United States Constitution
The Constitution
Words on paper,
Written by people of another time.
Written by people to protect “the people”.
Individuals that fought for;
their families,
their homes,
their towns,
their cities,
their states,
their new country!
America.
The land of the free!
The men and women that fought and paid in blood,
for their rights…
Do not change a word.
No! Not one.
Freedom they wish to steal.
Freedom they disguise and use to their advantage.
Our own laws against us.
Our own desire to accept and tolerate…
A weapon to stab us in the heart.
They are Our rights, not theirs.
It is Our lives not theirs.
It is Our families,
It is Our homes,
It is Our towns,
It is Our states,
It is Our COUNTRY!
America.
