Between the rows and rows of tombs of your beloved gone
I cover all the bones that lay beneath me-
I am the grass that grows.

Soft and green in sun and rain and when ice falls down, down
I rest peaceful under the pristine winter snow
for no footsteps break my smoothness
when fierce wild winds blow.
I am the grass that grows.

Come sad mourners in spring to weep and bring roses red
rest on my velvety smoothness and pray
do you hear the quiet whispers of the beloved bones beneath.
I am the grass that grows.

Premium Member The Sounds of a Rose

THE SOUNDS OF A ROSE

The Red Rose speaks softly
with velvety smoothness, it beckons me
come, hear my song of gladness
	as I sing a lullaby

The Yellow Rose has a sound of authority
beware the thorns of life as you are
	pricked by unforeseen events
tread carefully lest you stumble and fall

The Pink Rose is the rose of love shared
it sighs gently like a lover caressed
it glistens with dewdrops like tears of bliss
and seeks to be lovingly cared for

The Purple Rose is a rose easily bruised
its delicate nature makes it vulnerable
the aroma it creates is sensuous, yet innocent
treat it with care lest you crush its tender petals
love it with a certain purity and it will be yours forever

The White Rose is the symbol of purity
the voice is that of compassion
as it pleads with all who see it
be ye kind one to another

The Black Rose speaks in tones of finality
as it coaxes one on their death bed
come to me on your journey to eternity
where will you spend eternity is his question

Embrace the sounds of the rose
	when each comes your way
let them engulf you in the special manner
yes, embrace the sounds of the rose

Love the Soul

Come sit lets talk awhile
Show where your mind is at
Nothing else, not my style
Wish for us two to just chat

Love for unrefined conversation
No smoothness in your voice
Real talk not an explanation
Unprepared talk is my choice

Impressed by whats inside of you
Carefree without all the walls
Unguarded someone who's true
Someone whom my soul can call

Nakedness of vulnerability unsure
Pure untouched soul deep inside
That's what holds all the allure
Love the soul which you hide

Premium Member Amusing

He writes to me in curly cues painting
fractals on pressed paper made of rice.
Shreds of simple stalks are beaten to
bare the smoothness of his script.

We have not known each other long
but we have known each other since
man first made fire, the poet and his
muse. His presentation fascinates

with swirls of brush or indian ink
he strokes, both deep and long,
with pleasant pressure most often.
His words though highbrow smack
of pent passions, watering palates

and earthy scents. The wanting so sweet
no reality could fill the expanse, the
oceans of prose, the mountains which
jut provocatively, daring, inviting, the cleats

of man, use pinion and hammer triumphantly
upon the bounty of breast, the thigh of night
the whimper of dawn. Poet preen for your muse

Caress the unsullied parchment whiteness
in the hollow of my neck.

Premium Member Thank You, Photoshop

For turning my eyes into shallow Pacific blues,
because nobody likes Chocolate.

For transforming the freckled clusterbomb on my face,
into baby skin smoothness!

Because freckles are humanity’s alleged worst enemy
and I refuse to allow my self-confidence to stay Pro-Activ.

Thank you, Photoshop
for giving me that liposuction I ALWAYS wanted
in less than 10 minutes!

Working out is BENEATH me!
And I’m too busy dating these "5 Guys".

Thank you for bathing me in your Black & White Fountain of Youth!
60 is the used 25!

I refuse attempts in removing this fallacy
crawling under my lifted eye sockets.

My wisdom wrinkles shall stay imploded under pretentious needle.

Otherwise, I can’t continue to be fed
flirtatious appetizers by horny sheeple
and bi-curious copycats
hocking hairballs at the sight
of my airbrushed collagen lips
while they dry hump my computer generated thighs.

Their retinas grope my artificially inflated Grand Canyons
which are really only peaked valleys.

Yet, they won’t look at my defaults…

So, I thank you Photoshop
for being unable
to crop my misery.

Premium Member Pondering of a Puddle

Ponded and becalmed after the downpour, lying in shining stillness, I reflect an earthly existence; above me newly leafed limbs, and beyond, the wild beauty of motley skies in the afternoon’s brightening quietude. On the side of a country back road, I daydream. As leftover clouds drift in light and dark moods across my mirrored face, I ponder the possibilities of ‘what ifs’. What if life had taken me elsewhere - to a different time and place, filling another space, in another form and shape? What if I had fallen soft as a summer drizzle instead, dressing spider webs in misty strings of mini crystal beads.. or had filled a rusty-relic watering can, left behind ages ago beside an ivy-smothered stump.. or maybe had been wind-whipped with a vengeance into a swollen river rough and ready to ride the rapids.. What if, I had fallen as snow eons ago and now was found deep in an ice core in Antarctica.. how exotic! Straying cumulus find themselves captured in my imagination as well as in my liquid looking-glass oval, and my thoughts stray back to the soothing smoothness of my present reality. I know my time here, though sweet, is short-lived; and so I set my pondering aside and decide to seize upon the moment with contentment in my tranquil state of repose.

placid puddle mulls
lost in reflections of clouds -
spring rains laid to rest

Premium Member ambrosia -

your eyes close …

mine stay open, bewitched
my lips move soft along your cheek -
a sublime dermal journey
from nape to mouth
I brush yours with mine, as if
miming a sigh
and they part ... slowly ... sweetly
I pull back, slightly, then press again,
tender …
our lips fit … perfectly
the way my fingers fill the spaces
in yours - the way our
bodies merge like buttery heaven …
tongues touch and dance
twisting, loving, playing ... exploring
I taste, then tickle your teeth
running my tip along their
clean smoothness, as a stick atop
a white picket fence
(or fingers across piano keys)
seeking every corner ... every flavor
I savor each delectable nuance
that your pretty cheeks hide -
the wonderment of saucy spices
guarded by that dazzled smile
for me alone …
craving, you share the tang of mine -
remnants of your nectar still
clinging like honey …
it all mixes and swirls with
our sugary tongues -
a delicious delight …
a few stray strands of your platinum
herbal tresses caught between …
relenting to my fantasies
and the electric sensations that
flood my core -
our mouths devouring, hot
my eyes finally close
and I plunge your depths
lost in you ...

in our HUNGER.

