Best Spill Over Poems

Swaddled in frozen silence
In a weather so dolorous and damp
The pores of her mind sweat painful memories
Which take a headlong flight
Faster than the beams of light

At times shaking their fearful manes
As unbridled steeds, they come
Raising dust behind
Making all sanity blurred.
Often, they rise from their indulgent stupor
And spill over, submerging all extant thoughts

They never care to stand in queue
Jostling each other with no manners
They bump on one another, breaking all decorum
Like an unruly mob on impatient wait

Caught in the vortex of a whirling current
Her poor body begins to lose its equilibrium
And she plunges into the bottomless depth
To be choked there in whirling gloom!

The demons are out tonight.
I can feel them running up and down my spine.
It’s nothing but rag water and blue ruin.
They won’t rest until I hurt something or somebody.
I must vent or die.
Better to do it now than wait.
Waiting only causes more pain to those I love.
The dogs are restless they know I am not right tonight.

I have this razor sadness
That only gets worse when the Southern Pacific pulls out of the world.
There is no place to go and no place to be
Except with this clanging and sorrow that knows no home.
I count the tears on the counter and they don’t mean anything.
Salt and water a sorry excuse for loneliness.
And the demons they keep peeking their ugly heads out
Feels like the whole damn town is ready to blow.
I reach out and tug on someone’s coat and spill over the side.

Then like metal raining down on your shores it stops.
I have transferred the pain.
I am one again.
And you now suffer my sorrow.
The demons are happy and I am sad.
It is life-eating life.

Miss You

A mass of thoughts cascade upon my chest
each day that night comes
for I hover day by day at your door's step
but I see not your appearance

Flood of thoughts run within my mind
time to time that tic-tock of the clock
goes without a seconds wait
for I hover over emails I send each time
but I see not your reply

Wave of thoughts spill over my sense
I trudge around with heavy head
miss you
Imiss your uplifting words

Autumn leaves heavy with thoughts
for they awaiting your early morning sprinkle
miss you
miss you my lovely friend.

Note: A dedicate to a friend whose her words had for long heard, although I'm to blame. She emailed me then,"therein, I know she wanted to tell me something," but I was ill, I cannot stare at light. therefore I didn't check her mail for some days. Each day by day now I'm confusing...

Who We Are

Seductive tones filter the slumbered night
swashes of seda fill up an accented view
swirls of honeysuckle flicker in the breeze
and again the beauty of you is inhaled

Strip down low to the bare essentials
drench your soul in the waters of me
embrace fully in the arms of self content
and unleash chaos holding a being at bay

Enter into my entranced persona offering
let sacred dreams spill over silent borders
unburden that heavy heart hidden away
guarded, we are not who we say we are

Premium Member A Poet In the Making

A diaphanous mist hangs over me
Blurring my thoughts and fancy
Or is it that my Muses have gone into lazy slumber?

Whatever thoughts I have, they come fragmented and scrambled
In no way I can piece them into a string
As I try to nest them together, they wheel away like pigeons

When I struggle for utterance,
Like a child, I lisp at the very first word
Though thoughts strike me like pellets of rain against windowpanes
I fail to broil them in the crucibles of my imagination
I am a miner searching for a nugget of gold
In tons of drilled out mineral ore

In the dead of the night, in frightening stillness
I am awake, with a pen in my hand
A heavy weight pulling me down
Caught in a creative maelstrom, I whirl and whirl
I hope the ink will soon spill over
Scrawling coherent lines and letters

Like an emboldened farmer,
I sow seeds of my thoughts into a land barren,
Not fecund enough and not watered with imagination!

Who can say some of them won’t strike root
Even in the cleft of a rock and struggle bravely into sunshine
Spreading over their sterile birth place
With beauties any eye would love to behold!

I wait for that moment...
Yes, I am a poet in the making...!

Yosemite’s Ephemeral Autumn Falls

Bald giants of swift water smoothed pale granite
Mark deep clefts for tumbling summer snowmelt
Rush released from frozen streams once frostbit
Silver swells - Ribbon Falls in pure ice melt -
Ephemeral streams slowed beneath Orion’s belt.

Thin tulle mist from autumn’s gossamer Bridal Veil
Flutters, bathing stony arms embrace of Royal Arch,
Quaking Aspen in Alder Creek covers Misty Trails
Witness near the Staircase wildflowers parched -
Golden leaves on steep slopes from the western larch.

Sheer barren faces only seep crystalline tears
As rivers flow to shallow autumnal rivulets
And Fire Falls wait for wintery floods to reappear
When somber quartz welcomes new Cascades reset
Catching torrent tides, flashing in a fiery sunset.

