Premium Member Love Me Like You Mean It

See me; don’t just look at me.
Gaze into my warmth. . .adoringly.
Don’t utter words when the eyes can say so much.
Trace my face with your tenderest touch -
to love me like you mean it.

I’m your Aphrodite; handle me with care.
Let soft fingers linger in my golden locks of hair.
You are my Adonis; in the same way that I worship you,
ignite romance’s spark in me anew!
Yes, love me like you mean it.

Press your mouth to mine, but gently at first.
Imagine that I am a fine wine for your thirst.
Take your time imbibing me; the sky still has some light.
Savor me through twilight; then we’ll drift into the night.
Please love me like you mean it.

If you do these things, you’ll have no regret.
We will have a night never to forget.
Time is fleeting, and all too soon
we’ll rock away the night to passion’s tune
if only you but love me like you mean it.

Premium Member Tribute For a Commendable Soul

All across these scattered shining isles,
Framed inside a bright clasp of sapphire sea,
A softly persuasive wind that so beguiles,
Reaching gently out, thusly prevails unto me.
And in that wind that so insistently blows...
I hear tenderest words only my heart knows.

And high over, behind secluded wooded hills,
Beyond the cacophony of cascading falls
Where the crystalline stream steadily spills,
Rising up to meet the cloudless crumbling tors,
Are gathered the ghosts of the ancient tribes;
Here, secured in their breath...his resting sighs.

Far above, come the clearing velvet night,
Where wheeling Firmaments fiercely blaze,
I catch a glimpse, within those lights,
Of that patient, knowing, steadfast gaze;
The fleeting, glistening twinkle in the eye...
That loving glance that could not belie.

Now at every new dawn that quietly breaks,
Upon brushing wings of long-drawn geese,
Upon waking chorus-song of birds to mates,
My soaring Spirit bounds up -- and leaps!
An enduring love that keeps me whole....
An eternal love that binds my Soul.

And on the faces of our children's children,
I again see a likeness in their happy visage.
Amidst their laughter, as they play and run,
Counting my blessings as I can count the stars,
When holding close his memory all the while...
To find sweetest ALOHA! in joyful smiles.

Premium Member The Tenderest of the Roses

This rose stands alone
In the garden
Like a ballerina waiting on cue
For the sun to rise
So she may dance and sing and bloom
In full glory
Her blossom fully exposed
Her shyness hidden underneath
Her season is short
She will soon weep with early morning dew
As her petals fade away
So tender
Her desire only to please
The garden will sorely miss this tender heart
The gardener even more

Smitten Kitten

Leapin' lizards up in dem’ gizzards, something we call the creepy crawl. And her womb spew forth blasphemy, and her lips uttered deceit. Black alters in Bone orchards. Praise hell syndicate burn down this town and everyone in it. Red lights…, blood lust. Ambrosia, with her hair so fare. Clearly obvious why the gods chose her. Devourer of subtleties... Tenderest of vittles. I know at night your bones up and come to life causing mischief. All monkey minds in devil times, chatter chatter, screechhhh... All lost, no hope. And then there was you. Burn down the temple and sing. Eyes bare witness to the rise of her. Dance to the rhythms of a free will symphony. Bleed from thyn eyes,... I don't mind. Bliss bliss and heaven. Your absence is the bane of my existence.

It was the feathered purple of a blossoming iris,
kissing the laden air
with trembling lips.
I was awakened by its fragrance,
the newness of its ancient story,
told yet again by a moistening earth
in silvery birdsong.

Sometimes,
I have missed the turning from gelid and motionless
to the softening sway that unerringly follows.
I have been embittered—
brittle and bare as a crooked branch,
scraping a vacuous sky—

but not this time.

This time, the tenderest breeze,
prodded by the fingers of a spreading sun,
finds me waiting—
eyes closed, smile turned eagerly upwards
to greet the renewal
of creation.

Premium Member Kiss

What magic lies in a kiss
that it can enchant the heart;
and imbue the soul with bliss?

