believed in.

Deceived by these elders, he felt like the bait
Bate the result as they betray the whole class of '08
Ate the lessons; trusted; left awed
Odd how you long to go back, sidestep the façade.

Fraud; caused his mind to alter
Altar of this education abandoned; falter.

Faltered, for as he appraised
Praised then, all of the knowledge he gained.

Drained; an opinion he lacks
Lax for years but now he’s on track
Track wisdom; has a mental axe
Acts as a way to crash walls, fight back.

Knack for writing, it became peace
Piece of heart in each written-release
Release stress; negative cease
Sees in a new light, consciousness increased.

Impeach his old ways and his mind state
State his ideals through wordplay.

Sure cliché, but this is my chance
Chants that make a difference from my stance.

Unraveled Seams

Rejections feared
That have come true
My heart’s been seared
Romantic coup
All hopes and dreams
They fade away
Unraveled seams
Begin to fray

Eyes wide open
Still not seeing
Always hopin’
And believing
I will collapse
I fall apart
There’s left no chance
For lonely hearts

When waves crash down
A sight to see
You weren’t around
They crashed on me
The setting sun
It waves goodbye
You were the one
That made me cry

Unraveled

I've been waiting for you for quite a while
Though when you resurfaced I was unable to smile

I was tangled up in a web of lies
with the one I needed to say goodbye

His grip was strong as he held me tight
Blinding me; I could not see your light

The day arrived when I came to my senses
Letting go of all past defenses

I washed away all of my sins
Now I am ready to begin

I needed time to heal my heart
That is why we could not start

Time was my friend throughout this trial
It sure was indeed, all the while

I am free now to pursue
whatever I wish myself to do

I am secure, I am for real
Let's go ahead and make our deal

There are no tricks, only treats
Therefore we'll endure any defeats

Let the past be forgotten
Failing relationships, it makes us rotten

Communication is the key
For me for you, you for me

I long to hold you close, hold you near
making all your nightmares disappear

I always wondered what we could be
Me inside you, you inside me

I love you more than you could ever know
So let's get started and give it a go!

Unraveled

I could fill a bottle with air,
sunken by liquid depression.
A matter so densely populated.
by false hope and worthless thoughts.

I cower to my need to feel this way,
for this was the path I chose.
and this is the shoe I must eat.
God be damned, and I damned me.

So yes, I'll be having another,
and another, and another,
until the floor quakes.
under the pressure of shattered glass.
and the walls give in to my blows.

And F you for saying a word to stop me.
Don't you know who I am?
You are the son of Adam,
and I am the afterbirth, less than.

Earth can't decompose me.
because I don't deserve the mercy of death.
So, my heart will pump and my liver will fill
and this darkness will swallow me.
until I am nothing but matter.
enveloped by all things vile.

Leave me alone while I shiver.
Forget about me as I remember.
Go back toward the light,
for I will be forever lost.
