Best Teachable Poems

The Song of Wisdom

Upon the wind I hear her whispered song
she says “Come to me” with such urgency
I listen now as I’ve been all lifelong.

I turn to look, straining my eyes to see
just like a child who knows his mother’s voice
she says “Come to me” with such urgency.

This Lady who is not everyone’s choice
I follow her and choose the road she’s kept
just like a child who knows his mother’s voice.

For those who left her have bitterly wept
with Wisdom I will daily walk in faith
I follow her and choose the road she’s kept.

In quiet times the small voice I await
I will be strong, mild, teachable and kind
with Wisdom I will daily walk in faith.

I’ll heed her call, that I don’t walk like blind
for in the wind I hear her whispered song
I will be strong, mild, teachable and kind
and listen now as I’ve been all lifelong.

Grand is the wisdom of the experienced;
Raging with tears in the rearview mirror.
Anxiety dealt with, sweet dears.
Now listen, grandchildren, revere
Dad and Mom, but fear God -
Paradise is the presence of Christ.
Are you teachable, let me in;
Roar with the lion, bleat with the lamb.
Enjoy your life but obey God’s commands.
Net salvation and God‘s rich rewards.
Testing will prove you, child.
I am on your side - the bright and invincible.
Negotiating your success on my knees.
God hears with generational blessings.

1 child at a time
O left behind
1 God to spur you on

Premium Member A Witchs Vavavavoom

As if the house had landed on a witch’s vavavavoom,
the door’s ajar, and my boy had alerted me…

surely tornadoes increase the velocity of speed
of a mom, to zero in on, a three year old.

Forget the broom. Hear the prophet speak
of pleasant things. The boundary has fallen

in pleasant places. If ignored the blessing
clears at the speed of light, taken

from the bright eyes of infinity. Listen to the kid,
not the seven dwarfs, nor the munchkins…

“Mom, come here.” The witch’s broom, stored away.
Clearly, at this point, you think me a witch! C’mon!

Teachable moment…parents lean in. When the dumb speak…
clearly, I mean, when your son is willing to share ANYTHING,

just like E. F. Hutton…stop the presses, lean in and listen,
especially if you want him to trust you with future things,

or trust you at all… so I’m on a run…still my heart…
What will this boy impart? Are we invested in Oz?

A side note, just because…we brought him to see
a 3-D short…the witch cackled…he screamed!

Back on Oahu, Aloha…the door is cracked, minah birds
minding theirs or someone else’s business, as they

are gossipers, given to mimicry. The world has opened,
the sun is shining, as the boy points at a plenary rainbow.

Oh my heart…oh my boy… I know they must grow,
but they forget their moms when they marry,

but moms don’t forget or they shouldn’t - the promise,
the flood of memories… I’m over the rainbow!!

Premium Member What Dreams Are Made Of

Memories and dramas replaying through the night
Some dreams are so beautiful and unbelievable
Others take you through a night’s journey of fright
They can be so powerful and conceivable

I wonder if dreams are trying to make things right
Making those little parts inside of us reachable
Keeping that light inside of us glowing bright
Taking moments of life makes them teachable

Color Blind

COLOR BLIND

I thought it was over, though I could never understand

Why we can't walk down the street, holding different hands

'Can't walk side by side, have to have a divide

Sepreate fountains, Sepreate seats, treated as a disease

This is not what God see in me

I'm a black beauty, yet treated as a black beast

My Caucasian friends has departed from me

Hello? the 1st amendment is not reachable

Trying to teach me things that not even teachable

yet, the brains of our people are so knowledgeable

White and black really nothing different but the color

yet, many petty on me as if I could change my color

You stalk me as if I could change the weather

but you are more ignorant than I thuoht if you judge by color

Some could never fill my shoes I been through every scene

Time to wake up colors are not what they seem

What if colors were never discover

We do the same things but why are we on different teams

I wish black and whites could come together like martin seen in his dream

You hear me! but Seriously, you don't really know what i mean

You don't know the feeling,

I was scarred like a slave and still in the process of heeling

I still carry the whips on my back from being beat and viciously degraded

but you wanna know what is crazy? I was born after slavery

Color blind...... in a world full of colors

Why do different races try to hurt one another

We both were birth by mothers, walk the same earth, eat alike

Yet why do I feel different

if you haven't notice, whats been going on, you haven't been paying attention

it's not what you did to me or what I've I done to you

We are differnet indivaluls you cant categorize a color

Rasicm will end in the end of ime

but as of now nothing is wrong with the world their just COLOR BLIND

Integrity

Learn from the wisdom around you
That replenishes when replenishing is due
For it is dire that there be the indemnity
For the unexalted integrity
That it may live once again
And distinguish itself from every feign
As the practice indelible
Adoptable, teachable and inheritable

