Keeps Me Young And On My Toes

Some may ask why I have not bit the dust
or found that cave to hide my sad sorrows.
I'm old but my mind has not turned to rust
nor do I fail to wish more tomorrows.
When in darkest night's long crawling shadow
my fighting spirit cries live on or bust.
You are no soft flower in a meadow
do as you may, dare to do what you must.
That moment, I see truth, joy and white light
a clarion call to hold the last fort.
Sun filled summer days and beams of moonlight
calm blue seas and old ships safely at port.

Some may ask, why do you write such deep woes.
I answer, keeps me young and on my toes!

Premium Member Ten Little Toes

Ten little toes, precious and sweet.
Connected to, chubby one year old feet.
Running across, my freshly washed floors.
Muddy footprints that start at my door.

Ten little toes, painted hot pink,
from under the hem, they peek beneath.
As she stands barefoot in her moms dress,
in the mirror, a seven year old fashion success.

Ten little toes, steps into her gown.
So happy in love, her feet don't touch the ground.
Standing there waiting, for the first note,
shoes in one hand, the other, the vows that she wrote.

Ten little toes, a miracle to see,
connected to, chubby new born feet.
Soon to be running across my floors.
A Granddaughter carried, through my front door.

Heart & Soul

What a wonderful thing to behold!
Have you ever seen one quite so cute?
Never ever wanna let you go..
dressed in a brand new birthday suit.

How nicely you plucked heart strings..
that day you flew into life,
on two sun-kissed shining wings.

All your charms,
sent my heart straight to Mars,
the day you fell asleep..
right here in my arms..

Oh Heart & Soul..

Not yet even one day old,
left me feelin' ten feet tall..
so precious a tale be told..
pink bottom and all!

Went to shop for ribbons and bows,
said the angels.. we don't have any of those..
how 'bout ten fingers and toes?

The day you took my heart & soul,
was oh so nice, yes all sugar and spice,
so glad your mom brought you home..
would a kept you at twice the price.

Under lightning streaked flashing glow..
the night a duet sought to become a sweet trio.
Please tell your mom she's still the best,
no better nine month gift was I ever blessed.

Premium Member Sandy Toes

She danced on the beach
Amongst the seashells
And crashing waves

Sand got between her toes
And she wiggled them
As she twirled around

She had a small audience
Of onlookers
Admiring her beauty and rhythm

She danced for hours
Then twilight came
And the breeze carried her hair

But as she danced
All she could think about
Was the sand in her toes

So carefree and delightful
She would need to rinse her feet
After her dance

Premium Member Midnight in Velvet

Moonlight trickles soft light
Pouring from Milky Way
Illuminating gold silent night
Save for fireflies dancing away
Honeysuckle breeze enticing
Blue butterfly sleeps in red rose
Vision of brown owl exciting
Hunting with razor sharp toes

Shoes and Toes

I'm a bit confused when it comes to shoes and see a big toe that's been bruised
or the second toe is longer and trying to conquer the big toes space with an embrace

If you have this problem don't wear open toe shoes they do not amuse
but only gives us a clue you may need a canoe or a pair of tennis shoes

Why wear shoes that are four feet tall and look like a ski slope
and you walk like your on a tightrope afraid you will fall and have to crawl

If you have a toe problem don't be embarrassed a little buckle on your shoe top
will get a cute chuckle and you won't have to wear boots in that nice pants suite

Premium Member Sand Between My Toes

Sand between my toes.
Along the beach I walk
hand in hand with you.
The world is a beautiful place.

Along the beach I walk
watching the setting sun.
The world is a beautiful place.
Happiness is this beach.

Watching the setting sun
hand and hand with you,
happiness is this beach
and sand between my toes

10 Little Fingers 10 Little Toes 2 Little Eyes

10 Little fingers 10 little toes 2 little eyes everyday they save a life.
Every day she will arise to go to work 9-5 flipping burger's and dunking fry's.
10 Little fingers 10 little toes 2 little eyes everyday they save a life.
Every day hold's a new surprise from those 10 little fingers 10 little toes and 2 little eyes.
one day shell realize 10 Little fingers 10 little toes 2 little eyes are not so little any more.
Those 10 little fingers get bigger and one has a ring on it.
Those 10 little toe's get bigger no longer barefoot a boot on each.
Those 2 little eyes no longer so little looking strait up the middle ready for combat.
10 Little fingers 10 little toes 2 little eyes everyday they save a life.
Her 10 Little finger's 5 little toe's 2 little eye's finally come home.
and like I said 10 Little fingers 10 little toes 2 little eyes saved Their life.

Do hope the other four are keeping in time Dorothy
Yes Sybil they are all looking exceptionally elegant
When are you going to tell them we have passed the audition.

Premium Member Colorful Life

Color the days color them bright
Color the stage that we play life
Color them vivid as starry night sky
Color them brown, red, green eyes

Stop for a moment in the blue breeze
Each sip of it component to guide peace
For every flower you would pick me
You find the power to tower your dreams

Color your smile sunny and wide
Finger painted funny, lips teal in time
Lost in passion of red heart
Hips cover bench at Park Road Park

We sit we stand we walk we run
We bike we hike we bathe in sun
Colorful pen writes save the page
Reverie of our weeks written down safe

Windy words flow spill over so free
Like sand sucking toes at Myrtle Beach
Cool wet weeds after a rain
Ferment memories like champagne.

Teeth, ****, and Toes

Perfectly painted
Oh so white
Those boys just fainted
Keep those **** tight

Perfect skin
With the perfect tan
Keep up your chin
They'll become a fan

You don't need love
Only fame
You'll rise above
They'll know your name

Bat those eyes
Watch them fall
Hear their cries
You make them crawl

Just remember
The Hollywood Pose
You're the next contender
Teeth, ****, and toes

Toes In the Sand

Sunlight faintly broke through the clouds
Waves churned with loud clangor on the sea
Fog flowed in a winding river down to the shore
I was lost in pensive thoughts, toes dredging sand

I was lost in pensive thoughts, toes dredging sand
Fog flowed in a winding river down to the shore
Waves churned with loud clangor on the sea
Sunlight faintly broke through the clouds

Twiddle My Thumbs and Tap My Toes

Attention's gone
Doesn't seem like there's anything going on.

Sitting around
Trying to find something to fill this time I've found.

Frustrations show
I could've been more productive today, I know.

But instead
I think I'll spend the rest of the day in bed.

Who needs motivation when there's nothing else to do?

Where's the inspiration when there's nothing driving you?

I guess the lack of time my friend, is really not the issue.
It's figuring how to get the ball rolling to get to the things that will ensue.

In the midst of boredom; I'm in its throes
I'll twiddle my fingers and tap my toes

Premium Member My Hot Pink Toes

My hot pink toes look sexy on my feet,
They smile at me from my sandals in the heat.
It makes me happy when I have pink painted toes,
I paint them even in winter, although nobody knows.

Haiku -Between Our Toes

lapping waves on shore
first coloured corals crunch
between our toes
