Christmas with Christ – Melchoir’s Story
Wondrous symbols and signs appear in the heavens,
heralding that an amazing event is about to happen…
the birth of a royal child in the town of Bethlehem,
one who will transform the world and make it whole again.
Guided by the light of a strange brilliant star,
I and my companions travel by night from afar.
We come to pay homage to this newborn Jewish King,
this Prince of Peace who will save our world from sin.
We wonder, how can this be, when all we see
are such wretched signs of abject poverty?
Joseph, Mary, and Lord Jesus, the little Baby,
sheltered with oxen, sheep, and lamb in a stable.
But we three kings humbly fall on our knees in wonder,
bowing our heads and giving our hearts to this Babe so tender.
Sensing we’re in the midst of a divine, royal presence,
Gaspar, warm brown eyes aglow, gifts Him rare frankincense.
Noble Balthazar, his dark chocolate skin glistening,
presents Him with aromatic, rich myrrh, for anointing;
and I, Melchoir, entranced by this miraculous sight,
bring precious gold to worship Him, this Child of Light.
Holding the Babe in my arms, there're no words to be said;
but as I cuddle Him closely, I’m overcome with intense dread.
For in a vision, I can clearly see Him suffering years ahead;
He’s nailed to a wooden cross, wearing a bloodied crown of red.
Impulsively, I’m tempted to hide Him in my warm cloak of gold,
and help Him escape from a fate that’s been foretold.
While history will see me as only one of Three Wise Men,
none will ever know that I could’ve changed fate right then.
But wisely I realize that it’s not for me to decide
whether this innocent Child shall live or be crucified.
I only know I must not interfere, but leave Him to fulfill
His Messianic destiny, by carrying out God’s divine will.
So while sadly, reluctantly, for the Orient I must depart,
I also leave with happiness and great hope in my heart,
as my vision also revealed, there’s redemption in His blessed birth;
and there'll be good will toward all men and Peace on Earth!

Walk everywhere. Go on long sea voyages;
Ask for days like symphonies of slow music,
banks of blue flowers to wrap you in the moment.
Become immersed in watching clouds
spiders building their webs.
Travel by the slowest modes of transport.
Ride a camel, camp out in the desert.
Move into a museum and declare it real time.
Dress in a crinoline. Decorate your room with
fossils. Read endless books- make your own wine .
Churn your own butter. Grow a garden.
When all else fails,
pull the hands off clocks. Declare it a crime to tell
time.
Hang curtains on the daylight. Hold back the sea.
Ruin the sun and cycles that turn,
annihilate the moon - close the doors on eternity.

If I have the time I’ll cook your beef,
Clean your kitchen, fix you a pie.
Sit and listen, sigh and cry.
Be your best friend, to both our relief.
If I have the inclination I’ll be there.
To mend your argyle socks and sweep your floor.
Things will be lovelier than ever before.
We’ll be married this time, and you will care
If I have the money, I’ll travel by plane
All dolled up, I’ll surprise you with my pretty
Well laugh and smile and be insanely witty
What am I saying? I’m being inane
You were the one who left me, Mr. Wow.
Broke my heart, shamed me incredibly sadly.
Without any guilt, made me feel badly.
I’ll not be back, ever, I’m smarter now.

This torment...
this courage
exposed...
I will be your
witness...
I surrender
this rose...
my soul feels
your pain...
my body exhausted
and drained...
I cannot weep...
for my strength
has surpassed...
this pillar I offer
a lifetime will last...
...for my wisdom to
you to your soul I speak...
...you are not alone...
let not your love
lost in time of retreat...
...we find our truth...
in this pain - for it
is in pain it is ourselves
we complete...
a journey you need not
travel by oneself...
...hero whisperer is
the inner self...
The world out there so big they say.
The one inside grows smaller each day.
Where once stood the crowd I knew.
Empty space and a remaining few.
The dreams so grand, with limits none.
At my feet I find not one.
Where the endless expanse of days.
Spread before us like crashing waves.
Now a night that draws us nigh.
Time to sleep that gentle sigh.
So sweep up the memories, throw out the lies.
Hush now my friend your frightened cries.
It was so sweet all I tried.
So scatter me far and scatter me wide.
Its true, no man ever went so far.
Travel by foot, bike and clanging car.
The people, places and things I’ve known.
The joy, my children, to my heart have shown.
What man should lament his having to go?
For it merely be what we are born to do.
Ain't life a wonderment???