To be truthful and honorable
And for it be reputable
To value and respect
To invest then expect
To lead and to participate
To correct and to appreciate
To be passionate and wholehearted
And finish all that is started

Feel that sense of duty
Wrapped in its fulfilling beauty
To cure from wilt
And to preserve good as built
As a reasonable channel of your diligence
That its reward may influence
All eyes that see
To want to be

Teachable Moments

A curious minded child asked me, "what happens when you die."
Since I've only been alive, "I wish I knew the answer", is what I replied.

"Could it be like nothing ever happened, as if time passed us by,
like a classified file from a government spy."

The purpose of a teacher is to invoke thoughts in the mind.
To challenge whats taught, and see with their own eyes.

Premium Member Tauschung

Täuschung

A very powerful German feminine noun that’s
replete in certain life situations with shades of
of deception, delusion, and illusion—which, in
turn, depend on certain circumstances and life
experiences which seek the situational power
and force that speaks to and shapes the very
nature of projected and expected outcomes in
another person’s favor or even another group’s
true intention and advantage as a move is made
for one to invariably “strike while the iron is hot,”
whilst ensuring that “all of the other pearls of no
value,” are conveniently cast out to “pigs” who
are the true losers and shall never possess the
real spoils at hand. If you have ever been lied
to, fooled, or deceived, then I am afraid you are
in the sad company of many others in life who
have been similarly affronted in a life’s run.
If this should be the case, I proffer to you, to
never forget the word Täuschung and its real,
teachable meaning in this instance. It’s worth
thinking about. After all, I might also add, that
the famous comedian, W.C. Fields, had once
so poignantly posited the following very famous
expression: “Never Give a Sucker an Even Break.”
Need I say more? I rest my case. Amen! Amen!

August 26 Scripture Meditations Based on Obadiah

Key Verse – Obadiah 1:3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BRINGING DOWN MY PRIDE

Thank You for bringing down my pride of haughty sufficiency
To correct me by Your satisfaction-persistency
So that I can stay in Your compassionate proficiency
And be content in enjoying Your mercy.

Thank You for bringing down my pride of vain arrogance
To rebuke me by Your meekness-deliverance
So that I can abide in Your nourishing sustenance
And be peaceful in claiming Your assistance.

Thank You for bringing down my pride of shameful selfishness
To humble me by Your sacrifice-completeness
So that I can acknowledge Your omnipotent greatness
And be confident in trusting Your kindness.

Thank You for bringing down my pride of obvious idolatry
To discipline me by Your standards in the ministry
So that I can march along truth-infantry
And be courageous in doing Your will against sin-entry.

Thank You for bringing down my pride of hypocritical reaction
To cleanse me by Your purging sanctification
So that I can strive for Your holiness-anchored function
And be teachable in learning from Your instruction.

Thank You for bringing down my pride of worldly interest
To reprove me by Your divine test
So that I can invest in Your eternity’s fullest
And be fruitful in working for Your honour, always the best.

Thank You for bringing down my pride of disobedient tenacity
To mold me by Your loving authority
So that I can yield to Your guiding sovereignty
And be blessed in praising Your Deity.

The opposite of the journalist's deconstruction

is reconstruction through predictive narrative.
Just as the opposite of permaculture's green activist
regeneration
is pathological degeneration
emerging from past too-monoculturing memory

Back toward too much red-meat butchering
and ballistic slaughter
swimming in pathogens
about health-resilient DNA-RNA solidarity genes
for future regenerative reconstructions.

Recently
the local writer of Permaculture Opera
invited me to his and her place,
I'm still not sure s/he has chosen
Either/Or gender,
for a co-author interview.

But I need to arrive
just before dawn
and not drive in
or even toward
EarthSoul's healthy address,
if at all possible.

So, I'm riding my bike
and arrive just as pre-dawn light
could reveal river homefront terrain.

There s/he is
atop a barren maple tree,
facing East
across a valley,
rocking back and forth
from north to south
and back again...

S/he calls "Good Morning!"
as if this emerging light
has already made Earth's best day invitation
convocation
to and for those less grumpy
and feeling old-knees and hips frumpy.

S/he welcomes me up
and so I go
with all my Senior Citizen climbing years
behind me
to rest just below Earth's swaggering
Operatic sway.