Wild Cat eyes the Sentinel in thirsting, dried up rills
That thinly coat plutonic rock in a glacial train
Only a trickle floats lazy scarlet sent over these hills
No tumbling drops tickle Waterwheel to turn with rain
While Snow Creek laments in narrow runnels refrain.

No gushing rivers plunge in roaring thunder veils
Nor scramble down Yosemite’s plainly marbled face
Scant silvered dews spill over on Nevada’s trails
For soon the breathing winter storms many falls erase
Till joyful spring redeems autumn in this magic place.

A tribute to the magnificence of Yosemite during autumn.

' Volcano (Or the Perils of Passion) '

‘ Volcano’ ( or The Perils of Passion )

Volcano … You Inferno ! … You, Latent Threat
… I am not Ready, for Your Rise … just Yet …
So Stay Low and Do Not Throw …
… Your Boiling-So, … Nor Tell-Tale, Glow

Your Trembling Thrill, is Unseemly, So Leave
… Is that Bubbling-Fire, Leaping ? … Not Now, Please !
With Cool-Logic and Reason, Let The Brain- Blow ! …
and Ease the Simmering, Sultry, Steam Below

… Stay Sluggish and Drain thru my Strained-Veins
‘Lest Nothing, but Ashes and Embers Remain
Journey to The Center of The Earth … Don’t Emerge !
‘Lest The Core of My Being … Spill Over and Purge …

Burning This Complacency … This Routine Degree
For this Mercury, could Melt my Civility
or Expose my Feminine – Fear of Falling into Fissure
bringing Scalding Tears and Smoke-Screen Tissues…

… All in His Temperate-Touch, lays my Malfunction
He has Ignited, a Full-Blown, Sky-High Eruption !
Consuming Heat, Please – Show Some Compunction !
Would Moving Further Away, Stop Quaking Expulsions ?

… My Heart is Napalm-Warm … I Know …
but … Does It Have to put on a Shower of Sparks Show ?
Oh, I Can Not Stand This Incinerated Assault, Any More
Not, While, He Persists … To Pour and Pour …

… Too Late, I Sputter … Now, Lava Flows …
Alive-Thing … on Volcano Floes
Caught … In Volcano Throes … …
Molten Sea ... Let It Go

Math

Numbers hike off of the page
to venture around the walls.
I'm not day dreaming
Im trying to find the answer on the wall
(like any teacher is going to beleive that)
I had the answer. I swear!

Who hired the devil to put letters in math?
And then add fraction bars.
and exponents
and graphs
and functions
.......

who said numbers weren't enought to deal with?
Now it is x-4b over 30*836 all over 370y to the fith.
Im losing my mind,
hunched over letters I cant find

regretting this class,
I'd almost prefer mass.
rembering this class is required
can't wait for this class to retire.

My head is spinning,
dancing around the bonfire of answers,
that is right infront of me.

the point to give up approches.
Tears brimming the full glass eyes,
threatening to spill over.
The consepts are simple,
but when put infront of me,
An unknown language is all I see.

And to answer your question: Yes I am avoiding doing my math while writing this.

My Red Chair

MY RED CHAIR
By Leonard Kleeman

I took a hard fall just the other day
and broke three ribs to my great dismay.
The pain is deep and very hard to take.
I can't even lie down, if just for Pete's sake.

But I was saved by chance, you see
for in my bedroom there's a chair
just for me.
It's a bright red color and a recliner too
and it's very comfortable for me or for you.

At night for my comfort it becomes my bed.
I even cover myself with a blanket that's red.
I'm in front of the TV and control all the light
So I can sit and watch shows all through the night.

But that's not the purpose of my lovely red chair.
I just can't sleep in bed with my ribs to repair.
When I lie on either side the pain is severe
so I have to sit on my rear in my dandy red chair.

I stretch myself out and tuck myself in
and pull the blanket way up to my chin.
My red chair protects me with arms on each side
So I don't spill over or go for a ride.

After a few days I got used to the red chair.
I felt so comfortable and was glad it was there.
Now I have to get better to get back in the bed
And when I do, I will dearly miss all that red.

But my beautiful red chair and I just won't part
I'll keep it right next to the bed and my heart
For without that red chair what would I do
If I need it again for me or for you?

In Conjunction

IN CONJUNCTION

If ifs and ands were pots and pans - silly notions,
It would be difficult to cook eggs
And soup would spill over your legs.
Thank God ifs and ands are conjunctions.