Superman used to kick the ground
With the momentum, fly all around
From New York City to L.A.
It was his preferred travel way
To encircle the world in a flash
He would often wildly dash
Recently, he’s been seen on a plane
Partly to avoid the driving rain
He’s super, but his costume’s not
The fabric was beginning to rot
If he didn’t make a change soon
The world would see a full moon
So, to travel by plane he now tries
Also, to keep bugs out of his eyes
Fog enhances this place of intense fright
Pumpkins litter the yard with all their strength
The path is obscured having little light
Shadows are formed increasing in their length
Hearing only the noises of ghosts near
Pumpkins litter the yard with all their strength
Candles are lit within each window here
The moon escapes the scene, being clouded
Hearing only the noises of ghosts near
Witches brew will kill, it is not doubted
Lanterns sway in the fog, not quite shining
The moon escapes the scene, being clouded
The werewolves here are waiting for dining
Waiting for lost souls that will travel by
Lanterns sway in the fog, not quite shining
This place is spooky and that is no lie
Fog enhances this place of intense fright
Waiting for lost souls that will travel by
The path is obscured having little light

In a meadow
in a field
field of daisies
field of dreams
dreams of fortune
dreams come true

true love's kiss
kiss a frog
kiss me quick
quick like a bunny

thinking of you
thinking about life
life worth living

guard your heart
guard your mind
mind your manners
mind over matter

travel far away
away from home
away from it all
all or nothing
all is well
well done

water of life

time to rest
rest easy
rest in peace

Travelling on the road for business gets old fast. The inside of one hotel room starts to look the same as another in any town you name. When you travel by yourself it becomes even more mundane. Customers, clients and/or prospects all have their own after-work lives waiting for them and seldom include you in their plans. So, as you depart at the end of the business day you are on your own, in a strange town.
You do get used to exploring cities, towns and suburbs on your own. You figure out how to avoid always eating in the hotel restaurant and you master the art of dining alone. For men like Josh, that usually meant eating at the restaurant bar. Even though he seldom ordered a beer, wine or other alcoholic beverages, the bartenders were always a willing party to chat with and enjoy some semblance of human interaction.
On this particular occasion, the trip was even more difficult than usual because Josh was having trouble at home with his wife. Whereas, some may think it a blessing to remove yourself from the situation, it just made Josh feel even more lonely not being able to talk to her to try to work things out. So, after putting on his happy and buoyant work-face all day to keep the customer satisfied, Josh donned his fedora and walked out the front doors of the high-rise office complex onto the crowded and lonely city streets.
The fedora was a relatively new addition to Josh’s wardrobe. Not many men wear fedoras any more. Josh’s wife thought he would look good in the hat and surprised him with it as a Christmas present six months ago. Josh was still getting used to wearing the hat, but received many compliments on his appearance while wearing it.
Without even bothering going back to his hotel room, Josh slowly strolled around the city streets lost in thought about the situation with his wife and wondering how they might resolve the loss of passion, the loss of caring and the loss of love in their relationship. Finally, he stepped inside the doors of an enticing pub to get himself some dinner.
The bar in this particular establishment had plenty of stools available to pick from. Josh sat down on one and placed his fedora on the empty stool next to him. On this evening, Josh started off by ordering a beer.
There is somewhere out there in ethereal space
not of this Earth or any known place.
I fear that humanity won’t understand,
we are not on our own in a singular land.
Galaxies and planets are things of the mind,
we set the boundaries made for mankind.
There are more kinds of beings than ever we see
and they are all living for eternity.
Beyond all the barriers of our physical lobbies
some creatures ‘may not’ incarnate into bodies.
I’ve travelled with them both in goodwill and fear,
have not any doubt they are really quite near.
But where is this ‘near’, it exists in ‘our’ space,
you’ll travel by spirit to enter this place.
It will not be found by using six senses
but flying away from our world’s pretences.
Demons and Devils and Angels and Gods
all reside in this place where you’ve never trod.
I know for I’ve been there, I’ve walked on this track,
go look, but make certain you mark the way back.

