Iris sun fades and so does the day
whispers the carried in the silence of night glowing
Wishes floating on silver trails faraway
The image of your face will forever bounded to this world
Angels Brought you to me made a lightening
sparkling diamonds in the misting treasures gems so bright

Ice roses turns into a steaming jungle of quivering glass
Flashing in the distance, in the moon light
and all of its stars, that's where the angels dancing
A beautiful adventure picture sparklers on a winter night

A cold moon dressed in dark velvet
with a pearl milky white smile beams
Sparkling jewel crystal lights up
stars blinking silver awakening
warm invading darkness your light
My life has at last found its light and its hope

Soulful cries a wolf dressed in winter clothes
faraway over ocean waves
carries in a wind’s whisper sweet music dances
A magical night that will set the spirit free
Silently breathes out a puff of magic sweetly
beauty enchants warmly etching strikes
frosted fingers cracking ice deeply echoes

Striking inside bells toll warmly skipping drumbeats
bouncing of chamber walls loving tunes
Believing in your love a dream
Which enchants music of the butterflies dance
howling clouds out steaming warm sighs fluttering warmly
I closed my eyes at the end of the road
and thought of the stars
and the reason earth spins around the sun

Premium Member Rites of Harvest Moon --Hexsonnetta

When harvest moon alights,
to sail like gauzy lace
on through a cloud’s embrace...
I watch her mystic rites,
as beaming, she excites
my lithesome hours of grace.

How glorious the view
atop a mountain crowned…
with lilies all around
that settle on her queue,
beguiling eve, anew
when sparklers reach the ground.

Till weaves of dawn advance
which ends fine Luna’s trance.

Premium Member Peace, Joy, Contentment

Bright stars that shone behind the clouds
Magical fireworks lit the sky
New hopes and dreams danced round unshroud
While uncertainty tore the heart
Leaving stains 'pon the blue lined sheet
New Year can be an awesome start

Peace, joy, contentment slipped right through
An assurance no matter what
Everything good will soon breakthrough
New Year ride the light of sparklers
Dance round uncensored and uncut
Break off borders, release blinders

Bright stars that shone behind the clouds
Peace, joy, contentment slipped right through

Premium Member Ode To the Stars

Twinklers glint, shining above clouds
with a relay of dots in softest gold,
the sky transforming in a blink
to illuminate a shimmer in the air.

I wonder at your angled radiance
while frozen on the spot... my eyes awaken
and up there, a parade of twirling sparklers
like miniature bulb lights, combust.

The hues change from silver to red
a flicker splattering heaven's canopy,
that lovers gaze to breathe in the dew
of satin webs so delicate and frail.

Make a wish, your vibrant glare says
my face blushes praying for one dream
that makes me saunter, as in a trance,
drowning in the grandeur of your bliss.

Once upon a time
My lady called
I stood mesmerized
At ocean’s cusp

Glinting, glimmering, gleaming
Thousands of sparklers
Dot her sequined dress
Shouting
Look at me!
Look at me!

Breathless ripples strew pebbles at shores edge
Cormorants perch on hips of slate
Eyes of diamond reflect starry nets
Starfish mouth warm honeycombs of tide pools
Waves of breast, milky white, feed the minions
Feet of clay glue her honeyed presence

Roaring, rumbling, ripping
Like the sea serpents
Who call her waters home
She crashes
Into shore’s stationary sentinels
Whose feet she laps unceasingly

Capricious as she is
This lady is not fickle
The meditative state
Which hypnotized and paralyzed
Is there
For your embrace

Penny For the Guy

 On
a cold
autumn eve,
playful fingers
tangled, soft and shy.
The smell of hot chestnuts
wafted through the milling crowd,
a promise of comfort and warmth.
We watched, you and I, the skies explode
as rockets declared their secret desires.
Catherine wheels danced a dizzying response
while the bang of crackerjacks echoed,
spilling smoke quick into the night.
"Penny for the guy?", they cried.
Sparklers lit, searching lips,
the most tender touch.
We kissed, my heart
reflected
in your
eyes.

Autumn Equinox

Toss the ground around make the colours stand out loud
Rub your fairy boots in the dust, the autumn leaf is a must
The air has a nip that makes your cheeks aglow
The wheel turns now way before the snow

Rustic colours tumble and fall
How do you prepare for it all
Pull out the jumpers
Stoke the timbers high
Dont forget to look up at the sky

The dreamers are here
The wheel keeeps on going around
Souls Gather here on the earthly ground
Hark all the elements are Making a beautiful sound

Drums roll and the Fires are lit to Roar
Okay here it comes the new season you were waiting for
Lets gather around and come and celebrate and honour
Take an eternal vow before our Father and Mother

Oh how the wheel turns my soul
Makes me light aflame inside
My meditation is whole now I can abide!
Spitfire and fireworks sparklers will light and be burning
Time will always be told and the wheel will still be turning.....

