Lower the flags to half mast,
America the Beautiful has been gutted,
Its word emptied of all meaning,
There is no jubilant throng singing,
“Glory, glory Hallelujah!”
Our nation’s heroes rise
From their earthen graves enraged
And cry out to the heavens,
“Have our cruel deaths been in vain?!”
Their ghosts march en masse
On the nation’s capital to haunt
Those who have betrayed our nation
In the Chamber of the Senate.
Abraham Lincoln holds his head in his hands,
And weeps bitterly for his nation.
All he endured to protect the Union from traitors
Has been destroyed in a single vote.
Our Founding Fathers who had sacrificed all
Watch in horror as the orange faced buffoon
Mounts the steps of the Capital with
The beloved Constitution of the United States
Attached to the bottom of his shoe
Like used toilet paper.
Tomorrow morning in newspapers
Throughout the nation the obituary is written,
“The United States of America,
Born on July 4, 1776, died on February 5, 2020
In the Senate, Washington D.C.
Our justice system is far from perfect, but it is what we’ve got
Just because you break the law, doesn’t mean you deserve to die or get shot
This is the United States of America, we are not a third world nation
If you don’t live here, then we are not interested in your negative summation
We have good cops and bad cops, good black and white and bad
We also have our fair share of good fathers and deadbeat dads
Evil is not dictated by a uniform, or the color of your skin
We know exactly where we are at and where we have been
We are the strongest on this planet, second only to God
So, if you have a big mouth, keep it shut and be careful of how you trod
We have our way of doing things that may or may not make much sense
But we will get the job done, whether its Biden and Kamala or Trump and Pence
We are Americans, you better recognize
You can choose to be our enemy, or one of our allies
Oh land of the free
And home of the brave, where are you?
Where is the torch that hearkens
The tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to be free?
When did freedom of religion
Become acceptance of
Only one religion?
When did freedom of speech only exist
When the listener and speaker agreed?
Why are we intolerant of extremists abroad,
But blindly follow extremists we call left or right?
When did news become fake news when it
Stated things that the listener did not like?
When did peaceful protests get vilified
And intimidation get glorified?
When did public servants
Stop serving the public?
When will equal justice truly be equal
despite race, culture, religion, and gender?
Is America, the beautiful
Truly beautiful
When we close our minds
And close our hearts?
Can we be proud to be American
And hate anyone unlike ourselves?
We argue over building
Physical walls,
But ignore
The spiritual walls and
The emotional walls
That we build
To silences differences.
My country, tis of thee,
My sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I plead.
Love your neighbor as yourself,
Forgive others as you were forgiven,
Clothe yourself in compassion, kindness, and humility,
For that is what will make America
Great again.
The Constitution
Words on paper,
Written by people of another time.
Written by people to protect “the people”.
Individuals that fought for;
their families,
their homes,
their towns,
their cities,
their states,
their new country!
America.
The land of the free!
The men and women that fought and paid in blood,
for their rights…
Do not change a word.
No! Not one.
Freedom they wish to steal.
Freedom they disguise and use to their advantage.
Our own laws against us.
Our own desire to accept and tolerate…
A weapon to stab us in the heart.
They are Our rights, not theirs.
It is Our lives not theirs.
It is Our families,
It is Our homes,
It is Our towns,
It is Our states,
It is Our COUNTRY!

South Of The (United States) Border...

Caravans comprising multitudinous
peoples plodded a steady course
analogous to iron filings drawn by
strong magnetic force
gravitational pull generated
by North America
an irresistible source,
which tug felt
nearly all the way round
webbed wide world beckoning
for waves of humanity
figuratively donned as spawning fish,
toward which currently dimming
beacon of democracy flickr
Trump might extinguish
though tis quite heart
breaking to experience
vicariously as one collective soul,
these desperate folks
ambitious to seek asylum,
(and eventual citizenship),
while this "FAKE" president
invents many a...holy SMOKES
outrageous, nefarious, and malicious
dagger o type cruel barbed wire
accusing, condemning, and emasculating,
(I could continue),
but ye dear reader would tire
unless individuals
affected by xenophobia
countenance same stance
as Commander in Chief,
or contrariwise some
like minded
thinkers, rack coon sitter
the migrant situation dire,
would effectively serve me
as preaching to
the Unitarian choir,
yet any sensate
person must admit
tis quite upsetting, lamenting,
and agonizing to witness
hordes of persons treated like
some pestilential
eyesore dagnabbit,
yes this chap can
endlessly spout flibbertigibbet,
though thee crux of my opinion,
inspires a poem express
sing supportive emotions
particularly acknowledging,
how these masses (thousands)
of vulnerable individuals
show true grit,
nonetheless yours truly,
would be hard pressed
for an immediate
humane solution to corral
this extensive kit
and caboodle, though this generic guy
with a poetic knack
shakes his noggin
watching armed flack
delivered from border patrol agents/
United States military, lack
restraint, and who outright attack
trespassers at point
blank range that pack,
a deadly (Judge Judy ish
huss) punch smack
king young ones
upside the head forcing
everyone to backtrack
to their homeland of
persecution by crack
headed gang members, which thugs
violently land a deadly whack!
REST IN PEACE, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
YOUR LEADERS FAIL THIS GREAT NATION.
THE FAILURE OF TRUTH HAS ERODED YOUR FOUNDATION.
YOUR BORDERS ARE BEING INFILTRATED.
YOUR LEADERS ARE PLAYING POLITICS WITH YOUR PROTECTION.
REST IN PEACE, UNCLE SAM, YOU DO NOT DESERVE THIS TREATMENT.
THERE IS A CURRENT OF TRUTH AND JUSTICE IN THIS GREAT LAND.