Before I can ask
what s/he is doing
S/he tells me
This is Earth's centering sit spot
from which s/he greets our vibrant Sun
when clouds do not grey stand
in dark swaying way.

Here s/he waves back
as Earth's trees thank FatherSun
for waving forth
paid-forward
toward this WuWei Day
West for Ego Win
and East of EcoRooting Yin
discerning through and after dualdark night.

Like a Permaculture Opera
opening each morning,
each life,
this ego/eco centric

dusk-fading glory.

My Opera piece will begin
There's no such health-listening thing
as a non-teachable moment.

Resolutions

Repentance of things past and present, and anticipated misdoings shall be of utmost importance. I shall be more open and vulnerable, being more willing to “Be Wrong”.

Evils that are both subtle and also blatant shall be exposed, fought against, and prayed about. I shall determine that my voice be heard more by both God in prayer, and by my fellow man.

Salvation of the human race is not a given, but we must seek powers higher than our own. It shall be my intent to further awareness that without Christ “We” are lost, and when left to our own devices, we will never be found.

Options shall be my pathway to channels unknown before, but presently golden opportunities. Unacceptable behavior and destructive forces should not be left alone, because they’ve always been that way, and “because we’ve always done it that way”.

Lucky shall not be any dream of mine, but I with the Almighty shall prosper and assist many. The harder I work, and the more I pray, and the kinder I become, the luckier I get.

Until everyone knows, I shall consider it my duty to tell them that they are loved by God. The knowledge of God and His love for us changes everything.

Teachable is what I have always wanted to be, and the future me shall be no less.
The wisdom that comes from God is teachable and affords us the ability To go beyond being understood, and opens our hearts to understand.

Immovable shall be the word for the values that must never perish, and that I forever cherish. Descending from a generation of “Absolutes”, and pushed onto a bandwagon of “Situation Ethics”, I shall continue with values that do not change like the wind.

Onward and upward I shall go, more bolder, ever hopeful, unselfish, and never looking back. Regardless of the destruction and pain that I see, there is a world of promise just ahead.

Never giving up, in, or out; never doubting truth; never allowing evil to persist without a fight. I will continue utilizing the scales of solid truth that shall outlast the fading vapors of evil.

Solutions to mankind’s problems were gifted to every generation, and I too shall assist for the good. You and I are gifts on loan by God Almighty to our generation, and we must use them to make our world a haven of love and peace.

Premium Member Who Matters

Zerah was the twin brother of Perez whose mom and dad were Judah and Tamar. Perez was a direct ancestor of Jesus, but Zerah's name also appears in Jesus' genealogy. Zerah was not a direct ancestor of Jesus, but 'he also mattered'.

Tamar's actions are ill advised and unacceptable by standards even in her day; but she felt that she had been overlooked and forgotten. So pretending to be a prostitute, she did the unthinkable by tricking Judah her father-in-law into conceiving a child with her. In so during, she became a direct ancestor of Jesus. Though ignored and rejected, she asserted herself and convinced others that 'she also mattered'.

Rahab was a citizen of ill repute in Jericho, a city doomed for destruction. Acting upon historical information she had acquired, Rahab brokered a deal with the spies that saved her life and that of her family. She was a prostitute who later married into the Hebrew family and became a direct ancestor of Jesus. 'She also mattered'.

Ruth was a Moabite and an unlikely candidate for the Messianic linkage. She made personal choices that were of the 'outside of the box variety'. She was selfless and never realized where such choices would take her. Her life and name, her submissive and teachable spirit speak volumes. 'She also mattered', and so does every creature on the face of the earth.

Paradoxes

There are paradoxes , be assured
In life that must be confronted, not endured
If there is no conviction, don’t be lured
That a drink is well balanced and matured
Then you drink it expecting to be cured
But it leaves your imbalance and immaturity ensured

We think appreciation is all that’s worth having
Like we are only bound to receiving
From whence cometh the giving
That we all await with our appetite for taking
While the greatest nations are not withholding
And their hand that giveth always suffices for a blessing

Who said there was a title like “Honorable”
I thought it was a trait that was measurable
Selfless and unconditional service as is fathomable
Being an example and symbol of all that is noble
Making a teachable legacy probable
Showing all the good that is possible

They say that I speak to chastise
But I wonder how they watch sunrise by sunrise
Yet they fail to realize
That a timely action today will save us time’s reprise
Bringing pleasure to our eyes
As we watch while adversity dies
