Best Time Stands Still Poems
Leaping in barefoot abandon
Soaring every which way from Sunday
Laughter effortlessly exhaling cool breezes.
Lounging on nature’s lush carpet
Silhouette illumined by carefree serenity
Lapping up rays and shining them back
Licorice sticks and crackers and brie
Sweet plumpness of kiwi and mango and peach
Licking ripe juices off contented grin
Long luscious showers in waterfall glory
Swirling delightfully playfully pure
Lingering loving caresses of freshness
Last blush of daylight’s electrical charge
Sunset yields gracefully generously kind
Lights flicker syntax where space enfolds meaning
Lay here beside me
Savor my dream
Let my enchantment touch yours
There is a time when everything stands still,
When life's biggest moments
Are up close and ever so real
You take my breath away with all your sex appeal
When your eyes meet mine its a really big deal
You really know how to make this man squeal
I was hoping that you would be interested
In just how I feel
Oh baby if you really knew
How much of a thrill you would fulfill
Life with you makes my heart feel so true
It's not possible for me to sing the blues
Not when my eyes are full of all of you
All of this because I'm so in love with you,
As your love surrounds all parts of me
I can foresee total reality
That sets our hearts free
To be on an amazing love journey
How all of this makes us feel
when time stands still
And everything is so real
This much we can agree
Together we are so happy to be
Living life's opportunities
It's crazy unreal how you make all of this feel
Life is one big chance that leads us
To that special romance
When our hearts begin to dance,
And time stands still
As we realize our life together is forever
And so very real
My intent is clear...is yours...
Your eyes are as crystal...peering deep into the soul...
Your lips are like sweet honey on my mouth...
I savor every last morsel... until it is gone...
Whispers of love dance in my mind...
Gentle kisses cover my body...slowly but gingerly with great care...consumed by your touch...I am immobile...
My breath catches...ever so slightly...
Igniting a spark to my skin... I am on fire...for you...
Awareness flows in a wave of pleasure... As I feel every tingle your touch creates...
Time stands still... It is only you and I....
Lost in your wonder... never stopping...never going back...
The Faded Garden Swing
If the flaked paint on the old swing
could speak, it would tell stories of
days long ago,
Of children's laughter and their bare,
muddy feet,
Of fireflies caught and imprisoned in
empty jam jars,
Like the fireflies, my memory flickers,
trying to recall who lived across the
street.
The faded swing’s rusty chains creaked
loudly under my weight, an old familiar
song,
And the scent in the air from the aged
honeysuckle, still going strong,
An old familiar perfume of yesteryear,
At this moment, suspended between
the then and now, time stands still.
Once the echoes of children’s giggles,
now a silent yard,
Images of scraped knees, loud cries
and a lemonade stall,
In the distance, the sound of an old
church bell rings,
Here, on this faded garden swing,
I sit in the past with the weight of
what was and of what can never be
again.
Now, shadows linger in silence,
Where children once soared with
dreams,
Oh, faded swing, a keeper of stories
of joy and pain,
You hold the essence where memories
remain,
At last, I am home, in the place where
time stands still.
The cell doesn’t tell me the time so I wait,
praying for numb-heavy hearts,
splintered shards of the mind
time stands still
slow the pace of life
a howling silence
surreal as autumn tenor
all shades of grey
droop overhead
eyes soaking up
most somber thoughts
piano notes gather in the clouds
blaring echoes of solitude
as silver teardrops collect
in a hollow heart

Time Stands Still
As I tenderly walk in the welcoming field; I feel the warm caress
Of the sweetness of springs wind blowing on my mauve dress
When in this time, time seems to stand so lucidly still
Sometimes I feel our long-distance love affair is standing as a drill.
As we both do work in different trades of various work
These times when I'm home and so all alone I thus smirk
And then unto my eyes as I see a silhouette of a shadow dance
We'll keep each others lingering fragrance in a sheer romance.
Alas, in the future we'll be romancing in pleasure of a beauty of cause
Off in the field, we'll be fully rendered in lieu of your delicate pause
As we succumb to these sweet-scented fields to our desires
We'll be captivated to experience whimsical delectable passionate fires.
I'll be passionately waiting here home for you so we can share
Our endearing time for I feel like time stands so still for you beyond compare.