Durian Fest

Durian Fest

This being the month of September....
It is the season made just for tropical fruits lovers...
Given a favorable season of good sunny weather..
Coupled with intermittent rainfall all over..

The daily market place teems with fruits galore..
Abundant supplies of various fruits spill over...
The undisputed king of these fruits is the durian..
A aromatic thorny fruit that has its fans swooning over..

Some just can't tolerate its aroma, it is pungent...
But durian lovers, they are salivating in anticipation. ..
When it is a durian fest with a eat all you can invitation...
Bring your partner, your friends and your family members...

Partake in a merry session of eating luscious durians...
Forget the traditional lunch, gorge yourselves with durians...
If you're there on time, rest assured you all will be feted...
With all kinds of durians, kampung types and hybrids...

Best of all, you each get to test your durian instincts...
Are the durian pips you're eyeing are as good as your instincts...
Nothing could be more satisfying than getting your hunch right...
That those succulent durian pips you're eyeing are just right...

You take a little pause, should you go for another pip....
You feel you've had enough but look at that pip...
You've got to try it out, it has to be heavenly, you bet...
You've had enough, but let's see how is this last pip...

Burp! Burp! I've got to try this pip, though I'm full indeed!
Look at that other pip, please I've got to taste that pip...
Lordy me! I'm so full of durians that I feel I'm bursting..
But look at that newly opened durian, let me have one last pip...

Burp!... Burp!...

Premium Member As Darkness Descends

Blue morphs into a misty grey
within twilight's surreal light.
And dusk dissolves daylight away,
shading silhouettes inked by night.

Scarlet rivers flowing blood-red,
spill over the horizon's edge.
And as a crimson sky gets bled,
vermilion tints the mountain ledge.

Day acquiesces to the night
as darkness descends on the earth.
And stealthily slips out of sight,
preparing for the sun's rebirth.

A liquid moon pools high above
a fledgling firefly's flashing flight.
And beaming down on hearts in love
ignites passion's flame with its light.

Color the days color them bright
Color the stage that we play life
Color them vivid as starry night sky
Color them brown, red, green eyes

Stop for a moment in the blue breeze
Each sip of it component to guide peace
For every flower you would pick me
You find the power to tower your dreams

Color your smile sunny and wide
Finger painted funny, lips teal in time
Lost in passion of red heart
Hips cover bench at Park Road Park

We sit we stand we walk we run
We bike we hike we bathe in sun
Colorful pen writes save the page
Reverie of our weeks written down safe

Windy words flow spill over so free
Like sand sucking toes at Myrtle Beach
Cool wet weeds after a rain
Ferment memories like champagne.

Let the Past Be

‘Let the past be’ he said
Why disturb peace
Why not let sleeping dogs lie
Why awaken the dead
Why dig old skeletons
For you can’t stand the omen.

Why not cherish tomorrow,
Why not anticipate for the future
For there’s much to look for
To correct the past mistakes
To create new life
To wave path for the next generation.

What’s done is done
You can’t spill over split milk
And you can’t change the past mistakes
But can forbid the repetition thereof
And let bygones be bygones.

Yesterday is gone
And it remain in the past
For all that happened
Simply let it go
And concentrate ‘rather’
On the future
For the past is history.

With Deep Regards

Oh dear, oh dear!
Smile, and see the world outside
Open your door and come to this side
Live and play with the jubilations you desrve
Don't cry! Laugh, smile and live the life with the world outside.

Oh dear, oh dear!
Cheer, and feel the brightness of the day
Wake up from your gloominess and absorb the ray
Bask and savor with the gleam you pour
Don't hide! Seek, reach and meet the life with the cosmos everyday.

Oh dear, oh dear!
Stand, and dance on the athirst field of the awaited monsoon
Spill over with the rainbow from your misted essence
Dance and drench with the mizzly ambiance
Don't Slip! Toe, walk and run - the life with all self-reliance.

Oh dear, oh dear!
Speak, and scream from the top of the mountain
Listen to your own voice and let go the frosted pain
Fly and swing with your colourful amity feathers
Don't cease! Roam, wonder and prosper the life with your own reveries.

Oh dear, oh dear!
Sing, and choir along with the twittering birds cuddling
Theme with the nature so scenic and let blossom your awaited moments
Verse and rime with the melody you charm
Don't faint! Listen, fancy and dream the life with your utmost pride.

Oh dear, oh dear!
Smile, cheer, stand ,speak and sing
See, feel, dance, scream and choir
Live and play, bask and savor, dance and drench, fly and swing, verse and rime
With the world outside...
Open your door - we are calling you and play your eternal life.