Swimming With Ava~

Sinking pearls of stone, in an obligatory skip
before the plunge
Haloing the horizon in silver riddles
and the earth is still.
No tides to bite the green watered breath.
No new moons eclipsed by the earth's turn to greatness.
And we laugh.
Laugh in salty brine and cosmos air.
Following the stone's tunnels in a dive into the blue.
Capturing smoothness of hair and palms.
Breaking the evening ocean floor in rhythm
as we catapult to surface calm.
Silver tipped fish wings scatter in water rings.
Algae backed hermit crabs skitter on crackling legs.
And we are the epitome of glee tonight with a fist full of ocean
and two thirds of a wish never ending.

Sway - For the Adult Mind

You must learn self control
Because if your heart Continues
To beat obnoxiously
when you imagine
My pink lips softly parting and calling your name
Or when you close your eyes
And dream of the way my hips sway
Thinking of the curves between my shoulders and my thighs
And that when you twine your fingers in my hair
My body will quiver and my voice will sigh
If your heart becomes erratic
When you dream of the smoothness of my skin
And the dimples that exist on my hips and my back
The supple curve that your fingers wish to grasp
Thinking of the nectar that like a drug you crave
And of the way your hands would lay
and the way I might taste
If your heart pounds wildly
When you dream of a kiss
Or the way our bodies might fit
Laying on the silkiness of sheets
Breathing my name like you've never tasted oxygen
when you imagine the heat
I might bring to your skin
And the way you could change
What I feel within
Like I've never before felt sensation
if you heart wont behave
Then you might go crazy
Wanting me like you never knew
the meaning of want before
Convincing yourself your in love
Dreaming of a lust so outrageous
That meer thoughts can make
Your heart pound away
Imagining the way my hips sway

She strikes me with the way she walks
Her head held high and shoulders straight
A rhythmic smoothness in her step
The swing of arms matching her gait.

You might assume that she could be
A model trained to catch the eye;
Instead, she lives the dream of dance
This joy to life she won’t deny!

Premium Member Of a World Immeasurable

Within the velvet smoothness of eventide ,
Stardust explodes like glittering rhinestones
Lustrous as tinsels from a mystic world above
Expansive at will through its natural pulse.

How this celestial realm—from my mind’s lens--
Allows me to imagine Little and Big Dipper await
Their flight across a zigzag of infinite suns, unnamed
By life's harbinger: That in the flint of moonlight--
All I could offer is my promise
of soul- journey ‘s lasting exploration.

Premium Member Long Ago

Long ago I was given a medallion, a gift from a beautiful women
when she gave it she said "remember"
Whenever I look at it, I remember
The night, the music, the snow falling outside, the frosted windows
This medallion has a flower engraved on it, with the word love

When I look at the medallion a song plays in my head
a beautiful piece of music called Europa, it haunts me still
A night when love was held like a beautiful painting
by two souls lost seeking fire with hearts of caged emotion
where a timeless sense of forever was burned
into the fabric of our wants and needs

I can still smell her perfume, still, feel the smoothness of silk
still see the candles flickering she lit before playing Europa

On a small table, the empty wine glasses reflected the candlelight
in a glimmering glow
She led me into an unknown world with a smile
where every sense was opened and spilled

Of all the memories I hold close, none as tight as this one
The night I was taught romantic theater
by a beautiful woman and her music

Broken Acoustics

Audible
sounds
swimming
throughout
smoothness
...moving
dripping
refractions
bouncing
off lies
contrived
...propogation

waves
tinkering
acousticly
drumming
pathways
hearing
resounding

sounds

losses...
hearing
outside
lines...
unbroken
 mining...
slipping
under
surfaces
...muffing
reality
beating
...flooding
...drowning
...undermining
wavelike
reverbeating
liveliness
...surfacing

A Rugged Piece of Wood

A RUGGED PIECE OF WOOD

A rugged piece of wood became the stable where
Two people came to stay--the only room was there.
A rugged piece of wood became a manger fair;
A Baby soon was born and placed to sleep in there.
A rugged piece of wood the Carpenter would give
A smoothness in the shop where He and Joseph lived.
A rugged piece of wood--the fisher’s boat so strong--
He stood from once to preach to the people all day long.
A rugged piece of wood they took for Him one day
And forced Him down the road to drag it on the way.
A rugged piece of wood now fastened with three spikes
And raised up in the sky, becoming black as night.
A rugged piece of wood, drenched with His precious blood
Became my sin’s paid pardon when I trusted in that flood.
As I looked at that place where once the cross had stood,
I knew salvation’s mine through that rugged piece of wood.
And the blood that He shed there has cleansed my every stain
To give salvation free through faith in Jesus’ Name.
It may seem quite a price, but God said it was good;
He bought salvation there with a rugged piece of wood.