The measure of it is such;
that it fuels emotions,
with feeling beyond its touch.

To kiss is to impart love;
sharing sensual feelings
and passions lovers dream of.

It's an intimate embrace;
a feeling many compare
to that of floating in space.

Like the tenderest caress;
it's physically stirring
and sexual; when lips press.

An unspoken promise made;
a kiss translates into love,
as your feelings get conveyed.

Gentle ripples of clear water trace the banks
Where there are stones washed perfectly smooth
By the silent waves caressing their sleek veneer
And whispering echoes of tenderest serenity
Through the air that is so very fresh and clean

Bright, hot embers burn inside the circle
Where coals have turned the wood to heat
Warming the chilliness with breaths of hope
Brought on by the knowledge that everyone
Who visits this place will feel the grace here

Smoke drifts up toward a dark, evening sky
Stars surfacing in the distance, twinkling, dancing
Laughing at the moon who is lighting the night
With the assurance that there is true love living
Inside the hearts of those who share their feelings

Scents of grilling and insect repellant and night
Sooth the spirit with a sigh of contentment that is
Like peace freeing the soul to move toward insight
Into inspiration, elation, a haunting mystery growing
In honesty and praise, worshiping the One who saves

Enlivening and exciting, reflections of dreams invite me
To share my heart and soul, my inner faith and hope
Everything that gives and knows that real love unfolds
Among the ones who are willing to let go of their inhibitions
And fulfill their destiny with prayers for strength and wisdom

Nocturnal creatures lift their voices to sing through the dusk
Owl, opossum and raccoon make their presence known
Capturing their prey without creating any fuss or protest
With only their senses and purpose aroused, they whisper
Revelations of insights that only the wild creation experiences

God’s wisdom comes alive in the brilliant ebony of nightfall
Reminding hearts just why there is nature’s beauty to enchant
And delight, inspire the hope for tomorrow’s insight into
The future – where wisdom grows and freedom flows with
A sigh of whimsical pleasure at sharing in God’s creativity

Where, O' Where Baby Did You Hide That Key

Where, O' where baby did you hide that key
THAT UNLOCKS THIS RUSTY CHAIN HOLDING ON ME
Is behind shadows in yesterday's floor
OR THERE FAR AWAY ON SOME FOREIGN SHORE
Baby, baby, would it make me love feel
THAT LIFE AND YOUR KISS COULD BE MY NEXT MEAL?

Where, O' where baby did you hide that key
THAT UNLOCKS THIS RUSTY CHAIN HOLDING ME

Where, O' where baby did you hide that key
THAT UNLOCKS THIS RUSTY CHAIN HOLDING ME
Is it down in that hidden farmhouse well
OR JUST BEYOND THE FLAMING GATES OF HELL
Baby, baby, would it make me deny
YOUR BEAUTY WAS THE SOFT BLUE IN THE SKY?

Where, O' where baby did you hide that key
THAT UNLOCKS THIS RUSTY CHAIN HOLDING ME

Angel, Angel, Stir Again Sweet Love Lost

Memory, the ghost of a lost love, a vision
A vixen, a visionary, a heartbeat
When youth bellowed, with vapid imprecisions
And life greedily swallowed all it could eat-

The night, the sky, the moon,
the angel with flaming sword
The song, the love, the tune
Rampaging of malevolent world's angry horde

Angel, angel, stir again sweet love lost,
Send dawn's new glory and tenderest kiss
Pray I this, I care not the heavy cost
For now, she and love I so dearly miss-

In my anguish, sorrows did her heart crush,
All taken away by my heartless greed
I then acted in a maddening rush
To satisfy one of my worldly needs

She that was sweet and truly there for me
Her soul pure and her heart beating so true
I in my blindness poisoned love's tree
In my error now receive what I am due-

This I beg, mercy be given to me
True redemption cast from a hand divine
Perhaps a healing to set us both free
New romance to our stars again align.