i once knew a girl named sloot
who liked to travel by chute
dropping into a town
she would leave with a frown
due to the awful commute.
Oscar Levant, American Author, Comedian, Music Composer and more,
Was born in the early 20th Century and died in the 1970’s
Each decade, or era has their comedians – below is one of Mr Levant’s quotes,
TWO BY TWO EQUALS FOUR
A young couple Clorrita and Dwaine,
Decided to spend a holiday in Spain,
Both vegans, enjoyed a good radish,
But either neither nor, spoke Spanish.
They carried masks, heard of an Epidemic,
The Spanish Flu could become Pandemic,
They lived in Europe on inland terrain,
So decided they would travel by train.
They asked for a sleeper for four,
The ticket officer asked, “Why Senor”,
“Well, there is me and I, and she,
And my wife, so four we are you see”.
They had never thought or planned,
People could not understand,
When they went out to dine,
“A table for four please, will be fine”.
Eventually returned home, all so relieved,
Even Clorrita and Dwaine heaved,
A sigh, people don’t do simple maths anymore,
Schizophrenics are two by two equals four!
“ROSES ARE RED VIOLETS ARE BLUE, I’M SCHIZOPHRENIC AND SO AM I”
Fortunately, medicine has advanced incredibly since the 1970’s.
Always & Forever
I am your lion,
You are my lamb
A songbird singing
For this was the plan.
Always and forever,
I just wanted you to know
I will always be here for you
No matter where I go.
You can travel by sea,
You can travel in the air
By camel, across the desert
I will always be there.
Your knowledge astounds me,
I'm desperate to learn
Take me to your places
this time it's your turn.
I will support your dreams and wishes,
Yellow roses helped them to come true
I have sealed it with 4 kisses
Just to be with you.
I want you to know that I love you,
You are forever in my heart
You've blessed my life with so much pleasure
Without you, I'd fall apart.
Riding on a highway, hippy gypsy style,
Getting the past behind me, mile after mile after mile,
Until I feel free.
Songs on the radio, they always unwind me,
I love the way they flow, up, up and over me,
With nowhere to go.
It’s the little things in life that matter the most,
It’s in my hands, my heart and my soul.
You can travel by land, just sleep when you can,
It’s in my hands, my heart and my soul.
Let go and be free, your welcome to join me,
It’s in my hands, my heart and my soul.
It’s never too late to escape from that cage,
To my hands, my heart and my soul.
Gave it up easily, with nothing to lose,
The love of a dreamer, freedom to choose,
A brand new demeanor.
Give me the simple life, I’ll sleep on the ground,
Say goodbye and make haste, now that I’m bound,
It’s only a matter of taste.
This beautiful breathtaking city is not near the sea
It is in the sea
Like Venice it has sublime majesty
With water channels stretching for infinity
But with one difference while in Venice people travel by boat
The one used to sail across river, sea or a moat
People of this city use huge Victoria lily to keep them afloat
People sit in this lovely flower and are carried by sailors that to carrying others time devote
Above the city in the linen blue sky
Protected by basilisks that beneath it will fly
There is something that through ages will never die
Something ornamenting the cities’ azure sky
It is like a spider web of crystals made of light
To the eye it is delight
The way it shines with more hues than are found in human normal sight
It allows one to see entire spectrum of energy not just visible light
The web is huge and light like honey dew
As it turns from one color to different hue
It was touched by very few
Its surreal mesmerizing beauty is as if air got denser and in it spirit actually weighted pound or two
And that is what it is after all
Beyond mathematical living reflection of the soul
And after all
The only place where one can truly be free is in deepest essence of the soul