Premium Member Me and My Pal the Mushroom King

Walking in the woods on a summers day
I ran across the savvy mushroom king
The old tight-wad geezer wanted to play
I played him checkers and a little chess.
The king was pretty good, I must confess.
Same time next week I asked the little guy?
Leaving, he said. How ‘bout fourth of July?

We made a little date, the mushroom king and I.
I would bring purple sparklers and fire crackers,
He promised lemon meringue faerie homemade pie.
I dreamed of lemon pie for nights and nights on end.
Glad to have a mushroom king for a new best friend.
We met on the fourth, and I gave a disappointed sigh.
I had the fireworks, but guess who forgot to bring the pie?

Green Town Ohio

Green Town, Ohio
where memories congregate,
granddads as time machines,
grandmas... magicians.

Two children leaping
in Superman sneakers
as if they are flying,
and smelling the fresh cut grass.

Sparklers and firecrackers
sizzle for dominance,
lighting their path through
the warm summer night.

Holding hands, tentative,
feeling the moment,
you can't put a price
on such innocent bliss.

Jimmy and Emily
out by the old oak tree,
making new memories,
stealing a kiss.

muddled thru times
come every fall
from the Taj Mahal
to sacred temples
to the humblest homes
around the world
the festival of lights
dazzles during five days
of exuberant worship
and lush ritual in celebration
of triumph of good over evil
millions of oil lamps and candles
and sparklers are lit
setting the nights ablaze
in honor of knowledge
and consciousness
as families gather and feast
unleashing prayers for peace

~*~*~*~*~

A little girl with dark brown braids.
White blouse, gold-colored wool skirt
and patent leather Mary Janes.
An only child with a wired haired fox
terrier that lived with Grandpa,
Mother and Father.

Her Mother, sweet, who saw to it
that she had ballet lessons, went
to a private school and Mother read
her poetry for hours.

A book collection she did have and
loved to read even before she really
could.

Playing with friends, riding her bike,
loved sparklers on warm, July Fourth
nights.

Saw men proud to wear a uniform,
who never came back from the war.
She did not understand when someone
stole her Teddy Bear during one of
many blackouts during the war.
Whoever would do such a thing?

No TV, no technology, just cut-outs,
crayons and she was taught to salute
the flag, because she lived in the land
of the free.

Children were safe, could go on the
train downtown.
But she cherished it the most when
hiding like a cub, under her Mother's
warm coat. The snow sticking to train
windows, peeking in.

Swimming at small lakes in summer how
she loved that the most. So suntanned,
she, the color of warm toast.

The girl knew song lyrics, she never forgot.
They live in her mind and heart and cannot
be turned off.

Years passed, the autumns and summers.
Family now almost all gone, yet somehow,
she remains young.

Always desirous of being herself, you won't
find the braided girl wanting to belong to
any crowd.

The music, the dance, her life, somehow
made her become a poetess.
Surely, not the best!
Being genuine is the gold standard for
all she writes. It must past this test!

She does not write to impress with great
finesse. Just to keep it simple as can be.
Thus~you will experience her poetry!

Drive-Ins On the Fourth On Many Years Ago Well Memories

July fireworks bring together families and friends
for a much needed vacation from worries and work.
Picnics at and on the lake just for memorie's fond taking.
I remember the days of old when watching a movie
outside amongs't the stars and moon.
Playground equipment of a slide and swing
nestled right next to an entraptment framed
sandbox.Oh to be youthful and exuberent again.
Lightening bugs flickering into the night.
Today's movies consist of many smaller theatres
jam-crammed tighter together than a can of
sardines. An alignment of multifleck'd multiplex
light beamed shows across the screens.
Remember when Fizzies were the rage-Just
dropp them in a glass of water and sniff the
boquet of different fruit flavored bubbles would
tickle the nose. Ah yes, different flavors of instant
soda pop in a colored aluminum or plastic glass.
Just like Alka-Seltzer-only better tasting.
Can you remember back wearing shorts and
igniting sparklers and black pills of instant snakes
arising from the sidewalks or street.
Yes those times were just real amazin', and real, real neat.

To the Sand Dunes

To the Sand Dunes
With the moon as competition,
A sack full of sky rockets,
We kids will bring fruition.

Firecrackers and dirt devils,
Sparklers and flares,
Sand in our shoes,
Sand in our hair.

Swinging a sky rocket,
We just felt grown up,
And if we got the colored kind,
We’d squeal and jump and jump.

Didn’t know much about
Independence and freedom then,
Just what we learned in school
And flags flying in the wind.

On the rolling sand dunes
In another far away land,
Our loved ones shot real fireworks,
Where there was no marching band.

I love them for it forever
And I always will,
But my 4th of July memories
Are on the tops of those sandy hills.