Premium Member Courage That Inspired Awe

A crystal-clear picture!
                                The embodiment of courage!
An unsung Warrior, vigorously protecting uprooted,
                        heart-broken kin, and many shelterless,
After a devastating partition of the homeland!

A man in his prime, giving up
                         dreams of comfort, luxury, indulgence,
Embraces a life of unimaginable hardships,
                                  a life of never-ending toil,
So others feel safe, after a harrowing experience!

A life of everyday struggle for survival,
                             A life of torturous self-deprivation,
a life of agonizing separation -
                                      From own loved ones,
                                   so others live with theirs!

                             I remember the powerful hands,
which symbolized strength, offering a refuge,
I remember the devotion and dedication,
the tenderest care, the soulful empathy!
I remember the determined voice which symbolized
                              assurance, calming fearful souls.

Partition of a homeland - an unforeseen,
traumatic, curse for millions of sufferers,
Surviving with bare minimum, in an
unknown land, for an unpredictable future!
                           Leaving behind all cherished memories,
                                precious and prized possessions.

To me, One man symbolized -
                                         how to climb uphill
                                  Carrying a formidable weight,
                                    on the steepest  mountain,
                                       And reach the summit
with sheer determination and indomitable spirit!

                                            He is My Father!

Premium Member Eurydice and Her Moonbeamed Tresses

Why in his presence, did her soft heart, always like sweet
cotton candy melt?
Orchestral songs engendered the tenderest feelings, to her
heart, so aquamarine velvet.

Such starlit, subtle, shameless, suggestive glances!
An antennae in every way was she, inviting kaleidoscopic,
tsunamic romances.

On the fog cradled ship, with a cape of fog, blessing her
chiseled,moonbeam face,
His arms enclosed her in a velveteen gold, cuddled in his
silent, starshine embrace.

Oh, poetess, penning of feelings of deep intimacy.
Your poem, will be stamped “romantic “?
A term, you loathe and find so very meaningless and worse,
utterly curt and disgustingly pedantic!

But only a poet who knows your heart to its scarlet
inner flaming core,
Has the outstanding bravissimo to knock on your truly
insatiable, heart’s-door!

Dare he try his wings and wish for such magically,
exotic, sensual satisfaction?
Wrapped in those twilight, wild, moonbeamed curls
of Eurydice’s Olympian extraction!

Premium Member Some Things Are Sacred

Some things are sacred
They shouldn’t be tarnished
With vulgarity or crudity
They deserve reverence

God is holy, above anything
He shines down His love
That should never be degraded
With rudeness or offensiveness

There are some things in this life
That is worth more than wealth
Nature with all it’s beautiful wonders
Alive with glimmers of creation’s air

The very air we breathe is a gift
A God given part of our lifeforce
We could never measure it’s worth
It is what keeps us from death’s hold

The trees, birds and brilliant colors
Of an earth that is covered in joys
So enlightening that they surround
With hues of tenderest acceptance

The sacred should be reverenced
With true adoration and respect
That flows from our hearts and souls
With a sense of what is God’s purpose

True wisdom will tell every reflection
That we are sent here with an intention
To give the parts of our own selves
That will acknowledge the spirit within

His spirit desires to guide us to the way
The truth, the life… Jesus is the answer
To teach us about sacred revelations
That whisper with gentle benevolence

Silver Cycle

In a pinch of the slenderest fingers
like tapioca beads to the wind
the mercury fog is popped.
Wild silver happenstance rains down
and settles quiet. Quiet.
Had my pale head touched the earth
at the moment of it's impact
I would have drowned in the mist.
With slender fingers turned to roots,
hair to moss, blood to sap,
a papier-mache skin to the earth's skeleton
To be popped, by the tenderest finger's of soil embrace
drawn to the sky like tapioca beads to the wind.

Sweet Meadow Reverse Poem

The heat of your lips burns through my skin
The breaths hot and fast, as deep you are within
Moisture trickles between my breasts my arms enfold you tight
To be with you in your dreams, to be with you through the night.