has a younger sister named Ellen also wanted to become a nurse
but alas she didn't graduate
Mary train long days 16 hours
students then earn $1 to $4 an hour
Mary graduated 1879 as a registered nurse
alongside with three other colleagues as the first black woman nurse in the United States of America

IS THAT A "CRIMINAL" WHO IS FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC"?WHY WOULD OUR PRESIDENT "TRUST" IN "RUSSIA OR CHINA" TO DO AN INVESTIGATION AT ALL?WHY "TRUST"THE ENEMY" WHO IS COMMUNIST" TO HELP "DEMOCRACY"? Writing poetic confessions is akin to visiting a Nudist state
Well, the concept sounds good, but all this exhibitionism --
The Naked performing unsteady cartwheels, their dangly bits --
Makes it seem like a bad idea.
Taking a break in the pleasant air
Look at how happy they are,
Dancing in a circle and jerking up and down, like children,
Praising one another for being authentic and emotional.
Allowing the clean aroma strike your nostrils
And you say to yourself, "damn, all this Nudity is attractive,"
While also recalling the how much fun you could have heard
If only you became a Nudist earlier.
The U.S.A does not like to be put in ,HARMS WAY"!!!! We all realize who is crazy enough to put"The U.S.A,and "Democracy " "IN HARMS WAY"!The Electric Chair is still given in "The U.S.A": Today".Where would a "Criminal Racist Be without "Democracy"?Where would "The U.S.A. be "Today" if we let some,or "ANY LEADER" get away,when he ,she or them, put,"The U.S.A. "IN HARMS WAY"? The "Electric Chair" is still given in "THE U.S.A."Americans are "RED,YELLOW,BROWN,BLACK,AND WHITE,and this is real,and true facts should help those who are "Racist" see the "Light",because a "Racist" "CAN and IS",and "CAN BE":"RED,YELLOW,BROWN,BLACK,OR WHITE! Senator Edward Kennedy introduced "The affordable health care act"!Barack Obama implemented"The affordable health care act"and had some "Legislative flack,but this "Affordable Health Act " was made "Law"and that is a fact!They tried to shut the "Law" down,and "The American People said that that was not sound,and "Affordable Health Care should stay around in every "State",and in every town! John McCain,Susan,and Lisa spoke up,and said that this "LAW"should not be replaced ,because those who are "American Citizens have a real right to have "Health Care in this "United States"!!!! The "American Flag" is now more respected,because "Affordable Health Care was not neglected,and this is what "Americans have detected: "We The People" feel that we all are respected!President Donald Trump moved in the right direction,and "Detected"that our "Allies"were not paying their "Fare share",and President Donald Trump put controls on foreign imports that were sucking "America"dry,and "Donald" realized that "Americans" can create products and sell our product "World Wide"! Americans need to have "Dignity,Power,Love,and Pride!!Let us love : Do not be afraid of loving too much! Love is the fulfilling of "The Law"!!!! The following poem was written by me before Britain joined the European Union and possibly reflects the view of most of our citizens both then and today!
United States of Europe
Another day, another dollar,
Funny things we British say.
It's the 'Pound' we use in Britain,
And it's always been that way.
Soon it may change to a ‘Euro’,
If we join with nearby lands.
Sadly they don't speak our English,
Those who offer us their hand.
While I like my nearby neighbours,
I can't see the reason why
We have to share in common money
Just to keep our prices high.
I would rather change to dollars,
Least the language stays the same.
We could then still count in English,
Just a simple change of name.
Tell me where our kinship nestles,
With our offspring or our friends.
Why this struggle to be partners,
Just to follow other's trends.
I know that all the souls within us
Are not different... not at all!
Why not then a world wide money,
Would the Bank of England fall?
But to choose a bigger Europe
When we don’t see eye to eye.
Seems to me a little silly,
Rather like a firework pie.
Now I’ll stop my mindless ramble,
Spend my ‘Sterling’ while I may.
Not just money, independence
Is the price we'll have to pay.

You take a real young man,
put him in a uniform.
Give that boy a gun,
and watch him start to form.
You give him weeks of training,
when you think he has it right.
Then you send him far away,
to a place for him to fight.
He watched his friends get killed,
there are no greater fears.
There is nothing he can do,
but cry those lonely tears.
All you can do is move ahead,
try to keep yourself alive.
Think about when you get home,
is what gives you your thrive.
And now that it's all over,
and the worst you ever seen.
You would do it all again,