Lengthy rolling clause...
The dawns-
acre's of clouds rotating the days on!
I'm in bins,
crushing scores as they collide-
romanticize these additions to the outer rims...
Our planets,
the sea's-
remaining culture's to be released.
I'm the pigment that can never show it's real live-
it's monicor...made up life.
I was away for a day,
came home to the thunderous rize...
Caught on well 'they said'-
but I stray diminutive,
command a rhye.
Bow song,
and imagined steady long,
the shore's attract nothing,
I sleep like I'm totally gone!
Reapers deny thy finds-
I eat them in song.
If it's never to light...I create pace of ...
Endless space transports my soul
to a place where time stands still.
And though I'm part of the whole,
its vastness gives me a chill.
Galaxies shine above me;
formed billions of years ago.
And yet, today, I still see
light from their initial glow.
Shining stars dazzle and daze;
twinkling in the Milky Way.
And yet, they will still amaze;
billions of years from today.
The universe blows my mind;
for forever seems real.
And infinity, defined,
affects how I think and feel.
a Walk in-
the woods with debussy's
prelude to the afternoon
in my ears
time stands still
the warmth of the sun
music echoing amongst trees
the chant
of songbirds
oh peace and tranquility embrace
the benedictine monks
of santa domingo
a single melodic note
sung in unison
I listen to the ocean surf
the wild
cascading
waves
sweeping
me away
in the voice of nature
time
stands
still
meditation with bach and beethoven
mozart's concerto shuman's fantasy
the piano enchants me
the violins take me away
I am oneness with earth
trees that touch the sky bring
serenity
tranquility
time stands still
morning elegance
storms and wind and soft rain
hidden mountain retreats
enchanted meadows swaying
wild thunder songbird serenades
nightfall's cloak wolves calling
hidden coves and woodland ferns
moss clinging and wild flowers growing
in meadows
blowing hair
picker of buttercups
daisies
dandelions
life is chaotic and confusing
I find the serene and peaceful
amongst ponds and streams
listening to classical music
oh listen to the loons

In this very moment
Time stand still
It hits me every time
Faith refills.
I shake off the emotion
try not to think
but waves of the past
keep me in sync.
Mystery of pleasure
that can not be described
Why it matters I don't know
Words never transcribe.
Resting on the water's edge
of a stone birdbath,
its orange feelers curl
outward like tiny
telegraph coils - transmit schisms
I witness the microscopic
lapping of an insect
Not a dragonfly
perhaps a wasp,
abdomen pumping
like a heart beat between
clear shining wings
A seed falls, a flash of light
it disappears upon a
nearby twig leaving
reflections of ripples.
Time Stands Still
Time stands still
No flaw in this moment
Perfection in my eyes
No anticipation
Every second worthy
No minute unnoticed
Because when I’m with you
Time stands still
TIC TOC-TIC TOC-TIC-TOC TIME STANDS STILL FOR NO ONE---
Tic-toc-tic-toc, tic-toc-tic-toc
It could never be your will;
Time stands still for no one;
Premise to the task;
Tic-toc-tic-toc, tic-toc-tic-toc
Whether smooth or rough
You may kill time;
But one day time gonna kill you;
The thrill is here;
But one day the thrill be gone;
You may live short;
Tic-toc-tic-toc, tic-toc-tic-toc
You may live long
But Time stands still for no one
Did you hear? Me
Time stands still for no one
You may now run time;
But one day times gonna run you;
You may start fast and long;
But one day you’re gonna last either right or wrong;
As you may yet still kill time;
But one day time gonna kill you;
The thirst will be more thirsty;
As the hungry ever more feminist;
There’s no need for food in heaven or hell;
So stand on in eternity on Earth you choose;
Once in the casket to late to move;
Bind the devil on every hand;
Stop living for today think eternal;;
Tic-toc-tic-toc, tic-toc-tic-toc
Whether smooth or rough
You may kill time;
But one day time gonna kill you;
The thrill is here;
But one day the thrill be gone;
You may live short;
Tic-toc-tic-toc, tic-toc-tic-toc
You may live long
But Time stands still for no one
Did you hear? Me
Time stands still for no one
You may now run time;
But one day times gonna run you;
So stop wasting time, so time won’t waste you;
You choose today which time is you;
Peace and love eternal life is better;
If you use time wisely now for heaven?
Time stands still for no one;

Once Touched All Time Stands Still
Death again, the glorious symphony
mortal man has found his destiny
Once touched all time stands still
darkest hand exists only to kill
Spring, the time of earth's seeds
man rots helplessly in his needs
A few souls live in blessed relief
resting within their holy belief
Summer, life races into high gear
Sun shines, man has very little fear
His life is like a smoothed stone
Harshness seen only after he is gone
Fall, seeds planted for fair or ill
man still imposing his evil will
The stone moans with its new cracks
coldness coming with its attacks
Winter, the season so damn unfair
darkness coming fast from everywhere
Death trumpets its arrival with cold
man meets Fate, be he young or old
Death again, the glorious symphony
mortal man has found his destiny
Once touched all time stands still
darkest hand exists only to kill
Robert J. Lindley, 04-25-2015
Note: The Hand of Fate and the dark Hand of Death both
travel with man as deliverer of fruits from his bitter harvest.