The warmth of the flame licking high in the fire grate
The fallen wine glasses, this was our fate
Your fingertips explore, the softness down below
In contrast to this I feel the hardness of you grow.

Your eyes the colour of emeralds, close as we kiss
The tenderest of touches, out lips never miss
To feel the joy and after glow to feel we are as one
My heart, my love, my life, I pray this feeling never gone.

In the meadow sweet the dragon flies flit by
The stream tinkles past, the buttercups seem to sigh
Two hands are holding, fingers that play
The sun is shining on this our perfect day.

No one near as lips meet in unwedded bliss
No one censures as true lovers kiss.
If this is the last breath on this mortal earth
Then let it be a day that makes a lifetime worth.

Never to see the pain of another goodbye
When true lovers meet, let not the tears cry
The breath of life may go, but the spirit lives forever on
As the spirits are entwined true lovers will be one.

Premium Member The Lyric Man

The Lyrical man of passion’s sacred song,
Gave his heart away to the Caribbean Queen,
In the fine crystal glasses of fine champion of desires lust,
Did he so drown, beneath the frothy waves of the tropical sun?
In the morning’s sweet rising, this poetic bard shed the tenderest
Of sun kissed tears, that melted in the heat of the hot horizons
Blazing oceanic dream.
Yet within this love sick heart he thus bleeds, eloping words
Of devotion from the farthest shores beyond, but the enchantress
Seductress dances the island waltz of the erotic, softly he sings
Unto this maiden tan and most fair, I’m here for thee, but
She does not hear the verses of this lyric man, passing him
By for a Jamaican band.
For no thumping drum, can beat the rheum of his heart,
Or the strumming of sensation’s that burn within his soul,
In raptures pleasure a raging voice echoes unto paradise
Lost, a thundering hurricanes proclamation, come home
To me my tropical princess, but in silences response,
Lies nothing except deafness silence, rippling across
The distant waves of sorrow.
What angel dethroned from heaven’s grace,
Caused loves sweet arrow to aim so wrongly,
Hitting this misaligned target dead on sight,
With regrets folly the only true outcome.
Oh do the island sirens so weep for him,
This Lyric man, who’s loving torch burns
Within the sands of pleasures betrayal.
Light as the feathers of angels does his
Song ring out, enchanting mermaids even
To rise from the fathoms deepest depth,
Splashing sea form at this temptress of
Faded illusions, yet still she responds
With empty sighs of rebukes disconnect.
He sits still on isolation's stage, playing
A melodies soft tune of lost eloquence,
This music man of thoughts passionate heart.
Silvery strains of diamond perils glisten upon
Briliances waves, shinning beneath the tropical
Sun, laying on top of the big blues surf, these
Are his tears of devotions everlasting love,
Connecting his heart to this his Caribbean Queen.

Premium Member Beauty In Yellow

Purities sweetest honey melts, as tear drops
Of sunshine.
Fallen thus upon the meadow of thought
And imagination.
It yields the tenderest of wild flowers,
Delicate bouquets gathered yet grown within
The minds of humanity.
Golden wheat fields, shining beneath a yellow sun,
What a marvelous harvest, to share with thy,
Brother's kindred, that of your own idealism and
Expressionism.
Sweet harmony’s music angel's do play,
Upon golden yellow harps, a mist heaven's
Blue divides above.
Inspirational muses are these divine angelic
Creatures, gliding upon white powder clouds
Of softness.
The poets heart hears their melodic
Melody, and responds with words deep
Felt expression, placing the quail pen,
To paper.
But ages yellow turns the plant fibers,
To mush, and blacks ink fades with time.
Yet the memory is past down, and others
Word of mouth, shall remember beauty's
Once written words.
In the honey hive of the human world,
Many bees do buzz, seeking the nectar
Of the most beautiful rose that grows in
The garden of inspiration.
But the lone bee touches his uplifted wings
To enlightenment’s thought, so thus he
Himself may create a masterpiece, that
Will be remembered forever.
